Using FF 115.12.0esr from openSuse 15.5. Get responses from various web sites that the browser needs an update, that it is no longer supported, etc. Some sites block me out. Another site just now reported the version of my FF is 102--so no wonder it has problems. How can I change the version number that web sites see to reflect the actual update level? Firefox has long been my browser of choice on all platforms. I am switching from Windows to Linux and have recently found problems playing some videos on the Linux version of Foxfire. I don’t know if it’s a matter of having the right codec or something else. The videos play with Chromium on Linux and with Firefox on my Android smartphone. Hi! From some time now i have problem with GUI elements overlapping each other. It started with the window control buttons (that part, where you can close the window). Esthetics aside, it was not that big deal, so I just ignored it, but some time ago similar overlap appeared on address bar - so now I don't see what I'm writing. This is a big deal, now I can't really tell if I made a typo, I'm not able to correct it or I can't see if what I'm writing is mixed with original url, stuff like that.

I'm on Manjaro Linux and Firefox version is 127.0 (64 bits) I've tried to reinstall Firefox with different sources, like Flatpak for example, but the issues persists. Has anyone an idea how to fix this?

I'm talking about how when you go to fill out a text input, it'll suggest that input next time you go to a similar field. Well, that system just saved my social security number as an input after I filled out a government form. I would like to turn this feature off now, and delete the history of it if I can. Is there a way I can do that?

Hello, After update to firefox 127 for linux I get popup messages every time I visit a site. A typical message is e.g. for google.com:

www.google.com 1

The pdf gets overwritten by the new text when it is scrolled down or up and the whole pdf becomes messy. I have attached an image showing the same. The terminal gets into the background of the pdf and any other application that is opened on the screen.

The system continues to tell me that my original email address is the primary address. That address has been hacked and I need to remove it and replace it. I am then told I need to add a secondary address before I can change. I go into the area where this is done and when I press add it says that the new address is already there. How do I get rid of the hacked address and replace it with the new one (which Mozilla does actually recognize!)?

Please advise how to disable automatic updates on Firefox running on Linux Kubuntu. Solutions posted on mozilla.org do not work because stated disable options are not available(see screenshot). I have set app.auto.update to false in about:config but this does not disable updates. I have been repeatedly advised not to disable updates so I am aware of the so called risk. I am very tired of every update breaking a reliable browser and having to repair/fix/workaround each and every time. Please provide a viable solution.

I have a Firefox account in order to use the sync capabilities. After a sync between desktop and phone the desktop bookmarks are on my phone in an extra folder "desktop bookmarks" and vice versa the phone bookmarks are in folder "Mobile bookmarks" in my desktop Firefox. Is this normal behaviour? I would expect them in one common folder to have a seamless synching.

Problem loading images on Home Depot website. It happens when you want detailed images of a product. This is not just one linux distribution. Its many of them. In the case of Ubuntu same problem with Snap version. Whether .deb or Snap doesn't matter.

I've got a test machine with 10 ssd's in it. I switched over to Ubuntu 24.04 that I installed/configured several months ago. Before updating I checked Firefox. It was version 125. No problems with Home Depot. Updated system. Firefox updated to 128.0. Home Depot wouldn't load images anymore. Did all the usual stuff like disabling a couple of extensions. There are only two. Adblock Plus and Weather. Other than that no changes to Firefox that would be a problem.

I've got Google Chrome installed on these machines too. Home Depot no problem. Images of product load and display fine.

I don't order much on Home Depot so using Google Chrome is not a problem for me. But it is annoying and I know I'm not the only one. Seen it posted in a few forums with no resolution. Also, I have not had any problems with Amazon or Lowes website.They are similar in that they display detailed images of each product. I'm not implying that Home Depot is the only one. Just that its the only one I have discovered. If I recall correctly 127.x may have been where it started. The general images of many products don't seem to be a problem.

Prior to ~1 week ago, my process of using Firefox was as follows:

• Open a new tab, search for something, click through a few links

If I couldn't find anything relevant in the first page of results, I'd navigate back to the Firefox Home Page and try another search. I hate going past the first page of results!

However, as of ~1 week ago, I can no longer navigate to the Firefox Home Page - why is this?

Hello, recently I've been having issues where if misclick anywhere on the title bar (even in the small space between bookmarks) firefox will minimize/restore when I didn't want it too. How do I disable this in about:config?
