On most pages, I can highlight text xxx, right-click, and select "Search Google for xxx", and I will get a Google search on the term xxx. From the nytimes.com site, however, I often get taken not to google.com but to google.com/firefox, with an empty search box. This happens maybe 90% of the time, almost always when I've left the NYT home page and I'm reading an individual story. I have no idea why (no idea why google.com/firefox even exists, actually), but it's aggravating that this simple and very useful feature is not working reliably. If I select search engine YYY in the toolbar, "Search YYY for xxx" works just fine. It's only Firefox that does this, only on the NYTimes site, and only with Google as the search engine.

Until the last few days opening this site has been fine. However now it just closes firefox down automatically. Works in IE but i don't use IE that often due to it slowing my pc down.

I use gmail for my email. Some of the emails I receive do not show the graphic or photo. I can see the graphic/photo in Internet Explorer and when I hit reply in Firefox. This started happening about 5 months ago. I used to be able to see the emails with no problem... I have checked all options and do have display images turned on. This happens with every email from a yahoo group and some other emails as well. I have the latest version of Firefox. I tried uninstallng and reinstalling firefox... no change.

I changed from a View Sonics monitor to a Samsung 20." I've tried changing resolutions to no avail. When I click on Tools>Options>Advanced, I'm supposed to get a full window. The bottom half of mine is cut off and I cannot set FF to be my default browser. Anyone know what to do? Many thanks and may the Fox keep wrapping his tail around the globe.

I've tried resetting: general.useragent.extra.firefox;Firefox/3.6.3 but "reset" is grayed out. PLEASE HELP. I have updated FF again, hoping it would fix the problem but the more updated FF is, the more websites 'warn' me of being outdated and/or unsupported browser!! Thanks so much for any help!

Thumbnails in Facebook turn into a black screen when I click on them. Sometimes they briefly display enlarged before turning black. It doesn't happen when I use Internet Explorer so I think it must be Firefox.

When I clicked on Accuweather (like I always do) everything was okay, when I returned to the same web page (I had not logged out) it had shrunk to a size with unreadable print. It was balanced in the middle with wide white margins on each side. Will not return to original size.

Prefs in user.js for the Mozilla Rich Text Editing stopped working. it worked then stopped. had to do system restore. replaced user.js file, doesn't work

What does it mean when I log into Facebook and a pop-up comes out saying "[JavaScript Application] Error: jQuery("#fb_menu_account a", document).attr("href") is undefined"? I would like to know what I can do to fix this. The site ends-up running slow. I have tried clearing the cookies and cache, but that doesn't work.

In firefox tools I found Accelator which when enabled it can copy whatever I hilight; I cannot find where to remove this as it appears not to be an addon unless it is part of another addon. Please let identify this and how to remove it. Thank you

I have to re-install my windows 7 operating system. Firefox works fine. All I need is a procedure to back up Firefox configuration and bookmarks to ease the configuration process when I re-install Firefox later. Thanks

my printer just stopped working.it says it is not connected to the internet.it was before.

I have a friend with an old computer on dial up. He only has Win 98, first edition, but wants firefox. I'd like to burn it on a CD for him, along with some extensions, but first I have to find the download. Would somebody please give me a pointer?
