I have created a music profile and copied some URLS there, but whenver I restarts Firefox, that profile is empty, although the tabs are now in history.That is a nuisance.I expect each Profile to behave as my original, Main profile.IOW all the tabs are remembered.Is this a bug?

I am using XAMPP and have set up virtual hosts, for local development. Since I've updated Firefox to 139.0.1 I have not been able to access my local website using the URL http://mysite.dev. Firefox is forcing me to use the URL https://mysite.dev.

I type http://mysite.dev and press enter and Firefox changes what I typed to https://mysite.dev

I have tried creating a certificate exception for mysite.dev but rather then showing my local website, Firefox ends up showing the default XAMPP dashboard as if I typed localhost as the URL.

Any suggestions ?

For a month now i have noticed an annoying bug related to the fact that when i do a search A, and then i do a search B and open a site related to B, when i press the back button, i don't see search B, but it goes back to search A. Is there a solution?

As a emporarly workaround i open the sites in a new tab in order to not lose the search B...but not so good since It require more taps.

When I run firefox, the following commands lsof |grep -i firefox|grep memfd|wc -l lsof |grep -i firefox|grep memfd|grep DEL|wc -l produce values in the 20 000 or even 100 000 range.

For instance, currently with only 1 tab open - the form on which I type this question - I get $lsof |grep -i firefox|grep memfd|wc -l 19317 $lsof |grep -i firefox|grep memfd|grep DEL|wc -l 16362 And these numbers are still on the low side. In normal use (e.g., 10 tabs open), the numbers reach close to 100 000.

Some example lines of lsof: firefox 3883 135330 StreamT~s xxx DEL REG 0,1 27559 /memfd:mozilla-ipc firefox 3883 135325 Indexed~I xxx 156u REG 0,1 67108864 11945 /memfd:pulseaudio (deleted) firefox 3883 135325 Indexed~I xxx 160r REG 0,1 13192 78 /memfd:mozilla-ipc (deleted) firefox 3883 135427 StreamT~s xxx 132r REG 0,1 170 3110 /memfd:mozilla-ipc (deleted)

Although it may be a problem in lsof, this suggests that firefox performs a lot of memmaps that are later deleted, but are deleted in a way that leaves some left over state. Note that the "DEL" state in column 6 does not always agree with "(deleted)" in the right most column.

I first discovered this issue when my computer started failing with messages like pipewire-pulse[103898]: pw.mem: 0x55ce0273ac50: Failed to create memfd: Too many open files This could be a coincidence of course.

Current firefox version: 137.0 (but also occurs in other versiosn, e.g. 133.0.3) uname -r: 6.12.7-100.fc40.x86_64 OS: fedora 40

Over the last month or two, my PC has frozen, not crashed, just frozen, while I was watching youtube. I have left it for a few hours, but it does not unfreeze. I am forced to hard restart the PC. When I restart Firefox, the first thing it does is update. It only happens when I have a Youtube video running, Youtube can be open in a tab but not running a video with no issue. Is it possible that the update request is locking up my PC? Is it being caused by Youtube? Any suggestions on how to stop it happening short of changing browsers? No error messages. No crash report. Nothing in the reports file to point me in the right direction.

I’m experiencing an issue with the ClickUp web application when using Firefox. Until three days ago, everything was working perfectly, but now the table view by dates (calendar-style layout) is no longer displaying correctly.

The same feature still works fine in other browsers, so it seems to be specific to Firefox. I would really appreciate your help in identifying the problem or suggesting a fix.

I have recently noticed that an application is slowly filling up my disk. Until today I was not sure of which application it was. I closed all my applications, some increasing disk usage others decrease but on closing firefox, a good chunk of space was reclaimed, about 50MB. That might not seem like a a lot but my drive is constantly full, teetering around the 100-200MB free range. So if any app were to leak space it could eventually cause my system to lock up until space is cleared.

Is there any way in firefox to monitor/debug disk writes to figure out which site is leaking disk space. It could also be a firefox bug but I think it is a site.

I recently bought a new MS Surface Lapop and I am getting a delay (10-15 seconds) when playing any video with sound. I don't have this issue with Chrome so isn't a laptop issue.

I have my Windows Task Bar set to collapse when the mouse is not over it. When I first open the Firefox browser, I cannot get my Windows Task Bar to pop up when I hover my mouse over the bottom of the screen.

If I reduce the size of the Firefox window and then expand it back to full size the Task Bar will again operate normally by popping up when I hover the mouse over the bottom of the screen and then collapsing again when I move away.

This didn't start happening until after the last couple of updates.
