Firefox offers the option to "Fill login" through the context menu (see attached image) when ever in a login or password field. However I am using Bitwarden instead of the Firefox password manager and disabled saving passwords in Firefox. Is there a way to remove this "Fill login" action as it always just shows that no logins are saved?

I want to do not see this small button on each tab in Firefox. Is it possible without addons? I remember that in the past there was an option in about:config for that purpose but I failed to find it now and do not remember how it is called. I don't need this close-button because I managed to close my tabs using various other ways: by Escape, by double left mouse click to a tab, by double right click on web page (everything using AutoHotkey).

Does Firefox make it hard for OnePassword to work in the browser because they want us to use their manager? The OnePassword add-on is ghosted in the toolbar and can't be clicked or used.

hey community, can anyone help me with the social blade addon? it doesnt work with my firefox. i mean he download it and try to install it but than it comes the error message and i dont know why. i have deactivate my adblock addon and try to change my cookie settings and so on but it dont work. i have ask the social blade support, but he dont can help me, the addon is supposed to work with firefox, i dont understand that. and no, i will get this for firefox and not for google chrome or something. i dont use other browsers. https://addon.socialblade.com/

When I upgraded to Windows 10 I lost the ability to pin tabs in the new tab screen. I used the help function but the pin option DOES NOT appear when selecting the 3 dots as shown in the article found through the help screen. What is the problem?

The text color of the locations in the URL bar is a mix of black and grey ... black for the website and grey for everything else. All I wanna do is change all of the text to black. How can I do this? I just need the code to plug into my userChrome.css file.

I am trying to add my own background to the home page but cannot find any way to do it. There must be an option for something so simple somewhere, but I cannot find it. I do not want to install an add-on for this as I am not comfortable handing out my personal info to some random guy or group to accomplish something so simple. Thanks.

hello, I am a total unexperienced with this whole digital chaos.

Let me start beginning, i changed a few months ago from chrome to edge, at least i tried, only a few minutes said microsoft and everthing would be the same but in this special browser for Windows 10 special. I started at 16.00, only 5 minutes microsoft said, and ended at 00.4 in the morning later. From about 60 passwords i got back 5, from porn sites. Any way there was more damage made then in 5 minutes away from edge. Then you have to call a so called it student company hoe comes at your home now they also use teamviewer. And after the kid has to find out all kinds of trouble so after 3 hours i was back with chrome and 100 euros gone. I have two questions. In windows you can choose your browser, and when i want firefox i se that there are 2 firefox . And they are different, i think one has to go, cause my vpn doesnt works aigaints one and one says you dont use firefox as default brser and one of the 2 says the opposit. I am sure that one of the two has to go or am i paranoid thanks to the bullshit that 70% of the common people also got after these every time chanching invite the most stupid and useless nonses. Well i am sure that you will have no idea what i mean cause thats another bad change, you talk with machines, nobody can help me with instalating gpwin , pgp., And also, i have so many questions that it would take 1 week to explain by writing. I installed the Honey add-on. It's an app that will find coupon codes when you purchase online. I realized after a while that none of the codes it had were working, so basically, it's useless. I went to the add-on tab, clicked "remove" and thought that would be the last of it, however there was a small popup window for the app that wouldn't go away. Checking the help section of Firefox, I proceeded to manually uninstall the app by its code. Shut down Firefox, delete the code started up Firefox and now I have a blank pop-up window. The app is gone, I think, but I still have this popup that I can't close. If I right click on the Firefox logo in the dock, I see the open Firefox tab and a tab labeled about:blank Mozilla Firefox. I'm using a Mac with Catalina. Any suggestions?

I've downloaded he Mozilla Containers add-on, however it's missing from the top right. It is enabled and I've tried reinstalling it, but nothing works. I will say that when I go to 'options' I see, "An extension, Firefox Multi-Account Containers, requires Container Tabs."

Edit: I did try pressing cntrl+. to use the shortcut, but that didn't work either.

Adobe Flash no longer works for all my flash sites. All I get is a black box. From the sounds, the games are running normal, but all I see is a black box. Stupid Microsoft Edge runs them OK. I tried uninstalling with adobe's uninstall, uninstalling it with the control panel, re-installing flash, Clearing caches and cookies. This started about 1-2 weeks ago. I think it was after either a Firefox or Flash update, I don't remember which. I am current with Windows 10, Firefox, and Flash. Have tried to find a way to go back to an older Flash install, but Adobe makes it difficult to do so. Also can't change settings, as the settings menus might be working, but I can't see them in the black rectangle to do it.

Any ideas, other than the usual reload Firefox and / or profiles that they almost always suggest ? I don't want to spend a month in about:config trying to re-do all my settings ! Especially as it may not help !

I can't watch Amazon Prime videos using Firefox 76.0 - 32 bit on Linux Mint 19.3 - 32bit. I do appreciate that this became a long standing battle, judging by the archived material but has the towel now been thrown in? Root cause seems to be that the Widevine plugin has been withdrawn from Firefox and that being so, there must be a good reason.

When the question was archived with a tick was placed on the best answer. That the Widevine plugin can no longer be added from within Firefox, suggests to me that it is now game over. Am I being too pessimistic?

I don't want work-arounds that never seem to last long in this area, ideally I am looking for a permanent fix on the lines that Google will co-operate and promise not to move the goal-posts without supplying the information needed to Mozilla in order to update Firefox first, so that the Widevine plugin can be made available once again and all be covered under Linux updates.

An outright refusal in the above assessment, if correct, would at least demonstrate that the matter was political and that the solution to it is necessarily political too. Something that could likely gain traction in Europe at least.

Hello, I use a smartcard (US Govt CAC) to authenticate to websites. Often I have to check the status of the PKCS#11 module in the Security Devices Dialog under Security & Privacy Tab. Is there a hot key or customizable feature to allow me to directly bring that dialog up directly?

I've just updated FF to version 77 and now I get an animation that occurs on a tab whenever a page is fully loaded in. See the attached image for what I mean.

How do I turn this off? Thanks.

A longer description is that KaiOS (mobile operating system going into use in places like india and africa) is building off of firefoxOS, and developing for this requires the WebIDE features that were in firefox until v59 (documentation here: https://developer.kaiostech.com/getting-started/env-setup/os-env-setup). Installing the adbhelper addon (https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/labs/fxos-simulator/adb-helper/linux64/) in firefox v59 doesn't work because of an issue with an expired signing key. The workaround was apparently to install an addon (as described here for Firefox versions 57 – 60: https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2019/05/04/update-regarding-add-ons-in-firefox/comment-page-5/), but it appears that this addon is no longer available. The KaiOS people might know of a workaround when I get in touch with them, but their documentation says to use this almost identical fix (similarly not available): https://addons.mozilla.org/pt-BR/firefox/addon/disabled-add-on-fix-52-56/

Why does my search button icon in all programs on Firefox show the letters "fl" instead of a magnifying glass. The magnifying glass shows on all other browsers, including Chrome and Edge.
