More of a comment. Firefox is the only browser I have used. Love it! Many important bookmarks to easily navigate. Broser update messed up bookmarks and took me hours to get back! Found. Save key and/or password! Learned a lot about profiles and Firefox along the way. Ugh!

I need a way to recover open tabs, history and bookmarks when firefox crashed. I type placessql and session in firefox profiles folder and nothing comes up. Firefox won't open at all and I asume if I reinstall it I'll lose all previous sessions. What files I need to copy before reinstalling?

I opened FF this afternoon and it op0end like a new first time install- asking about setting up some damn profiles and showing news, AI, weather and crap I do not want or use..

I can not seem to restore it. All bookmarks, PW, menu bars and links are now gone.

Does anyone know how to restore a previous profile? I had a situation like this: I had Firefox 140. I decided to upgrade to 147. Then I upgraded to 145 and all my data disappeared. The system is Linux Ubuntu.

this is the second time when i turn on my laptop and open firefox but the tab section gets glitched with spaces between multiple tabs and when i restart the browser, everything is gone

Hello, I just purchased a new desktop computer. I have passwords and bookmarks that I would like to move over to the new computer. Can this be done or do I have to manually move each item. It would be so much easier to recapture all. Thanks for you help.

I have been using old-style profiles for a long time, but they didn't work so well for me. The new profiles system was great - specifically that each one was a FF instance that could be opened and quit independently of any others (and most importantly had a different icon). I setup 5 or 6.

But i quit all my FFs due to memory issues. Then after restarting a FF, it was an instance from the old profiles system and there was no profiles item in main menu (under three horiz lines top-right).

Going to about:profiles didn't show them (as expected).

I started from command-line to launch FF with Profile Manager and after selecting a profile that way, then there now a Profiles menu item. However it empty.

I had a look and there is a ` ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profile Groups` that contains a number of sqlite files and each has a -shm and -wal file also. I looked in the profiles table for each of these. 1 lists all the new profiles I created and one points to default old-style Profile instance that opens (ie. Profiles/Main-Firefox-Window).

about:config - browser.profiles.enabled is true

I also noticed a browser.profiles.forceEnableRefresh but it appears to be undocumented.

My question: HOW can I restore my new profiles? I put some work into icons etc.. and of course their history, so i don't want to have to recreate them.

I have no idea what happened, but i was changing settings on my PC and suddenly i was logged out and all my browser data, bookmarks, passwords etc were gone. I dont know if i clicked the wrong button or what but everything is gone. I still have my data on my phone, and can access my passwords and such but I dont know how to get the browser data from my phone onto my PC

Please, I have many important passwords and bookmarks that I need to be able to recover.

Firefox updated automatically. No bookmarks or history??? I cannot find anything. This is my old Windows 10 computer. Have bookmarks on Windows 11 computer. Afraid of updates. any help?

• Old laptop can no longer access the internet; corrupt Windows 10. Bought a new HP laptop. Have Sync turned on on both laptops but am not getting any favorites, passwords that I desperately need. What are my options given the old laptop can't connect.

Hi. I accidentally deleted the "Today" subfolder that exists under the "History" section in Mozilla. How can I get it back? I'm not interested in getting the internet history from today back, just the folder. Thank you for your help.
