When I search information on the web I am told that I need to upgrade my browser. I have followed instructions and I now have a few icons that show "firefox 3,6" but does apparently not have any effect in the system. I get the sign " download" and I do that , why does it not work.

I am using a mac, I am deleting some duplicate imported bookmarks and folders. FF lets me delete most bookmarks, but not select ones. Some folders can be deleted and others not.

I tried the three delete methods (toolbar, righthand click, and command delete) nothing seems to work. I tried restart FF and then the computer as well. Tried online suggestions. No luck

clicked to start download, before it would start i was asked where to put it. logic seemed to say to put it in the applications folder, did that. It downloaded. I was not able to follow the steps as shown on firefox site. I tried restarting the computer, no luck. It the system is as you say "detecting my system and language" and suggesting the best version, am i out of luck because of my old computer or what?

My Operating system is 10.2.8 on the original iMac. I currently have Firefox 2.0.0.20 loaded in my applications folder When I click on the firefox dmg folder it tries to load something but stops short everytime to complete the execution. I have not been able to open any dmg file on my computer. How can I update my version?

I download the file, but can't open it:

• double clicked to open
• error window tells me the file is corrupt or damaged

I trash it and download again:

• same thing happens

I am on power mac with osx panther 10.3.9 I have tried to upgrade my program several times, always with same result.

I had Firefox 3.6.something (I'm not sure). When it said I needed to update to 4.0, I just clicked ok. Now I cannot open Firefox. I removed it and looked for an older version, but all I can find is 2.0 and still cannot find a version in between the two.

I recently updated to version 5.01. But for me to access my employer's intranet I apparently need version 3.5, so I will need to instal it again. Please advise on how to do that/where to get hold of the disk image. Thanks a lot!

In an earlier version of Firefox I loved a certain function: When I typed a word into the browser bar Firefox would mosltly start the web-page that belonged to that word. ('yahoo' would open http://yahoo.com) Now I only see the google results...

Do I have to change something in the preferences or is it completely gone? Thanks in advance!!

I have Firefox 5.0.1. I exported my IE Favorites/bookmarks to a USB key. When I go to import bookmarks, Firefox only lists under "Import Settings and Data" Safari as the only option ... what am I doing wrong?

I have a mac using lion. The firefox icon is in the dock. It will open firefox the first time I click it then it will no longer put it up until I completely close it.

I'm on Mac OS lion and since your new upgrade, the page loads off center, with no scroll bar, this happens on every computer I run.

In order to have the page load correctly, have to manually resize the page.

How can I fix this?
