I have twice 'repaired' Firefox, to no avail. After hours of Internet research, I've discovered the nature of the problem: it's called FirefoxCP Isolated Web Content. According to the many forums I've consulted, you're perfectly aware of it. So I don't understand : - why you don't take the trouble to reply to a user with a problem. - and, above all, that you're perfectly aware of the problem and don't do everything in your power to solve it. Starting early this morning I could not open a website (where I purchase supplements) I have accessed in the recent past. I added the address to the DNS listing but that didn't help. I am experiencing an issue with the Picture-in-Picture (PiP) functionality in Firefox on Ubuntu. Unlike on Windows, where the PiP window automatically appears when switching tabs or pages, this does not happen on my system.

When I manually activate the PiP feature by clicking the button, the window does appear; however, it is placed behind the browser window and remains at the lowest level among other open windows. It says on https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/about-picture-picture-firefox#w_keyboard-shortcuts that the hotkey to toggle `PiP is CTRL Shift ]`. When I play a video it shows the PiP button, but the hotkey doesn't work. The other PiP keys like seeking and volume work. I'm on Fedora 41 with KDE 6.3.3 & Wayland.

None of my saved passwords in my Mozilla account are showing up when I switch laptops and try to logon to various sites. Instead I have to manually enter the passwords for the sites every time even though the sites show that I have saved passwords for that site in my Mozilla account. When I type the password in a old or new site, Mozilla doesn't even ask if I want to save the password anymore.

the pic in pic feature doesn't work. When I click the icon to go pic in pic Firefox opens a new full screen window with the video. I can't see any way to toggle it to be a small screen at the edge of the screen I'm working in.

Please advise.

I just started having an issue with my browser where every time I tab out of a tab playing media, the pop-out video appears on its own. It's quite annoying. How do I stop this from automatically happening?

Recently I have run into a problem when using the zen browser on my Fedora laptop that I have been unable to resolve despite my best efforts ... specifically, when I double-click on a web-site I have bookmarked and stored under "Bookmarks Menu" it does not come up unless I manually select a container to open it in. I am using Firefox sync so as to keep zen and firefox in sync in both my laptop and desktop and firefox on my Driod. I have reinstalled zen from scratch, I have signed out fo sync and tested, I have disabled my "Facebook Container" extention, and I have attempted to set a default container for the workspace I am in, but nothing seems to change the problem I am seeing.

Do you have any suggestions as to how I can simply click on on bookmarks and see the website without any further clicks [like I used to do up until recently]? Is there any additional info I can give you? Thanks for your time!!! - John C

1. When I open a link in Firefox, the back button will not work taking me back to the page before.

2. I want to be able to open another page with another page open.

i have Linux Cinnamon 22 and want to stop the PIP on YT. I disabled/unchecked box for PIP on FFox and PIP still happen on YT. What can i do to stop this horrible PIP now ? thank you.

since firefox 133.0.3 i can no longer use video controls in youtube. youtube video controls (scrolling an sound volume) work when youtube is in firefox picture in picture mode. when picture in picture is disabled in firefox settings youtube controls still not work.

When using the PiP feature is there a way to switch whether it pauses the video when closing the PiP player?

Often if i want the audio to continue but dont want the popout player there and if I press the close button it will just stop the audio. If I select the PiP window and use the shortcut CTRL + SHIFT + ] the audio will continue playing as I want it however this is inconvenient and requires using the keyboard, is there any way to change it so that closing the popout player doesn't stop the tab from playing audio?

Everytime I open firefox i have to enable Picture-in-picture in settings, because it somehow gets dissabled everytime i close out of firefox, its annoying and I dont how to fix it, and cant find anyone else having this same problem.

This question relates to version 134.0.2 (64-bit). This morning I started Firefox and found that many of my bookmarks were missing. On trying to restore from the program automatic backups, I get the repeated message "Unable to process the backup file." On examination, the files, while not in ASCII, appear to contain ASCII text strings recognizable from the bookmark descriptions. They are not, at least, empty. Unfortunately, I do not have an HTML format backup. Any idea why none of the backups work or what options I have? Thanks in advance.
