Since updating to 34.0.5 I have not been able to use my drop down menus on parts of websites. The first drop down appears fine, but the flyout child menu drop downs are only visible for the first one and one half of the menu items, the rest are cropped out of visibility. This is also occurring in Firefox Dev version.

I did start Firefox in safemode and that fixed the issue, but then restarting in regular mode and disabling all add-ons did not fix the problem. Very strange.

Ideas? I'm a developer and I need those drop downs as all my admin menus are drop downs, so I currently can't use firefox at all.

I'm using the Mac version, and Mac osx 10.10.1

Here is the link I see everywhere that there is a video link option., I do not see any way to click through 7 GET the update! Should I update everything such as Java too, & how? Thank you!

Having set up sync, I assumed info from all my devices would be merged, not so. I set up sync on my desktop, then synced my laptop and all the info from the laptop disappeared. There were a lot of useful bookmarks there but I cannot now find them. Can I recover previous setting/bookmarks/history when a new device is synced? Also why is the no warning as to what will happen to browser information on subsequent devices when they are synced. Horrible thought also comes, have I lost my log in data that may have been unique to the laptop?

Since the latest update/install of Firefox, it no longer allows navigation via typing in the address bar. Even if I type the whole address and hit enter or click the "go to" arrow, nothing happens. I have to navigate to a website by googling it and following their click-through links.

I'm no n00b - this is clearly a fault with the latest version, or some interaction/default setting that's getting in the way. I'd welcome any ideas.

Firefox help articles on the latest version state: "Web search in the address bar - When you type in the location bar and press Return, Firefox takes you to search results using the search provider selected in the search bar."

Uh, no Firefox. Your address bar takes me precisely nowhere!

On opening browser, I am asked to set default browser. After I do that I get a message giving me options I assume to be from Msoft: continue using FFox, choose IExp, choose program from store. I have a screen shot, if you need it.

I've just updated my Mac's Firefox to 34.0.5. In the previous version I had used about:config to set the browser.download.useToolkitUI to true so that the old-style downloads window always came out during downloads. Now I find that setting is apparently no longer being respected??? I've tried setting it to false, restarting, setting it to true, restarting again. And still the only response to a download is that the annoying arrow in top-right goes blue.

Is there a way to get the downloads window to come out in this new version?

When I launch options a blank window pops up. It says options in the title of the window along with a Ok and a cancel button. The rest of the window is blank so I cannot customize firefox as I have in the past.

I am not able to search on Google.com and mostly all of the search engine, it is showing Untrusted connection and if I enter complete website then it works sometime(e.g www.facebook.com). I have already tried setting up the real clock timings. Also, even after downloading ad-blocker, I am still facing ad problems.

Can't print in fire fox 34.0.5 get a window to save when I click on the print. Right now I can't print shipping labels on ebay or emails from my yahoo account. I notice there was a update on Dec. 9th 2014 would this have something to due with it?

I'm having trouble with solving an issue regarding hit counts a server registered. I apologize in advance if this is posted in the wrong thread/forum but I'm completely new to the topic and need every help I can get. The situation is the following: I had an account on a server (not my own server) and downloaded little above 2,000 files (images) that were allocated on different pages within the same domain on that server (a gallery, so to speak). After I was done with that, I got the message that those downloads generated over 17,000 hit counts and was asked if I used any kind of download plugin or script. Since I didn't use any kind of plugin, add-on or script for that purpose, I now have trouble understanding where those 17,000 hit counts come from. So my guess is that maybe it has something to do with my add-ons. I'm using Firefox with add-ons like Wappalyzer, Firebug and also a download-plugin, DownThemAll. However, I did not use it during those downloads. So my question would be if somebody knows if there's any known issue with Firefox including those add-ons, e.g. they generate server requests without being used actively or something similar. For example, I'm not sure if DownThemAll generates server requests for every single element on the accessed web page beforehand to have the links ready in case you open the add-on and want to download them. Does Firefox itself revealed such behavior in a similar case? Does anybody know more about this? Or maybe someone has another idea what could cause such an enormous amount of hit counts, even though I didn't use any script or plugin? I'd appreciate any help or advice, thanks in advance. If further questions occur about my issue, I will gladly answer them.

firefox is telling me that each website that runs adobe player says its running an outdated version and needs to be updated. Whenever I try the link provided to update adobe, it says I'm running on the most up-to-date version.

Hello, I was struggling to sign in into the Support site yesterday and while this problem was dealt with I was adviced to upgrade to the latest version of Firefox since the system noticed I was using an old one. I was using Firefox 33 with no problems or major issues at all. Nevertheless I went ahead with the update, which gave me version 34.0.5. So good so far until I went to play some of my usual TV series, which I had been following with the previous version, only now it would not play at all.

I know these TV series, comming from abroad might contain some harmful content to my machine or others, but I am well covered and as I say earlier they were playing fine in the previous version of Firefox. Just earlier the same day.

I'll be grateful if you could shed some ideas into this.

I can't login to my school website anymore since I have updated my firefox to 34.0.5. I have deleted the cert8.db, and still having the same issue. Please Help! When I click on the Mozilla icon (fire globe) I want the Bing home page to appear, it did so until about a month age. Now I get the Mozilla fire globe and must search for Bing which is my search page. WHY!!!

When I open a video or audio site like the NPR media player http://www.npr.org/player/v2/mediaPlayer.html?action=2&t=1&islist=false&id=370394953&m=370394958&live=1 I get an Adobe Flash Player Settings request for Local storage. Clicking accept or deny doesn't do a doggone thing. I don't have the problem with Google Chrome, but I really prefer to use Firefox. I've had the problem with other sites beside NPR (National Public Radio's All Things Considered). It doesn't interfere with downloading, but it really does with the NPR player. My world won't end if you don't solve the problem, but it would be nice if you could. I live in the Philippines, so that might be a factor.

I use Windows 7 over a local (Globe Telecom) DSL network

About a week ago Firefox opens two windows (my homepage and a blank new window) when I open the program. This also occurs if the website I am on opens a new window (the window for the website and a blank new window). Until this started happening Firefox ran perfectly. Any suggestions?

Ever since Firefox updated to 34.0.5, I have experienced numerous video and audio problems. Initially, I couldn't play videos at all, but installing Shockwave Flash fixed that. Then all of my videos played silently. I updated my plugins (Quicktime and VLC were the only ones asking for an update) which shouldn't have fixed the problem as I do not believe I was actually using those plugins at the time, but nevertheless it seems to have worked. Now I can play videos with sound, but the quality of that sound is severely reduced and even occasionally staticky. What gives?
