i have firefox 99.0.1 64 bit in a linux system. i see fail in play of sounds. videos plays well, youtube, soundcloud and others play well, the thing is the play of sound only, in for example dictionary sites

for example in wiktionary in the page Europe sometimes audio plays well the first time, but it sticks at the beginning of play in replay. if i play it in loop in this page https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/46/En-us-Europe.ogg it plays well but again in playing it one time it sticks

in the page english (see the small letter) of the same site as it is not changed to the new control bar i go to menu > players where i have the html5 and javascript options, failing the former and doing well the latter, so you may think the fail is in html5, but in this page http://atticgreek.org/pronunc/sigmaU.html inspecting the page i see that sound works by javascript and i have a similar fail as the first word nósos plays well but the second présbeis again plays only the beginning and sticks

I'm unable to remove the settings and changes of the Extension I want to reset the Extension Because it does not work well because of settings

ITS VPN its show :"with login" But it's been stuck like this for days I tried deleting the Extension and reinstalling But it's still stuck like that what did I do:

I wrote my email in the Extension and clicked Log in

And since then it's stuck like that

I do not want to remove all Extension or reset all firefox I just want to fix this specific Extension

I would love to know where data of each Extension is stored

That way I can delete the specific data of this Extension

AOL Mail and Twitter no longer load starting today using the Firefox browser. Have restarted and pretty much spent a couple hours trying to fix on my own. AOL keeps trying to load the mail but won't...but works great on my IPAD and my IPhone. Same with Twitter...it's just stuck on the loading screen. Cleared history and cache but nothing works. HELP.

Over the past few days, I've noticed that whenever I type something in either the Google search bar or the address bar, the search results never load. The page flashes for a second, then stops working. The Google search engine and Google products, e.g. trying to log into Gmail, are the only things affected by this glitch. However, I can access everything and obtain search results in a Private widow, but not by using the regular browser interface. I've been using Firefox for years, and I've never had this issue. I've cleared the cache and I've tried disabling add-ons. How do I fix this issue?

I tried several 2-factor authenticators and finally got one to work. On my phone I have Duo and it is not giving a valid code. I got a message " a verification code was sent to xxx@xxx.com but it never arrived. I get new login notifications or email changes immediately. I tried 2 email addresses in case there was a problem with one. They both behave the same way. I always get a the message on the sign on page that a code was sent to xxx@xxx.com. Is it picking up the period at the end of the sentence? Not likely, I'm sure. For me the best solution is to NEVER log out again but if I buy a new computer I'm going to have trouble again.

When I open Firefox I usually open several tabs simultaneously. Most open. but sometimes one site gives me a Secure connection failed error, but try again always works. It tends to be the same two or three websites, but often they open fine the first try. Its annoying, but I always can connect. What might be the cause? I lost all my comments I think it was before the last upgrade, I can see them perfectly on Microsoft edge but not here and not on IE. I tried some of the old posts changing themes to no avail, and I am currently in troubleshooting mode and still nothing. Is their a fix? I do not want to use the M.E. crap. Thanx!

I'm not even sure where to begin looking or diagnosing this issue, but whenever I attempt to use Firefox (99.0.1 (64-bit)) with Google Voice (pinned tab) now to make a call, it knocks me off of the WiFi connection. This last time, it didn't reconnect automatically, so I shut down Firefox and restarted my computer. When Windows (10 Pro) was restarting, I saw a blue 'updating' screen like when there are MS updates, but when I got back into Windows and checked "View update history", there's nothing showing as updated today. I checked in multiple dropdown areas (i.e. "Quality Updates", "Driver Updates", etc.)... Nothing showing as updated today

I get an ERROR when I try to access the OKCupid.com Site from my PC (Firefox, latest version) or use the link from the email sent to me by OKCupid (which should open in Firefox).

I’ve cleared all cookies and still get a screen that says :

“It’s not you, It’s us. We’re having trouble reaching our servers. Please try again”

Retrying does not help.

I can get access using Microsoft Edge.

Is there a solution for the problem ?

The attached image is my task manager which shows as being resource hungry for Firefox.....Firefox(9) @ approx 500MB.

This was taken immediately after desktop was rebooted.... nothing else started up....no other users having previous access....ie immediately after reboot

Are the nine sessions normal?

Firefox response time is also slow.

Any suggestions?

I would like to request a feature that will automatically collapse any add-on not active in the correct tab to fold back into the overflow arrow, simple as that

Firefox is my browser of choice. For the most part, it works great. In fact, the only issue I've ever had with it is one website in particular not loading. Unfortunately, that website is the site that I use to check my schedule for work, so it not working is kind of a big deal to me. On occasion, it simply will not load. Frankly, that is not a big deal. I can always check back later, when it might work. However, on Firefox, even when the site does load, certain elements do not load. For example, there is a built in tool that includes company updates, scheduling info, et cetera. While it consistently loads perfectly in Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome, it appears only as a white box in Firefox that occupies the same space but cannot be interacted with. I have tried easing up privacy settings for that website to no avail. I looked to see if there was a javascript option I could toggle, but I could not find it and I am not sure that is the issue anyway. The site is feed.kroger.com, although the authentication page occupies a different URL. Other Kroger family websites have worked without trouble; this is the only one that acts buggy.

Recenetly, firefox updated and logged me off my firefox sync account, i do not remember the password and the only way i could get access back to the account would be to reset my password in the cost of all my data i had on the account, which does not make sense because why would i want my account back if its gonna be empty with no data whatsoever, i would like to believe that theres an alternative solution where i dont have to lose all my logins and passwords.

I have Firefox set to "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" but it doesn't do what it says it will. Cookies are deleted, but the cache remains. I want to keep a history of the sites I've visited, but have no cookies or cache saved when I close- see images below.

The first is how I have it set for Firefox when I close. The second is an example when I reopen Firefox - the cache is still there. I never have any exceptions set up and don't need to.

When I ask this question on this forum all I get is a response that looks like its by a bot. It repeats the instructions for clearing the cache that do not work that I already know, but never address my actual issue.

Is this a feature that just doesn't work, and is ignored by Firefox, even though their entire rap is that they have more privacy oriented than other browsers? Privacy washing perhaps?

Or is there some setting I am missing?

This is the issue: anytime I have firefox open, it is running between 16%-30% CPU usage (consequently running a train on my battery when not plugged in, and making the laptop fan go wild 100% of the time, reducing battery life from a normal of 2-3 hours to less than an hour). It doesn't matter if I disabled ALL addons/extensions, same issue; closed all tabs, issue persists; turned off "restore tabs after I close firefox", issue persists; cleared all but the last 2 months of browser history, issue persists; flipped all performance/use hardware acceleration settings on and off again, issue persists; loaded firefox in safe mode, issue persists. I've searched through all possible similar solutions given on these forums, and none of them have helped, I'm at my wits end here because chrome will not do anything near this on the same computer even with like a dozen tabs open.

I have firefox on multiple computers with windows 10, both laptop and desktop, and this issue is only occurring on a single laptop of mine with windows 10, a mobile i7 processor from 2018, 16gb ram, and a mobile nvidia 1050ti gpu, so it's not like this is an underpowered laptop. I keep my browser updated, my windows updated, my graphics drivers updated, and my addons/extensions updated regularly. This only started in the last few days and the only thing that changed was a windows update (minor not major), but again it's literally only firefox that is having this issue.

Firefox is unable to send the request at the startup, meaning it's just keep showing loading... and then opens the webpage after a couple of minutes. PC and the internet connection is fine. What could be the issue?
