i have changed windows and i put the same old account on firefox but still not recover my old browser data or passwords , etc i loss everything , please help to recover all my data

Im trying to sync my android to existing account on PC. Phone says my firefox login incorrect yet when I go to firefox settings , it shows my name and password that I used to try to log in with phone. I then tried the scan option, but when I phone up to pc screen to QR code, it just sits there. SO I think ill just change my password. I go to password change section and it sends me the code via email. I input the code and brings me to change password screen yet when i try to change it, it states the prepopulated old password is incorrect. I am logged into PC with this info so how is it incorrect?

I used to be synced across two laptops and my iphone but no longer. I am signed in to my Firefox account on my Windows 10 laptop and on my iphone. The windows 10 laptop indicates that I am also signed in on my Windows 11 laptop, but when I run Firefox on my Windows 11 laptop, it indicates that I am signed out. When I attempt to sign in (on the Windows 11 machine), I get an "unexpected error" flag and I cannot sign in.

How can I fix this?

I am signed into firefox on the same account on 2 computers, the new bookmarks on one device aren;t showing up on the other. This is a new problem, syncing always solved it before

Somehow NordVPN caused my Firefox bookmarks on my macbook to be deleted (Nord has caused more problems than I've had in years). Many of the bookmarks are still on FF on my ipad. I've setup sync on both devices (at least I think so), but when I hit the sync button on my mac, the ipad's bookmarks don't appear on my macbook. On my ipad mozilla account 'everything I'm using and signed into' shows the macbook was active 7 minutes ago, and the 'sign out' box is available, so I must be signed in. Firefox on my iphone is the same. Any suggestions. It's getting to the point where it would be easier to setup new bookmarks.

My internet connection is with Comcast, whom has told their customers that they will no longer be allowing email addresses with their company’s name. To this end I have been trying to move my old email accounts over from them, and I'm facing a lot of problems. However, since I was able to change the email in the Mozilla account today, I may be able to do it now. Also, please update my computer info to windows 11. Educated guesses below are correct.

Firefox on Windows is syncing with Firefox on iOS (iPhone) satisfactorily HOWEVER the Windows version seems to be randomly disconnecting from sync. This is inconvenient (my passwords and other info disappears!) and it forces me to disconnect my iPhone Firefox from sync before reconnecting it as I connect my Windows Firefox to sync. It did not do that in the past. How do I prevent that random and frequent disconnect from happening. I have 2FA enabled. Suggestions? Or is this a known recent problem?

When I'm trying to login to Sync my Firefox account, I'm getting a cors error after putting in my email address and clicking the sign in button. This is on a new profile with no extensions installed on 150.0

I have been trying to clear out my bookmarks fro several days now and every single time they are restored. I have tried unsyncing my phone and computer and saving backups to try to force restore it to the cleaned up version but it always restores every single bookmark even to the original folder after I moved them around.

I am logged into the same Firefox account on both my phone and desktop.

Sync is enabled and bookmarks are ticked.

My desktop bookmarks do not show up in my phones bookmarks, and nothing I bookmark on my phone shows up in my desktop bookmarks.

I remember there used to be a mobile bookmarks folder where these were stored, but that has disappeared from both my phone and desktop bookmark manager.

I have a lot of open tabs on my phone which I need to bookmark and organise, so I can't reinstall to test if that fixes it without losing them all.

I can see my phones open tabs on desktop through synced open tabs, so I'm definitely connected to the right account and clearly some stuff is syncing, just not bookmarks.

Why doesn´t the new checklist widget (that apperas on a new tab) sync between my different computers?? As it is now, it is totaly useless. If i create a checklist on my homecomputer (logged in with my firefox account) it does not show up on my work computer (also logged in with my firefix account). Eveveything else is syncing fine, but not the widgets...

I tried to sync my desktop and mobile today. Nothing loaded to my mobile a fact I am now gratefull for because my desktop did sync with the cloud ERASING an entire year of deleating broken bookmarks. What I want to know is how to deleate the cloud so this never happens again!

I've had this happen several times before, but this time it really annoyed me.

I sent tabs from one Firefox instance to another on another device. I closed these tabs on the source device. These tabs were quite old this time, I'd not opened them in a while - this becomes important later.

On the destination device, let's call it "madbilly's destination Firefox", these tabs didn't arrive. After doing a couple of tests where I sent a tab from my mobile to this instance, I realised that this was a similar problem to what I'd had before, which is one where a Firefox instance/profile for some reasons "resets" itself and it seems to create a new instance in Firefox Sync. Tabs which have previously been sent to "madbilly's destination Firefox" don't arrive, because (I think) it's not registered in Firefox Sync as the same instance. These sent tabs, if closed on the source instance (which I did) are lost, unless one reopens the source instance and Ctrl-Shift+T reopens closed tabs. Unfortunately, in this case because the tabs were old and I hadn't opened them for a while there was no way to do this, because Firefox doesn't remember closed tabs which are not stored in memory (another bug, any fix?), except for looking in old session store backups which I'm going to do after I write this post, though I don't know if that will work.

Also, on Android, because it only remembers 10 closed tabs it's not really feasible to retrieve lost sent tabs this way either, and as there's no access to the session store backups the tabs are definitely lost.

Oddly, when this happens "madbilly's destination Firefox" usually appears twice in the send-tab-to menu, but in this case it didn't. To be able to send to this instance I had to sign out of Firefox sync on this instance and sign in again. Then the same instance appeared twice in the sync menu, the old one being now unreachable.

I'd like to know: 1. Why does this happen? 2. How to avoid it happening? 3. Is there a bug registered about this? 4. When will it be fixed and prevented from happening again.

I generally find that this happens when a Firefox instance isn't shut down properly, which on my old desktop I put down to it running out of resources, but on this shiny new laptop from work that doesn't make sense.

it can be useful if u create a system of syncing which actually works, why my passwords dont sync when i log in and also i had to put my exact same passwords 6 times before the stupid system recognized it was correct, the fuck is happening i had changed devices before and this never happened i dont know why now but im very upset
