A couple of weeks ago all of my bookmarks disappeared from my profile. The toolbar is empty and when I click manage bookmarks, the entire interface is blank. When I attempt to do the restoration method suggested in the firefox guide, nothing happens when I click the restore button from the drop down. I tried logging out and logging back in, but that didnt help unfortunately. Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated.

Firefox completely changed overnight without notice and I have lost all my bookmarks and can't find out how to access TV channels that were easily available previously on my desktop. Trying to make sense of changes but struggling. Nothing that used to work for me is still available. I don't even recognise it. Might have to give up Firefox.

I had to erase my laptop and am in the process of resetting it up. I used firefox prior and am trying to see if it is possible to restore all my previous bookmarks etc. I was told it automatically backed them up.

I opened Firefox this morning and there were no bookmarks or history. After looking online, I came to the conclusion that I needed to find the places.sqlite and bookmarkbackups files and folders. However, I can't seem to locate either.

I am running Firefox v153.0 (aarch64) on Mac OS v. 26.5.2

I have Time machine backups, but I need help locating the correct files to restore. Thank you.

see above... i do not like what ever you did to my firefox opening page yesterday, i lost the top right marker that opened all my bookmarks which i had a bookmark for my email now that is gone so i can not get my email. on my previous computer, I used firefox without an account. I uploaded a zip file from my desktop using Firefox. I'm wondering if there is any chance that zip file is still accessible and whether there is a chance it can be retrieved?

Upon restarting my laptop earlier today, I realized that ALL my Firefox bookmarks have disappeared into thin air. Gone (or, rather, "empty") is my bookmarks toolbar, and my bookmark menu, and everything else. What to do? Thank you.

My bookmarks have disappeared. I have followed the steps to restore them under the FAQ, but at Step 2 ("In the Library window, click the import-export-arrows button and then select Restore"), when I click Restore, no list of backups appears from which to select the one I want to restore. I have been using Firefox for years and have loads of useful bookmarks. How can I get them back?
