I get no warning when auto updates begin installation. I get notified about 1/2 way through the process. The pc (Win 10 pro 64bit) slows to a crawl for 5-10 minutes, then the install finishes, & then it's another 5-10 minutes before the pc is usable.

I would really appreciate a "update is available" notification, which I would agree to at a convenient time. This is really getting to be problematic. Other browsers that do auto updates don't hose my pc.

In Firefox, when I type 'news' into google instead of getting a list of links it takes me straight to the Financial Times website. Is this an issue with google or is Firefox being hyjacked?

On Thursday the pages I have used every day for years worked fine. Today pages like Ancestry.com, familysearch.org, facebook, twitter. None are loading. Was there an update that happened since Thursday? How can I go back to the previous version that worked perfectly? I did check and my system says I'm using the most current version Win10 computer (2 years old if it matters).

I am trying to my account to authy but after I scan the QR and type the code, FireFox say wrong codes. Authy worked fine with many other accounts so what to do ?

Hello everyone. The calendar add on at the side of my Gmail account does not open after the latest Firefox update (116.0.1), but it does work in troubleshoot mode. Could you please advise? Thank you.

All of a sudden this morning Firefox is displaying pages (my purchases on Amazon) in Times Roman font. On other sites, I hover over a link which should be active, but clicking does nothing. YouTube doesn't play, just hangs with the in progress circle spinning. Anybody know what can be causing these issues? I've rebooted my Windows 10 laptop several times, but I can't Firefox to work.

I seem to remember that there was a setting to open with a standard set of sites, selected by me. I may be mistaken but it is a pain to keep opening these everytime I log on. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

My phone number has changed. How can it be updated in Firefox?

my Other Bookmarks is no longer in my bookmarks toolbar. I have two laptops and the other one is perfect. I tried sycing many times, I did a restore (which I shouldn't have) but nothing makes them reappear. While I can access these bookmarks from the menu bar, I want to see it in my bookmarks toolbar. It did not fall off into my customized overflow either. Whaaaatttt is going on? I need to put it back asap without spending hours trying to make this simple thing happen. Also, why did it disappear? And why won't a sync bring it back?

My original question was how to prevent McAfee demands to be installed. The reply was "That isn't a Firefox issue but McAfee support to resolve for you. Also check with McAfee site and support about their software issue. Also Firefox Browser doesn't do popups to buy a product or software. " However the title of the popup IS Firefox. Would you suggest that McAfee is the originator of the malware?

It seems this is not a new problem. It just began today for me....

As you can see from the screenshot I don't have the new tab button (+), I've seen other users had the same problem in the past and the solution was restoring it from the customization page, but I can't find it there neither.

Because numerous things did not work with version 116, I downloaded previous version of the browser and installed it. When it started it said something like "you are trying to use the previous version so some things may not work, would you like to create a new profile?" and there was a choice "yes" or "exit". So I chose "yes" - because how creating a new profile could mean something bad? But it did - it deleted all my bookmarks and settings. I have used mozilla for years, everything was in it. How to restore the bookmarks and everything back? It, by the way, upgraded itself to 116 anyway.

On Firefox 116.0.1, I am unable to make a post on LinkedIn. I have cleared the cache and cookies. I tried a different browser and I can make a post! So I have concluded that it is a Firefox issue. Hope this is addressed soon.

Running Windows 11 on a Dell XPS 8930. Internet download speed is 100Mb/sec. With every update of Firefox it seems to take longer and longer to launch Firefox and load open windows and tabs. Several minutes of the back and forth ball on each tab. I can launch Chrome and its windows and tabs load almost immediately. What can I do to improve Firefox performance, short of abandoning it?

While Firefox is loading long, list-type pages, the scrollbar naturally expands in length. I was used to grabbing the scrollbar thumb, pulling it to the bottom (out of browser focus,) triggering further page-loading, and being able to repeat this by merely jiggling the mouse after each load.

Since the latest release (116.0.?), my mouse loses focus on the thumb on each reload, and I have to re-click on the thumb in order to drag down to force the next reload.

This has radically slowed down some of my regular web activities.

Is it something that can be (re)configured on my end?

When I scan the QR code shown on my computer with my phone and press the sync buttons, I get a message on my phone to; "Open the authentication app and enter the security code it provides."

I have no idea what this app is or where to find it to open it. Is it on my phone or my computer? Why can't you just show the code on my computer sync screen?

And, your help pages just repeat the same instruction verbiage as the sync app on my phone. No additional help at all!
