context :

Im using 78.10.0esr on debian 10

symptoms :

randomly while changing tab or opening a new one, all the firefox window content disappear but edges (all even tabs or scroll bars). but firefox do not crash - it doesn't exit but becomes unusable.

first investigations reveal it is always the same kind of errors in terminal :

I keep getting a widevinecdm error when trying to play hulu, netflix or amazon videos on my mac. This just started yesterday and I'm not sure why.

I'm running mozilla firefox version 78.10.0esr (64-bit) on a macbook pro running OS X version 10.9.5

Anyone have any fixes?

I don't know what's the reason but facing this problem (Just One Small Step, please make sure JavaScript is enabled on your browser.).

I don't use any adblocker. I've tried about:config. javascript is enabled there also.

May I know what is causing the problem and how to fix.

I have a problem with some JavaScript code that is run on a hashchange event.

The code updates the web document, and also the document.title. The document.title is modified last.

If not modifying document.title, everything works fine. If updating document.title, the code sometimes fails, but not always. The symptoms are as follows.

• The document.title is updated correctly, according to the A-tag with the hash URL that was clicked.
• The URL field in the browser is not updated to the new value.
• Non of the other document updates are done, even if they are performed on the code lines before changing document.title.

If a move the mouse outside Firefox and click in another window, the browser URL field is updated and the rest of the document is updated.

I then tried the code in google-chrome. There everything works fine.

If I add a console.log() in the hashchange eventhandler, everything works fine. Another work-around is to use window.setTimeout and delay modification of document.title by e.g. 10ms.

Is this a problem in Firefox, or am I not supposed to modify document.title on the hashchange event?

I am using Firefox 88.01 for Fedora 33.

I guess I should not include HTML and JavaScript in this editor?

Upgraded to 88 from 85 and Firefox are won't loading this website: https://huntingtopic.com/ just keeps going with the loading animation. Chromium works fine. Yeah I tried all the stuff on the website about disabling Ivp 6 and prefetching and all that. Please Help me!

I keep having problems with Firefox not loading certain pages despite that Microsoft Edge works fine. I've cleared my cache and cookies, tried disabling my firewall, and also tried Safe/troubleshooting mode and the problem was still there. Facebook Messenger and Google Hangouts are two of the ones that regularly don't work (and sometimes Submittable, Outlook, and Google Docs), but sometimes I can just refresh the page half a dozen times and then it works. I moved and switched internets two weeks ago and it may have started then (or a few days after). I also tried turning off the proxy and disabling Ipv6.

My comp: Windows 10, 64-bit, HP laptop, new in December 2019. Processor: AMD Ryzen 3 3200U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx.

I try all the stuff, nothing helps, no problems like that at Edge browser, but with others browsers - artifacts again. But your browser just worst novadays, crush pages again and again and again and again and Nothing helps. I will not recomend your product to anyone, never again, you was the best, now you are the worst team.

Why is spell check not finding words that exist? It also can't guess the right word despite having all of the correct letters. Why is it working so poorly?

Apparently not a word. I am seeing red squiggles.

But the option I am given are Serializes, and Equalizes.

It's not seeing the word that does exist. Sexualize. It actually doesn't accept that either.

Sexual is the word I am given as a correct option.

I don't know what is wrong. But your spell check isn't doing spelling or grammar. I could forgive one. But it's failing on both tasks.

Like if I type a word incorrectly lets use "constitttuiton" That's wrong.

Yet, Constitutions is my first option, not Constitution. No extra s. A bunch of t's. But why does it assume I mean plural? Not just the regular word?

It's not understanding tense, or context. Idk. I simply know it's broken. Please fix it.

And yes I've done all the "troubleshooting" provided. Aka uninstall and reinstall the dictionary.

I am suffering from slow load times -- especially the first time when the firefox is loaded for that day. Likewise there is a big pause when I go into settings -- saved usernames/passwords. Over the years I built up thousands of these pairings..

How can I easily remove all the old ones - say a year or older?

Please don't say, select the one, click delete, answer to are you sure prompt etc, as these actions take ages to do one at a time.

I go onto Privacy and Security and this is what I see: Logins and Passwords ticked Ask to save logins and passwords for web sites ticked Autofill logins and passwords ticked Suggest and generate strong passwords ticked Show alerts about passwords for breached web sites

Use a Primary Password is unticked Change Primary Password is faded and when I try to click onto it nothing happens

FF 89.0 (64) When I try to open SOME links on SOME web page nothing happens, except maybe the page moves down a bit. No indication FF is doing anything. Some links will open. Running is safe mode is the same.

When I inspect accessibility properties I see this:

Changing the font sanitizer gfx.downloadable_fonts.sanitize_omt to false has no effect. 

I have no problem with any links in Chrome.

I have a website so naturally I need to log into the admin, this stupid Fire Fox browser just logs me out as soon as i log in, then refuse to log me back in. So i keep trying methods like delete and re-istall but same problem. Never happens with any other browser, any ideas will help to fix this.

From last night, when I open Firefox, a blank white screen keeps appearing. Other browsers work fine but whenever I open Firefox this happens. I'm currently running Firefox on safe mode. Any solution other than uninstalling Firefox? The screen is fully white, no close button, nothing. Just plain white.

The new icons which are in version 89 are very low resolution and the download progress thing is missaligned to it's unmoving part. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Firefox 89.0 for MAC is a disaster. Tab toolbar is above the URL bar -- Horrendous. Worse yet, is that tabs and links are loading SO SLOWLY!!! I have deleted history and cache. Have rebooted and reloaded. Still a mess. Can I go back to previous Firefox? How do I do that? Is there a way to fix the slow load. I am just hating this new situation. A total mess.

After v. 89 was released firefox started having this issue, basically when i start firefox it crashes. I have tried several different solutions like fresh installs and refreshes. The one that has worked best so far is deleting the profile file and restarting my computer. It will usually let me use it until i close out of it entirely. My computer is currently running windows 7 if rhat is important.
