Newly installed FF browser. Tried transferring bookmarks from Chrome to FF using "import bookmarks" menu. Appended .csv file without error but still bookmarks cannot be seen. Tried method two. Using Chrome bookmark manager, downloaded .html file. Used FF again to append without error but the same no bookmarks seen.

Is it really impossible to automatically transfer bookmarks from Chrome to FF?

how do you disable or unreaveal when the mouse hovers over the task bar (search bar) at the top while in full screen mode (f-11) to me this annoying when the mouse enters that section of the screen. chrome does not do this. Is there a way to toggle off a switch in a setting? if not, can one be added.

This morning this was at the top of my screen when I logged into my computer. "For quick access, place your bookmarks here on the bookmarks toolbar. Manage bookmarks..."

I did click on it however nothing happened or so I thought. I later go to the upper right hamburger and click on it and go to the bookmark tab only to find all my bookmarks are gone.

Can anyone tell me how to get them back since that is my quick access to my business sites? Is there a way to find them or are they just gone?

I cannot get the tab to stay out so I can take a screen shot. Sorry.

I have recently downloaded Firefox on Windows 11. When I first installed it, it worked fine, but it crashed and I couldn't open it again. When I try to open Firefox, a "Troubleshoot Mode" window flashes for less than a second and closes. About 8 months ago, on a different computer with Windows 10, had the exact same problem. I thought it was just because it's ancient, but it does the same thing on my well-functioning computer. I have tried the Microsoft Store Firefox and downloading from the website. I have reinstalled and restarted several times, and my computer is up to date. I do not use any 3rd-party security software. I still cannot launch a Firefox window at all. I love Firefox on mobile and I really want to use it on PC. Thanks for your help!!

Having issues with the browser often appearing distorted, text and images failing to load, videos showing up blank etc.

Problem disappears when in troubleshooting mode but after several refreshes the problem returns almost immediately, making using Firefox incredibly frustrating.

Links keep opening in new windows, and not within new or same tab. Shift key is not stuck and all toggles in the Tabs Opening/Interaction Settings field have been turned off

Firefox is my default browser. The problems have arisen from around December 27th 2025. Till then everything worked smoothly. The first problem is that if I go to google.com then search for say , “Wordle”. The search output is displayed on the screen but when I click on the search result, it does not go anywhere- nothing happens.

The second issues, is till the problem cropped up, I had set google.com as the custom url for home page and windows through settings, home, and had used an extension, “ New tab override” available from Firefox, to set every new tab to open as google.com The url for the webpage works but the new tab override does not. I have tried removing the extension but problem 1 persists.

The third issue is that I have subscriptions to newspapers and had set up the logins. These newspapers are in my bookmarks. When I click on the bookmark the main page opens but the login area is missing. It tells me to get a subscription. e.g., among others, NY times, Uniqlo gb, the Turnitin of my university will not load although I am logged in to the university. I have cleaned all cookies, removed all extension including Ad blockers to fix the problem, tried resetting all to default setting but nothing works. Would appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you.

When I turn off my computer at night I have my bookmarks. But, when I turn it back on in the morningm on the top left I know longer have the option to click on bookmarks because that word isn't showing, anymore. Can I have a phone number at Mozilla to call to get this resolved?

When Firefox opens its first tab, when I enter a site a new (second) tab is opened. From that second tab, sites open in a new tab, or the same tab. But the very first tab remains empty and just takes up space.

What I'd like to see is the first site open in the first tab and then subsequent tabs open in new tabs. I don't have a home page set and don't need it. Is there someplace in settings that can I change this behavior?

A few days ago I got a popup notice of a Firefox update. I clicked to download the update and away it went. However, since that update was installed, Firefox crashes several times a day. I click on the 'Tell Mozilla' button and restart my session, but then it happens again. Am I the only one who is seeing this?

I've tried saving in an active private window, but no success. Testing in Firefox private window local programing errors. Clean-slate avoid past incorrect memory errors.

New Window slider (see screen shot ) in settings unchecks when Firefox is closed and opened. I have completed a fully uninstalled FF and completed a clean installation to check that was not the issue. It was not. It has been a few weeks now so not sure which upgrade fried it.

I use several devices with Firefox installed and I find that sync is not always "sync"-ing, or at least not very often. I can confirm I am logged-in the browsers. I do tend to leave my laptops in sleep mode and maybe sync is triggered only at browser closing? Whatever the case, I end up having bookmarks that I deleted from another machine still persisting on another for some reason or adding a bookmark on one laptop and not having it on another even hour later. Would you please take into account the option to sync at certain intervals like minutes, hours etc and let the user pick how often they want this?
