I made a small CSS customization to my tabs in FF 115 ESR on Windows 7, so they would be flat on the bottom and rounded on the top, looking a bit more like tabs instead of buttons.

Looked ok in FF 115 ESR.

However, in FF 125, half the tabs are now cut off, including their text (see attached images).

Also the tabs background is darker in FF 115 ESR, providing more contrast between the tabs and the tab bar. In FF 125, it's almost all white and I can hardly distinguish between the tabs and the tab bar.

Why is there such a big difference in appearance between FF 115 ESR on Windows 7, and FF 125 on Windows 10?

I inserted backslashes at the beginning of the first 2 lines of code above to preserve the hashtag sign (otherwise it displays an index number before those lines), please ignore the backslashes.

I would like my customizations in Firefox 125 to look like the ones I made in 115 ESR.

Is it possible?

When visiting the "support.mozilla.org site, third-party translantion add-ons(such as "Immersive Translate") can't work. It says "can not read or change data on this site". I want to translate it on the same page rather than skipping into a new page. However, it can work on the "www.mozilla.org" site. When visiting on Chrome, there is not a problem. Is that site just privileged on Firefox ?

When i click on a tab, if I am not perfectly steady at the time of the click, Firefox opens the tab in a new windows. It happens several times a day, it's quite annoying. Searching for solutions in the support page, I've found that there was an add-on to disable this function, but now it's not available anymore. Is there a solution in 2024?

I just installed Firefox v125.0.1 on my new desktop and I am constantly being harassed by Firefox suggesting "tips" to me that I don't want nor did I ask for.

Such as this example below, see screenshot. I am browsing the web and needed to open a new tab, and immediately Firefox thinks it is okay to harass me with something that I OBVIOUSLY already know...... searching google from the address bar.

So now I have to stop what I am doing to click the "Okay, Got It" button to proceed. But, that won't stop Firefox from harassing me with the EXACT same tip in a few minutes from now.....

This isn't the only "tip" it harasses me with. It's just the only one I have managed to get a screenshot of for now.

How do I permanently disable this crap?

I have been using the internet and web browsers for 30ish years now. I'm pretty sure I know how to use an address bar by now Firefox.....

I also don't appreciate being harassed by things at all. Since this does the same "tips" repeatedly and they never stop it is absolutely harassment. Why are you showing me ANY tip more than once?????

Is there any reason why the menu item text in the URL popup menu is so spaced out in FF 115 and 125?

It's the only menu I've found like that.

See attached screenshots. The one on the left is FF 115, and the one on the right is FF 88 (more normal).

Is there a way to fix this?

And also remove that "Add" menu item at the bottom?

Hi. I used to be able to maximize (fullscreen) a Firefox window in either my main display or my connected external display and the unused display would remain available. As of the last update the unused display is being blacked out. How can I revert this so I can use the other display? I have already tried turning hardware acceleration off and back on and it still does not work.

EMBARRASSINGLY I REALIZED WHAT I NEEDED TO DO. THIS IS THEREFORE NO LONGER NEEDED TO BE ANSWERED, SO YOU CAN SIMPLY MARK IT SOLVED IF YOUD LIKE. THANKS!

I chose to reinstall Firefox browser in order to start over fresh and ensure a security refresh. Once installed, I created an entirely new Mozilla account with new info. However, when I go up to the top right of the browser and click on the little icon of the circle with a bust in it (the Account icon), it simply opens the preferences and related settings, it does not allow me to sign in to any account, nor does it show if I am already signed into any account. Is this a malfunction of the iteration I installed, or am I misunderstanding something?

Hi, i have problem with uninstalling uBlock Origin i cant remove them from extension tab. I tried refreshing firefox, reinstalling, opening firefox with troubleshoot mode and still nothing i dont know why is so difficult.Even when i reinstalling firefox this addon onstalling by itself even when im not logged in.Please help me. PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY - Thru Firefox, I use Tineye to find related photos - I use it all the time, it's been great - I always use a VPN and have never had problems until now (as of yesterday). Now it won't search, a verify you're human window comes up, and I have to keep clicking squares, which I do - but then it says to allow cookies and start over. Well I don't want to allow cookies (Firefox-Mozilla kinda encourages using their tools to block cookies, which I much prefer), and I CANT FIND WHERE TO ALLOW (not yelling its just that I said this before and it wasn't noticed) cookies even if I did (I went to Firefox preferences all I could find was under privacy & security cross-site cookies but that did nothing) and I don't want to disable my VPN. Maybe I should mention that I just added or started a Mozilla account, as I have had immense trouble with my aol emails, and am trying to move everything over to a gmail account. My sign in to Firefox was the aol email, and I had to try (I thought I did it) add another account, which I think I did successfully. So it was right after that, that all this started. Help please! Thank you! I did get the following reply, saying to allow cookies (BUT I DON"T KNOW HOW OR WHERE TO DO IT) and something about a new browser profile and to stay out of my sync account, and I APOLOGIZE, but I have no clue what all that means. What is a broweser profile, what is a sync account and how do I stay out of it? I guess well I know i'm not too smart about this kinda stuff, so I apologize but I think I need detailed step by step what to do to fix this. I know thats a lot of typing, sorry.

Firefox has started making a piercing high-pitched screech when the "save image" and "file update" panels appear. This is a confirmation or alert sound I suppose. It occurs when saving an image from a right-click menu and when downloading a file. Formerly Firefox used the system default sound for this, and that sound is still working in other programs for similar operations.

How can I fix this? Or alternatively how can I disable the sound during such operations in Firefox (or alternatively system-wide)?

I have Firefox set to "view PDF files in Firefox", but this is not happening with sites like Capital One and Consumer's Energy. these sites are just saving directly to my downloads folder even though I 1) Want to view the file first and 2) if it is going to save a flle, it is set up to ask where the file should be saved.

Neither of these things are happening even though I have them set up correctly in Settings.

When scrolling down I choose to read an article in a new window. When I open the new window, on the right side, a pop up window appears titled “Join the Conversation” or “More from Daily Express” blocking some of the article’s words. How can I stop this pop up window from appearing? Thanks.

According to Firefox help pages, pinning an extension to the toolbar should work as follows:

"Click the extensions button (jigsaw puzzle Fx109ExtensionsButton icon) in the toolbar to open the extensions panel. Each extension in the panel has a menu button with a gear Fx91GearIcon icon. You can use this menu button to manage those extensions."

The extensions button doesn't seem to work like that for me. When I click the Extensions button I get several buttons (Recommendations, Extensions etc) on the left side of the page as in the first image attached (Firefox1).

If I then click the Extensions button I get to the Manage Extensions page, and if I then click the 3 dots (...) button on (say) Proton Pass I don't get a Pin to Toolbar option and clicking the Manage option opens the Proton Pass Details page (see image Firefox2) - none of the buttons on the any of the pages offers a Pin to Toolbar option.

Those extensions that are pinned to the toolbar, such as Adblock Plus ( see Firefox2 image), got pinned during installation and not by using the extensions button. Currently I seem to have no way of interacting with any extension via the extensions button.

Could be I'm doing something silly but any suggestions would be appreciated.

I run Firefox on a Dell laptop running Windows 10 Pro. I had to rebuild my system because of problems I couldn't solve. I've reinstalled Firefox and copied a profile I had saved in the cloud. When I click the extensions button ("puzzle piece") I do not see the extension list, only the add-ons page. do I have to uninstall and reinstall each extension to get it into the panel so I can pin some of them to the toolbar?

Dear Firefox team. I have to work with many pdf file. When it preview on Firefox it's toolbar too much small and print, download buttons also small. I want to increase toolbar size. I try with about:config but I failed. Please give solution. Thanks in advance

Before the recent 1-2 updates, pdfs,pictures and .torrent meta files used to get saved in temp folder which I LOVED very much. Recently these are getting save in my download folder instead of saving in the temp folder.

I changed this setting to allows ask. Still the files are getting saved in the download folder after opening.

Please assist me to resolve this issue. Thanks.

I use the numerical keypad frequently and need to use "/" often, but that key shares the shortcut for "quick find" which I then have to exit and click back into whatever text box I was typing in before I can continue. The alternative is to continually move my hand back and forth to the other "/" shared with "?". Both are annoying and unnecessarily take extra time.

I would very much like to disable the keyboard shortcut attached to the "/" key on the numerical keypad.
