'Linked In' technical support are telling me that I am unable to see certain pages on their system most likely because my Firefox Browser (which is fully up to date) is using DNS. They said to remove DNS. Is this wise advice and if so how do I do that and what difference will it make to my day to day use of firefox?

I cannot enter any text when I load firefox. The cursor just sits there blinking. Finally firefox unlocks and I can type. Like this questionaire I'm typing. I have been on this page for almost ten minutes trying to fill out this form. Now I can type something. If I stop, Firefox may lock up again. What is happening?

Switching between tabs used to be instant. Ever since updating to v133, it takes over a second (both through the Ctrl-Tab shortcut and through clicking on another tab in the tab bar), which is really really bothering me.

The tab bar has also started taking over a second to react visually when I hover over it with the mouse, even with thumbnail previews disabled. I have no idea what's causing this. Please help.

I've been on the phone to Apple support and just returned from the local Apple store and genius bar. My Mac Pro laptop was too old and would not support the newer OS. In installing a OS, I lost my bookmarks and the menu bar that gave easy access. I've since purchased a new Apple Air laptop and everything from the old laptop has been migrated over.

However, working with Apple support and the local genius bar Apple store rep., nobody has been able to help me rebuild the links to a menu bar for quick access. Presently I have some bookmarked. I have to go to the book marks to access any particular URL. All the directions on the web have not provided way to do this!

Microsoft recently decided to update Firefox, since when I have found it unusable, particularly where accessing my webmail (on Vox) is concerned. I tried going back to an earlier installation of Firefox and reinstalling that, but still have no luck. Please tell me (although not by email, obviously) how I may access my emails. Telephonic communication is difficult because of weak or often absent signal, but people seem able to reach me on WhatsApp - same number: [edited phone# from public support forum]

When trying to open sites from my email, such as usps.com, I get the following message and it will not allow me to open it even if I put the address in myself:

Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.

We can’t connect to the server at tools.usps.com.

If you entered the right address, you can:

   Try again later
   Check your network connection
   Check that Firefox has permission to access the web (you might be connected but behind a firewall)

PLEASE help me find this problem. Until the last update, I didn't have this problem. What do I need to do? Thank you

The Picture in Picture feature does not work with Hulu. The picture pops out but it remains stuck into the Hulu tab. It does not float around. So it does not operate like intended. The black box is the pop out. when viewing it does have the picture. You just have to view it on the tab Hulu is opened on. Any ideas? m

For quite some time (months), the Alarm.com web page has not worked properly. I get the message "Oops...Something went wrong.

Don't worry your system is fine; it's just an internet thing."

Refresh does NOT solve the problem. Today I resorted to using Edge, and all worked well. It's clearly a Firefox problem. Can you tell me what's going on? Is there a fix? I'm disappointed that Firefox can't deal with a web page.

Recently I have been unable to sign in on several different sites, but have had no problem on others. This is a new computer with Windows 11, and I set it up about a week ago. When I tried to purchase a You Tube TV subscription, the purchase locked up. I tired it with Chrome and no problem. When I tried to log into my credit card account with Chase, I got an error message suggesting I try later or use another browser. Again Chrome worked. Then I tried to log into Aflac and got a message saying the site wasn't redirecting properly. Again Chrome worked. Also Firefox worked for Aflac on an older computer.

I don't want to use Chrome. Can anyone help? Andy

With the last couple of updates to Firefox (now running v133) on Windows 10 I noticed that there is a new search bar that overwrites the tabs on top of the Firefox window when I click into the URL bar, which is set up to be used for search. This began to happen recently but I'd like to know how to configure Firefox to do search like it used to, in the URL bar not a new search bar, and disable this new search bar that disorients me when it pops up and disappears.

Been using Firefox since the 90s and been on Mac since 2000s. This problem has been happening for about a year, throughout three macbooks (my old one, a temp one, and my new one) and multiple Firefox updates. I'm always updated and always clear cookies daily.

The failure to move bookmarks I can overcome by rebooting Firefox with a Forced Quit. If I only have to do this every few weeks, then no biggy reinserting all my passwords for all the different sites I use (and no, I don't want to use password managers, I don't trust them)

Today it happened within hours of Force Quitting Firefox, this is too much!!!

The only reason I didn't report this problem earlier is I simply expected an eventual newer version of Firefox to fix this bug.
