When I try to go to my Firefox home page, I get The words Yahoo Logo, some Chinese characters and: As of November 1st, 2021 Yahoo’s suite of services will no longer be accessible from mainland China. I'm still using windows professional 7, it works for the most part. Unfortunately often the browser won't load or it will load and runs very slowly, then it shows a box saying close previous firefox. When it is running slowly I often have to hit the browser many times until the box shows up saying close previous firefox. Is this something to do with windows 7 or another completely different issue.

Why is the print on my website (angeleducators.com) so tiny in Firefox? It looks much better on Chrome and Safari.

I recently uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it directly from the microsoft store as it was very slow (probably due to not being updated) and I am sad to see all my bookmarks and important information is gone. Is there any way I can restore it? Thank you in advance.

Long time user (love it) but the browser is consuming a lot of memory. With the same windows open in Chrome, Firefox is consuming 5 times the amount making the system slower glitchy.

This has been an issue for awhile and I checked all the posted solutions. Either the software is consuming an that is normal or something is running in the background. Firefox is at 1831.5 MB as I type this.

Can I uninstall then reinstall? or is everything going to return?

I really appreciate the container tab option for my browsing, as it affords me more privacy and I am a stickler about my privacy. However- I have been having an issue with links that I am attempting to open in a specific container that will load, and then immediately reload into the tab without a container. This has happened several times. The most recent example is that I clicked on a link from FB, a site I tend to avoid, and specified that I want it opened in a FB tab, as I don't trust them not to track me beyond that. However, the link loaded in the FB tab and immediately again with no container whatsoever. There was no request, no warning that I had set up the "multi-account container" and did I want to use it in the designated container... nothing. This has happened with links before as well.

I'm watching a YouTube video and taking notes simultaneously. It used to work fine, but today, possibly after update 119.0(64-bit), it's not functioning properly. I couldn't resume my video with <space> after switching back from my note using <ALT>+<TAB>.

Any solution for this? Or should I consider downgrading my FF?

Hello, in my "Themes" section in the add-ons manager, I can view all the themes I have downloaded, and there are default ones I did not choose to install/download, and I would really like to disable these recommendations; for these, it only gives me the option "manage" whereas the ones I downloaded I also have the option choose to remove or report. They are not relevant to me, and they take up space and are a distraction from those I am interested in. Is there a way to disable these "Recommended Themes" section???

I accidentally deleted my firefox and didnt backup my passwords that were on it., I no longer have the computer that the firefox was on. How can i get all my passwords? I really need them.

When I access bookmarks using the manager/editor I see all bookmarks. However when I try to use bookmarks from the dropdown in the toolbar, I only see some bookmarks. I think it's the newer bookmarks that are missing but not certain.

Since signing on to a Hillsdale College information page, multiple pop ups in the upper right corner from explore.information.com/these -50-popular .... appear. They are identical but keep on appearing after unsubscribing. whenever the screen is opened again, they reappear. Please help.

My Wife's computer - still on Windows 10 - says it can't start Firefox as it is still running, hitting the "close Firefox now" button just returns us to the same screen. I tried to uninstall and reinstall Firefox it tried to do a "reinstall" it says her profile is no longer available, while inconvenient she still should be able to start it up, but it still gives me the same message. that it is still running and needs closed. Trying to "close it doesn't do anything. I have restarted several times and even did a shut down and restart. Nothing seems to work. I assume some "stub" of Firefox is out there in the system/cache making Firefox think it is is still active but I can't find it to shut it down. Where do I need to go to "end task" on this phantom Firefox?

Other information: 1. We have Norton Security software installed, if that matters. 2. The same seems to happening to Thunderbird, but maybe I need to go to another help forum for that? 3. I am entering this issue from my computer that seems to be just fine with Firefox, so can't send browser data as it is irrelevant to the issue (it's on a different computer and install instance.

I just want to express my frustration.

Today during removal of Firefox (due to bug in Windows "winget" upgrader I got two versions of FF - 122.0 and 122.0.1 so wanted to remove one) I accidentally clicked "Refresh Firefox instead" without knowing what's going to happen in a few seconds.

Soon I was presented with a nice and clean Firefox window with no open tabs, no history and no addons.

I quickly went to my profile folder (%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles) only to discover that no full backup was made prior to "refreshing". There were some files preserved - places.sqlite, cookies.sqlite, but no addons, and no sessionstore.jsonlz4. From what I can see, some of the carefully tweaked settings in about:config are also lost.

Fortunately I made my own backup on 10th of October 2023, so I recovered most addons and some of the open tabs. I'm now in the process of restoring other tabs from history. But I like to have them open for weeks or even months, so it's going to take me a lot of time.

The Refresh Firefox thing should be removed because it only destroys data. OR MAKE THE DAMN FULL BACKUP OF THE ENTIRE ***UNTOUCHED*** USER PROFILE ***BEFORE*** REFRESHING IT!!!!!!!!!

You never cease to disappoint, Firefox. Now I'll waste a lot of time to restore what I had before clicking that damn button. And I need to set up a regular profile backup because I cannot trust the software I tried to trust the most... No wonder you're losing users. That is totally unacceptable.

Any clues on how to restore my profile to the state before the "refresh" disaster?

This began some time ago. My laptop Windows 10 only has 2 saved articles. My I-Phone has all saved articles. What happened? I used to be able to see the complete collection on both.

I've been encountering a persistent error with Firefox, and I'm hoping someone here might have a solution. Whenever I try to open Firefox, I keep getting an error message that says "Secure Connection Failed" for certain websites. It's really frustrating because it's preventing me from accessing important sites. I've tried clearing my cache and cookies, but the issue persists. I have two PCs, both running the same versions of Firefox for years. A little over a year ago, after an update, a new "Private" icon appeared in my taskbar in addition to the normal Firefox icon on one of my machines, but not the other one. This presented, and functioned as two different, independent browser applications; I could just click on the private browser icon to open the private browser without opening the "regular" Firefox. I don't know where this came from, but I like it... but it never changed on my other PC, and I can't find how to apply it; is there a setting or something I'm missing? Why did it happen automatically on one machine, but not the other?

When I open firefox it opens on the "success" page it should open on my selected page Yahoo.com
