I don't see it in about:keyboard but maybe there's something else somewhere.

If not, what's the quickest and easiest way to switch profiles?

im loged in to firefox and i want to change from 1 of my profiles to another one of my 3 profile but it wont let me choose on of the other profile it show them to me but cant pick one ?i have work to do and i cant get anythiing done because of this ?

at shell:startup on windows i will open firefox two times (first for multimedia like tv-stream and maston, second for "working activities" like webmail, office online).

How can i open by file explorer link (like in shell:startup) a new tab (newspaper) everytime in instance "first" even if i was using second at last?

How do I change a profile folder's name without causing any problems? I'm on a Mac.

I know I can change a profile's name for internal Firefox use (by going to about:profiles in the URL address section of the browser), but the cryptic folder names remain the same. I've read that you should never change a profile folder's name directly (inside ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/), so is there another way?

I run both the standard version of Firefox and the developer edition on the same computer, so it would be nice to immediately see which profile folder belongs to which Firefox version by their names.

How can I locate other (older) Profiles in the Mozilla Firefox structure and use this to run an older version of Firefox ie: 132 or other Version that I consider to be more stable.

(I have already seen where it is not recommended to go to an older version, once a profile has been used on an updated version. At this time - I feel any damage has ALREADY been done & cannot make things much worse.)

I'm a Chinese firefox user, so the following descriptions are translated and may not be so accurate. And the attached image is also Chinese, if necessary please use a translation app or somewhat to see it. I have only one default profile in my Firefox account, and I have stored a large number of passwords and bookmarks in this default profile. For certain reasons, I signed out of this profile while retaining the local data such as passwords—meaning that, apart from not being logged in, my browser state remains exactly the same as before. Now I wish to sign back in to enable synchronization. I can see a "Sync and Save Data" button prompting me to log in. After clicking this button, I am asked to enter my username and password, but then I receive a message stating that I have reached the account limit for this profile, and that this profile was previously synced to another account. This is absurd, as I do not have another account, nor have I ever synced this profile to any so-called other account. As a result, I am unable to sign in on this current profile.

I recently installed firefox on my Windows 10 laptop, but i cant pin it to the taskbar via right click (this bug wont go away no matter what i do) and also cant open the start menu (also wont go away). I also tried to pin it directly via the exe, but for some reason, it opens another version of firefox, almost as if it was in another acount was logged in (i only have 1 account in firefox).

I have a bunch of profiles set up via "about:profiles". Some of these are associated with different Mozilla accounts, some are not. Today, I wanted to rearrange those profiles to put some older profiles that I do not use as often lower on the page than more recent profiles. I thought I remembered there being an overview text file that included a number for each profile, the folder that profile's information was stored in, etc. When I went looking for that file, I could not find it, so I went looking for help articles and discovered that there is a new profile management tool.

When I tried using the new profile manager via "about:profilemanager", none of my current profiles are visible, so I cannot use that tool to reorder my profiles.

I would be grateful if you could point me to an article explaining how to reorder the profiles in "about:profiles". If that is not possible, I would appreciate a help article explaining the rationale for making these two uses of the word "profile" distinct, the ways in which these profiles are different from each other, and how to transfer settings from the older version to the newer version. I have everything set up just the way I like it within my current profiles and really do not want to have to recreate them from scratch...

I did not ask for and do not want profiles at all. It seems this was added when firefox updated? How do I get back to the old version with no profiles. It also lost all my bookmarks etc. Help would be appreciated.

I have started using the Multiple Profiles feature in Firefox.

If I have two instances of Firefox running and I open the Bookmark Manager in both instances there is no obvious indicator as to which Firefox instance a Bookmark Manager belongs.

I have currently created a folder within the Bookmarks Menu folder that has been given the same name as the profile. Is there a better way?

I have my personal account on firefox and it syncs everything but I want to be able to do the same for my business account. when I sign out of my personal and try to sign in to my business it says I can't. I try to re-set my password and it says I have to use the "primary" account email. It does not accept my business account.

How do I get firefox account for my business email?

opened firefox saturday and screen was totally different than what i had. guess it updated, but not returned to my profile. have tried to open my profile and succeeded, but can't get it to come on automatically when i open firefox again. how do i open the profile i want and then keep it opened?

What did I do wrong? how to correct, so that I stop receiving the error message?

I have previously made additional profiles on 'about:profiles', now Firefox has added an integrated profile manager accessible by clicking my profile on the top right. My old profiles are not available on this profile manager, but they are still available on 'about:profiles', so how can I transfer them without having to remake new ones?
