Using current Firefox (84.0.2) on an iMac desk computer. Since Apple put out their recent upgrade to OS Big Sur (2019 ~Nov?), Firefox keeps dropping its internet connection. Works for a session, but when I come back a few hours later I see "Unable to connect..." Restarting always gets it back to start another session. But rebooting several times every day gets old. When Firefox is on the blink, Safari browser works fine, no problem. Connection is there. But my fullest set of bookmarks is in Firefox, so I'd rather use Firefox. Even more strange: Safari and Firefox both continue to work on my wife's desktop same iMac, no problem, just not Firefox on mine. Found help article "Firefox can't load websites but other browsers can" (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-cant-load-websites-other-browsers-can), went through every step to troubleshoot. No go, still drops. Contacted Apple support and they were flummoxed. Any ideas?

Bug 513418 suggests that private browsing windows are meant to use a dark theme, like Chrome, but this doesn't appear to be the case. Without this it's hard for me to quickly tell the difference between a normal window and a private window.

Is this an intentional change, or is a bug preventing private windows from using a dark theme?

I'm using Mac OS Big Sur and my setup has an external display. When using any other application on my mac, I can use Window > Move to <display name> to move windows to my external display and back. Because I can map a keyboard shortcut to this function, I use this all the time to move my windows around so I don't have to take my hands off my keyboard.

Firefox however seems to be the only application that doesn't implement this for some reason. Has any other Mac user found a way around this?

When starting a video on "VIDANGEL" the sound and video is not synced so i have to turn off my EQ8 EXTENSION then press the reload button and sometimes it works. Most times now i either have to do this procedure multiple times or just leave Firefox and head to google chrome. Can someone help?

Before when using Firefox, if I wanted to print, I could select - from the File drop down menu - either Print or Print Preview. Now Print Preview seems to have disappeared! All I get is Print and then a selection menu makes me manually select custom to list the page or pages I want, and then select the size of the printed page - all VERY inconvenient and VERY difficult to use. What happened? Was that an update to Firefox recently. If so, VERY poor decision and programmer that decided on this change should be fired.

I have populated my LastPass vault with log-in IDs and passwords but they will not populate automatically when I try to log in to those websites. How can I get this to work? (Mac Mini, OSX v. 10.11.6)

I have forgot my password to my account and also lost the 2FA codes. Since I have no longer access my account, I want Firefox to delete my account. I used a backup email on that account. I tried to open a new Firefox account with that backup account, but I wasn't allowed to create a new account with that backup email address.

I can provide you my national ID,passport and other ID cards to prove that I am the real owner of the account.

You can even video call me if you want but please delete my account so that I can open a new account with those emails.

Hi, My default homepage URL is set to always open in a specific container. I only have a single page in my home page settings (not opening multiple on launch)

Just recently (assume since the last update to 84.0.1), when launching the browser the homepage is no longer opening in the specific container.

When I refresh the home page that launches with the browser, it refreshes and launches into the designated container as expected.

I there some setting that could effect this or this is bug?

Just switched over to Mac, trying to work out how to set it so that when you click 'Open File' rather than 'Save File' it only downloads a temporary file and opens it for you (like it does in Windows and like it's meant to do as the support pages have said) however on my laptop it now saves properly to the Downloads folder and stays there after I close the file rather than deleting it - does anyone know how to fix this?

Hello, I update Wordpress pages on downtownlanguages.org. The past couple of days, the site's top menu bar covers up the page headings on all the pages and does not scroll with the rest of the page. I don't know if this is a Firefox problem or a Wordpress problem. The pages display correctly in MS Edge and on my iPad. To my knowledge, I've done nothing in WordPress to cause this to happen. I have refreshed Firefox and cleared startup cache but it did not resolve the problem. Please help. Thank you! See https://downtownlanguage.org/donate for an example.

I have always been able to use Firefox as the default browser when launching hyperlinks from MS Office products. Last week, i received notice that FLASH is no longer supported and should be removed.

I did this.

Now - when i have a hyperlink in ANY MS product - it does not launch. When i change default browser to MS Edge - they work

How do i get this back to working in Firefox

When I browse in full screen mode and try to save something (a web page or a picture... it doesn't matter) the dialog box does not show up on the screen - only two big buttons on my touch bar which allow me to "cancel" or "save".

Is there a way to fix that?

This problem appeared a while ago since the last udates of Catalina I guess and is still there on macos Big sur.

I have 2 separate firefox accounts, one is my personal profile and the other one is for school. I recently made the switch from brave to firefox and I had the same thing but the profiles were pinned to the taskbar for easier access. I cant do this for firefox because i pin one shortcut and I right click the other shortcut but its connected to each other so it shows unpin from taskbar.

I spend more time LEARNING how to do this or that with my computer. Thousands of hours wasted over the years. I guess some kids think this is fun. Not me. I downloaded "SingleFile" hoping it would be easy to use, but it's not. I used to use things like UnMHT but that' gone. Todays problem is that I don't have a printer hooked up to my computer. I bought a car part online and wanted to print the oversized receipt. I downsized the page and took a screenshot of the receipt. Took the screen shot and put it on a stick. Next I turned on my wife's computer which has a good printer connected to it. I transferred the file to her computer, but the printout was very shabby looking. How can I get around the problems of saving pages and / or printing them ? Switch to a different browser ? You must know my email by now. Please send me an answer. Ray P.S. Should I be using Thunderbird or something ? Really confused. Another problem is that people don't know how to explain things. It's like they're using a different language with words missing. OMG :-(
