This question is about a specific Firefox add on. I have not used extensions or add ons previously and am concerned about the safety of the one I want to upload: Claude Conversation Capture.

The page says it will require permission to Download files and read and modify the browser’s download history (which is fine) and Access your data for all websites (which scares the heck out of me.)

How can I safeguard my privacy and data to prevent a breach and maintain proper security if I download this add on?

Can anyone help with this please? The add on would be extremely useful but not at the expense of my security and privacy.

FWIW I am #notageek and very tech challenged, so please explain anything I need to know in ordinary language I can understand (will be greatly appreciated.)

The Video DownloadHelper has stopped working again. It has been removed or blocked possibly by YouTube??? Please advise.

I'm used to using the extension "Пульт". I guess that means "Remote control". After a recent update, this extension has been removed. I received this message: " The Remote control in Firefox has not been tested, so it has been disabled." I want to restore this application and ask for help.

Metamask extension is not properly loading- opening the extension that should lead to the PW/login screen only shows a loading/spinning wheel with the MM-Fox logo. Any idea why this might be happening and any solutions would be immensely appreciated. Using the latest version. have tried toggling ext on/off, and other simple troubleshoot. For context. there is not the same issue on other browsers, even on Firefox on other PC. Could this be related to a PC component? Have experienced frequent tab crashes lately after upgrading my CPU- garbage 14th gen intel that's crashed a few times. what PC settings could be playing a role? BIOS settings default- no overclock or other mod. I have (2) firefox's on my pc- one downloaded from Mozilla, and the other from MSFT app store. MSFT app has no issues and functions fine. Is there a specific URL to get help with download helper? I'm having a hard time locating somewhere that can give me answers to my ongoing problem with download helper and why its not working?

I appreciate the "Translate Selection To" in the right click context menu is in Beta. For me it works but not as well as it might. For example, I am English, my laptop is set to English, I am viewing a website in English but it has some foreign text on it, so I hightlight the text, right click and I am offered to "Translate Selection To ... Slovenian" Why???

I then have to tell it the language of the source/highlighted text and I have to tell it I want the result in English. I can accept it might not recognise the language of the source text but it is very annoying that it assumes I want it converted to Slovenian instead of the systems default language.

To make it worse, having changed the languages to those I want, it doesn't remember them and the next time I use it I'm back to square one.

This would be a really useful feature if only it was logical.
