I have had Firefox for years, and now it is seriously messing up. Firstly, when i open it up as usual, it opens for a second, then vanishes. Secondly, my settings are set for Firefox to restore my previous pages, but it does not anymore. Thirdly, my task manager is showing that there are 12 Firefox windows already open, ( which you can see by the attachment). Can anyone help in this matter please? Please note also that i am a basic computer user, so any help offered would have to be as basic as possible. Thank you.

Hello,
Running firefox on desktop Mac (Mac OS 10.14.6... don't laugh). Firefox works great on all sites except any google site.
Whether its google search, or attempting to log in to a Google account, it instantly and consistently crashes firefox.
I've tried: - Restarting in debug mode - Updated to latest version of FF - Deleting completely and re-installing FF - Restarting computer - Clearing all cookies and site data & Cached web content
Google sites work fine in Chrome on same computer.
Crash log is saying "Crash Reason EXC_BAD_ACCESS / KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS". Not a clue what to do with this error? Searched around, but didn't have any luck.

Browser extensions at times---particularly when I have multiple tabs open, will NOT REMAIN TOGGLED OFF. (i.e. DISABLED) I slide the toggle to OFF, and in roughly 10 seconds it toggles itself back on. So, Short of closing the multiple tabs I have open and or clearing my caches and shutting down my browser and restarting it, is there a way to DISABLE extension(s) that WILL NOT remain DISABLED by making some change in the "INSPECT" menu or in the "about:config" menu? This is REALLY ANNOYING!
This has been happening for about two / three years. I'm just now inquiring for help with this issue. I'd be surprised there isn't some way to disable browser extensions that WILL NOT remain disabled, using advanced methods, i.e., something a intermediate PC user that can tweak / change.

A while ago some people here helped me get my "custom config" fore firefox running. On windows verything is working fine now, however as im getting into linux now, i want to customize Firefox there.
On windows basically what i had to do was searching for firefox.exe in the explorer then drag and drop my own custom firefox.cfg into that directory. Next step was to drag and drop the autoconfig.js into the prefs directory.
autoconfig.js C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\defaults\pref firefox.cfg C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
After that i could simply start firefox with my own custom settings.
Now on Linux i am really struggling finding out what exactly i must do in order to use my own firefox cfg. To be honest, i was trying to find out what the equivalent to an exe from windows is in linux so that i could then navigate to the main firefox directory where the "exe" is located and do same as on windows, drag and drop my custom cfg there.
Im using a debian distribution of Linux (Kali) guessing firefox is installed here? /usr/lib/firefox-esr/firefox-esr
Anyways im lost, any help is welcome.
What directory or say what filetype instead of exe am i looking for? Do i drag and drop the firefox.cfg next to the main executable same as on windows or are the steps different from windows? And what about the autoconfig.js, where does it go? does it go anywhere?
Why can I not just drag and drop from recent activity to bookmarks stupid bloody browser

Hi I am on Linux using Firefox-esr 91.5.0 and suddenly it started to show me that message on settings page. I have no Antivirus or anything. Were the problem comes from? On help/about page there's nothing mentioning the update restriction, neither when I click on the message. But it shows me a couple of different settings. Another thing that I've found so far is the setting "Always check if Firefox is your default browser" is unchecked AND disabled. I'm so worried about the issue, appreciate your help.

I am using Firefox 98 in Linux Mint 20 64bit. I notice that "Your browser is being managed by your organization." appeared in settings. I dont know when exactly appears but it is after one of the last updates. Is there a way to fix? I can see topics related to Windows and Avast, but this is in Linux.

Hi all, i have a Firefox 98.0.1 on Linux Mint 20.3 Cinnamon. It's been running perfect but since yesterday when i try to visit accounts.google.com to log in to Gmail or visit youtube.com the tab always crashes. The tab crashes as soon as the site is loading so i'm not even entering anything. I have Windows 10 running on the same machine, problem does not occur there. I also have Chromium on Linux, problem does not occur.
I have tried clearing cache, disabling all plugins, disabling hardware acceleration, creating new profile, refreshing Firefox, running Firefox in troubleshooting mode, completely removing Firefox including hidden files.
I yesterday had a problem with the file system or something. A black screen showed some error message, i quickly googled it, typed in something like sdfk or sfdk and it repaired something broken on the hard disk i guess...
All crash reports have the signature "_dl_relocate_object"
Can anyone help? I've submitted a crash report with the ID 1bb292d9-61e5-4af1-942d-b5bee0220318 Thanks
edit: I also ran a RAM test with memtest86, it ended with not a single error. After trying to revert to a previous system snapshot i ended up with a black screen and code lines telling me to install a kernel first and some spooky grub mode. In the end i re-installed the whole OS, now it works.

When I click on a PDF attachment in my Gmail account it opens in a pop up window and I can read it fine. If I click download it downloads the file but if I click print it also downloads the file. Can I get Firefox to just print from there or must it be downloaded first?
If I click the downloaded file it starts Acrobat Reader and then I can print it but that seems a little long winded.
Thanks...
When will I be able to install the Micro Trend Toolbar on Version 96 or do I need to stop using Firefox?
