My local newspaper has gone only digital, which I actually like. But, there is an option on the bottom of the reader that is available when using Edge and is not available when I use Firefox. A mouseOver on Edge displays "Print or clip". Yes, it's a snipping tool and/or print option. But it really right-sizes the snipped area perfectly for printing crossword puzzles. The Windows snipping tool (Windows 11) makes it too small so I need to go to Edge for only this one task. My first preference would be to get the function on the Firefox screen, and my second choice would be to figure out how to use the Windows snipping tool to print without leaving Firefox. My Canon printer disconnected from my computer after Firefox offered me CutePDF writer printing which I did not take.

The drop down menu for printers under settings no longer shows my Canon, only this Cute one.

Not Cute...Need to be able to print.

Connection to Zoom on this same desktop is not working right. The meeting flashes on and off. Ideas?

When I try to print puzzles daily from USA Today through Firefox, the crossword and/or the sudoku show up in the print box as 2 pages, when they are only 1, unnecessarily printing a blank page. If I print through Chrome instead, it only shows and prints 1 page. In order to print only one page in Firefox, I have to change the "pages" from all to current. Never used to have this problem.

One annoying feature of Firefox is that during a print process, if the web page contains an iframe and that iframe utilizes a different domain name than the original page, Firefox will not print the data contained in the iframe. As a long time Firefox user, I would suggest that if I can see the data, then Firefox should print that data. Perhaps there might be some sort of security concerns involved, however at least give me an option to override it for certain domains. I do note that MS Edge does support the printing of iframes. The issue can be easily recreated on most eBay pages that list an item for sale. The 'Item description from the seller' data is contained in an iframe and does not print in Firefox.

ftp.epson.com has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site.

About once a week, since 1/4/25, I been receiving different emails demanding payment or the author will divulge to all of my email contacts about the pornography I am supposedly viewing, which I do not. Can you do anything to close these email accounts? All of the messages are from different authors with different email addresses. I keep thinking this will run its course and end but it has not. I recently installed v. 146 for both FireFox and Thunderbird on my laptop which is running Windows 11 Pro (Version 25H2 / Build 26200.7462). Since the upgrade to v. 146 I have been unable to use my older HP printer (Laserjet 2300d) on both products. When I try to print a browser page or e-mail using either the printer icon or the "File/Print" menu selection, the print dialog comes up like normal. However, when I click on the "Print" button, my screen flashes, the dialog box disappears, there is no indication from the printer that a file has been sent and no document is found in the print queue.

My newer HP printer/scanner (Officejet Pro 8130)works fine, as does printing to my older printer from MS Edge. So, the issue is with the Mozilla products. Using "Troubleshooting Information" and clearing the Printer cache has not resolved the issue for either FireFox or Thunderbird. Nothing else like this shows up in the knowledge base.

Do I have to retire my older, but dependable and inexpensive to use, laser printer in order to continue using FireFox/Thunderbird or is there a software solution?

Anyway, Im Trying To Print An Email Message To a PDF File But Instead I Get An Error Message That Says :

Could Not Open The File Access Is Denied!

Is There A Way To Fix This? If So How Do i Fix This?

When printing the same page repeatedly, FF gets increasingly slower and slower each time until it is downright ridiculously slow and takes up to a minute, perhaps more, to get to the print menu. However, if you reload the page, printing is instantaneous (at least for the first or second time). Some history or memory management problems?

One test case would be https://api.razzlepuzzles.com/cryptogram. Keep selecting New Game from the pull-down menu on the right and try printing as PDF (or anything else).

Lately (for several weeks) I have been having trouble printing web pages with bold headings (Not Headers... Headings) in their pages. For example - recipes. The bold text which is usually also a larger font, is either missing completely, or just a series of dots.

It looks just fine in the print preview (I am on a mac, running High Sierra 10.13.6) and the problem exists whether I use the webpage print dialog or my operating system dialog.

I have tried both of my available printers and it happens on both printers, so it isn't a problem with my printers (I thought it might just be my old HP P1505)

I have also tried saving the page as a pdf through my print system dialog - the text problem exists there as well. If I use Safari (I prefer Firefox, but if this is going to continue, then I'll have to go back) everything is fine. (see the attached image - Firefox on the left, Safari on the right)

So there seems to be something in Firefox that has recently stopped allowing these fonts to make their way through from the screen into the print system.

When I print an email to PDF the default folder destination is stuck on this one non existent folder. I can change the destination, but the next time I do this the default has reverted. I save a lot of emails this way & this new development is not only costing me time but is aggravating as can be. Before this situation developed the defalt destination would be the last folder I saved to. That is what I want to get back to. Anyone have a suggestion?
