About a half dozen favorites were shown on the tool bar but have now been reduced to two with a double arrow following which produces a dropdown menu which is filled with the rest of my bookmarks/favorites. Clicking on any of them produces a side menu. The Home-icon which used to be in the upper left corner now site in the middle of the bar, I don't know what has caused this change but I'd like it to go back the way it was. My default search engine is Yahoo.

hi i was wondering if there is a way to remove this shadow cuz i have the adaptive tab bar extension and i think it will look way more better without this shadow enabled

The 144.0.2 update lost all my bookmarks. i can not find these under the Windows Users/Roaming Data/Mozilla. etc... I tried to install the previous version and it didn't work. Also tried restoring Windows to before the update and that didn't work. Where did my bookmarks go. Annoying. you can tell corporations are getting involved with Firefox.

Hello, I reinstalled Firefox and am unable to recover my bookmarks and other data. Before the re-installation, I manually backed up my data, but when I try to restore from the backup, it does not work. All my bookmarks and previous data are still missing. How can I fix this and recover my information?

some of my icons on the location bar do not appear, or only appear when I have the window maximized. How can I reorder thewse icons so the ones I want to see most often are on the left? this refers specifically to the add-on icons, but I would think all the icons are controlled the same way (that is, if one can control them).

I can log into a random website and it goes right in then turns black and i can't see anything, i shut it down .... bring it back up and it does it again, any ideal what is happening ?

Every time I log in with my Firefox account on a new device, the exceptions I set under Privacy & Security -> Cookies and Site Data -> Clear Cookies and Site Data When Firefox Closes -> Manage Exceptions disappear. This should definitely be included in synchronization. Let's be clear: I don't want my cookies saved so I can log into all my accounts every time. I just want my exceptions to be included in synchronization. Firefox could also develop a tool for this: an add-on to easily add websites to exceptions. I don't want to download an external add-on and install it every time for something this simple. Nobody wants that. I also think all my settings should be included in the synchronization scope.

whenever I do a Firefox update, there sometimes is a new extension included that I personally feel no use or need for..most of the time I can disable them w/programs like Ccleaner (see image), but some are persistent, and return the next time I open Firefox. Firefox always consumed a significant portion of my 8gigs of RAM, and my latest update to 144.02, it is approaching 15%. Any way I can stop this short of reverting back to previous version?

Hi, new Firefox Win 11 user, new laptop, how do I enable main touchscreen gestures, swipe, pinch etc. All other apps, browsers work, so HW / drivers work. Can't find how on user forums, or in settings.

Over about the last week I have had three Windows updates. After the second of these updates I discovered that moving from one website to another or moving from one page on a website to another page would result in nothing more than a continuing horizontal moving blue ball going back and forth in the address area. After some testing this appears to continue without any further Firefox response or internet activity. After checking online there was a suggestion about clearing the cache so I tried that several time clearing everything in the Privacy area of TOOLS. This had zero effect, at least after the windows updates. (NOTE: The most recent third update did not clear the problem.)

I thought you might want to check this for yourselves.

i want to try vertical tabs to be able to see the tabs i have easier, and to be able to delete the ones i dont need anymore. but vertical tabs for some reason are unreadable. as in, the text does not show up unless you click on the tab.

is this a glitch? is there a way to fix this in settings or change the background or text color? (i think im running windows 10, if that factors into things. id love to not upgrade to 11 if i do not have to.)

Spell checking does not work with Outlook Web Mail in Firefox. This issue has been raised by many others but I find that the answers and solutions don't match my user interface and aren't really solutions. This seems to be a widespread problem and I really feel that Mozilla should solve it. Otherwise users like me will likely need to change browsers. - I am using the latest version of Windows 11 and Outlook Web Mail. - My Firefox is up to date (144.0.2) - Spell checking works if I switch to plain text. I clicked on the Google icon and got a screen that said "Gak, that site just crashed" Has been happening periodically with other links. If I restart the computer the problem disappears so I can ask you for help Thanks
