Even though CPU and GPU utilization is very low during 8K60fps Youtube playback in the Firefox browser on my base M4 Mac mini, the struggles heavily to play this, drops tons of frames, and the video almost stops playing.

8K 30 fps is not problem, and since utilization is pretty low, that doesn't explain the poor performance.

So please optimize 8K60fps Youtube playback on all platforms in the safari browser, but especially on Apple SIlicon Macs.

I've been experiencing frequent white screen issues while using [Firefox or a specific website]. At random times, the screen goes completely white, and I have to refresh or restart the browser to get it working again.

Steps I've Tried So Far: Clearing cache and cookies – No improvement. Disabling add-ons/extensions – Still happens. Updating Firefox to the latest version – No change. Running in Safe Mode – Issue persists. Checking hardware acceleration (turned on/off) – No luck. I also tested my display using https://whitescreentest.net/ to rule out any monitor-related issues. The test itself runs fine, so I believe the problem is browser-related.

Has anyone else faced this? Could this be related to graphics settings, a specific extension, or something else?

The Firefox browser does not function now. I thought I had to update, got an error - Couldn't load xpcom and an entry point error, I have no clue what to do.

firefox is my default browser' i use Win 11 never had an issue before with Firefox *Email hidden for privacy*

Updated Foxfire with that usual automatic request on my desktop - has worked for years. Now I am getting the message : Error: Platform version 131.0.3 is not compatible with miniVersion >=131.0.2

When I select OK- the site closes out. I cannot get access to even check the download. Thank you

For the past several weeks I have been having issues where some parts of websites don't load like on Twitch and amazon, and YouTube videos are choppy and pause playback frequently. I have a 7800 X3D CPU, 32 GB of DDR5, and gigabit Ethernet so its not a problem with outdated hardware. I also reinstalled the newest drivers twice, updated my bios, updated Windows, and reset my router so I'm not really sure whats causing the problem. I tested twitch and youtube on Edge and the issues are kinda there but considerably better. I was having similar issues on youtube several months ago when I was using opera, so I switched to firefox and it seemed to fix the problem until now.

It’s really frustrating because I can’t browse or do anything online. I’m not sure if it’s a problem with the browser itself, my internet connection, or something else. Does it have to do with the number of tabs I have open or any extensions I’ve added? I want to know how to fix this issue so I can use Firefox without it crashing all the time. Any tips on what I can check or do to make it more stable would be really helpful.

I rate recorded interviews from another website. For years this has worked weill but over the last 7 days of say 10 interviews thee are 2 I cannot hear. I clik on them and clearly they have been recorded as the time runs. Others tell me that they can hear the interviews. When I swith to Chrome I can hear them. I want to continue with Firefox my ffavorite browser

I am no longer allowed to join a video conference that I was able to join several months ago. Some how, some where a setting was changed and I have not been able to find it. Please direct me step by step to change the setting necessary for me to join this video conference.

I have just had Windows 11 reinstalled on my Laptop, I synced everything over from my desktop but Setup VPN and Hoxx icons which would be with other add-ons are missing, I emailed both suppliers. I followed their instructions and found that both add-ons are enabled but no icons. I don't appear to have any overflow, no '>>' I tried uninstalling them but still no icons to enable me to use these.

I have struggled with logging into E*trade using Firefox with no real solution other than clearing cache and cookies each time. After downloading No Script extension, I have identified adobedtm.com to be the cause of the eternal white page hangup when trying to access E*Trade. Wanted to make this info available in case a fix can be made without the extension.

When I am on espn.com/fantasy team pages everything loads correctly except for one popup table that does not. It will occasionally display but usually doesn't. When it fails to display, the scrollbar disappears but nothing shows. I tried clearing cache and cookies (Ctrl + F5, Settings + Clear data, etc.), refreshing firefox, and disabling all addons/extensions but the problem persists. I also tried turning off hardware acceleration and turned off proxies and secure DNS but nothing worked. I noticed this "_error.js" message in the debugger:

I was working with responsive view mode and noticed that sensor scroll with mouse is broken. I checked on another PC and the problem there too. I don't know how to describe it, but I made a video and uploaded it to a website so you can watch it.

First of all, THANK YOU for volunteering. I've donated to Mozilla over the years and appreciate this product. Okay, here's my issue....I'm OLD! HA! Onto the pertinent issue I hope can be solved here:

I use Otter ai to transcribe my healing sessions w/ clients (I'm an energy healer-I see dimensions within the human energy field). I'm a "low-end" user (I just made that up) because it's just me. When I try (operative word) to export and actually hit the "export" button, I get this stupid, crappy, dangling box about ChatGPT (see image below). There's no place to respond yes, no, or to close it out. The only thing I can do is hit "escape" to make it disappear but then I'm kicked out of the export process to view the original screen listing my recent meetings.

Specifics: I have a Macbook Air, macOS Sonoma version 14.4.1 w/ an Apple M1 (no idea what all this but assume it's useful for you). FF is my default browser. I use otter thru FF rather than an app on my Mac. In FF settings I've added otter ai to a list that allows website popups. I don't use Chatgpt or whatever it does on otter. I just want to export the text.

Sadly, otter ai customer support has been dismal. So, I've turned to you folks. I'm not super computer savvy, but hope I've done the basics to rule out issues. Oh, I've also logged out then in to Otter, rebooted my laptop a bunch- all the things to reset. Didn't work.

Hi, For several months (maybe even up to a year) I have been unable to edit any existing appointments or events in google calendar while using Firefox.

I can open an existing event, make changes, but the Save button never works. It just stays on that screen.

I can switch to any other browser and it works as expected.

I prefer using Firefox but have tried to find a solution several times to no avail. I have also reinstalled several times.

Any ideas?

I have a 2012 MacBook Pro, still using maverick's … I tried to upgrade Mozilla and now it doesn’t work.

I am shy of what’s needed to run the latest Firefox version and I’m not able to buy a newer laptop, how can I get restated again with the version that will still work on my MacBook ?.

I currently run extensions Privacy Badger, ClearURL's, and Facebook Container recommended by Firefox as well as UBlock Origin, and CanvasBlocker (currently disabled because it might have stopped some sites from loading).

Does anybody have experience running all these extensions at once? Is there an order in which multiple extensions are executed? Will they play nicely together or create conflicts among themselves? Are there recommended troubleshooting processes in case they don't?. I imagine that there must be some overlap of functionality somewhere in here, so any experience or advice is appreciated. I found no info when searching for the order of execution.

Extension purposes. UBlockOrigin and Privacy Badger used to block tracking, seem to block different trackers and usually do well together. CanvasBlocker is to try and limit browser fingerprinting, was running with the above two extensions until I had an issue connection to a website, don't remember which one, disabling CB fixed it and I haven't tried to figure out why yet. ClearURL's because almost all search engines are going to attach tracking to url's.
