Something changed very recently, probably that new update. There are passwords and all manner of info I can't find....

I am missing MANY bookmarks I had in Firefox. Where did they go?

Can I somehow restore the previous version if necessary to recover them?

Hello. Firstly I have NO troubles accessing the internet via Firefox (my Default browser). My problem is that none of my "saved" websites (including those appearing on the Bookmarks Toolbar) will open on the internet when I click on them. If I type the internet address into the address bar, the site opens as normal. I do not have this problem if I use Chrome. The problem only commenced today following an update by Norton via Norton 360. I have attempted all the suggestions that Norton have supplied other than re-installing Firefox - and none of their suggestions have solved my predicament. Any assistance would be gratefully appreciated to fix this most annoying problem. Thank you, Ron.

I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, made sure my show bookmarks all the time was on, have been Googling and Googling and reaching out for several hours and cannot find out what happened to all our often-visited sites located under our url bar. I have done everything I know to do. I have tried dragging and dropping and it will not allow me to do that. I never had to sign into anything. Firefox just opened up and there everything happened to be. There is a square with an arrow through it that says Import bookmarks where my bookmarks were on the bookmark toolbar. I can close and open the bookmark toolbar, so I know it is there and open, but there is nothing in it. I have restarted and started my computer. This used to be easy. Right-click a site saved in your bookmark and drag it to the bookmark toolbar or there was a choice to move to or pin to bookmark toolbar. It had to be easy because I do not do complicated. Help, please. I don't have that many more years to live and I don't want to spend them frustrated :O Also, when I open Firefox, I see no paddlock or shield in the search bar. I see both now when I'm in the support page, but not upon the opening of Firefox, which I consider my home page for Firefox browser.

Thank you for a wonderful browser. I've been using Firefox for decades. Please, please give us the option for a second favorites bookmark toolbar. It is so need. Other browsers offer this, but right now, Firefox does not. Please, please add this. No add-on is available for this. Please!

I have exhausted most Mozilla/Firefox instructions on the web as to 'How I delete all bookmarks at once'. The word 'Library' does not appear in the drop-down menu.

The 'Manage Bookmarks' you have placed at the top of the page is doing exactly nothing. I can't restore them, they are gone. How do I get my bookmarks back, or restore to the previous version where they are still located. Sick of constant updates that just cause problems-about to go over to Edge.

Firefox has stopped saving history and I am unable to save any bookmarks. This seems to have happened recently for no reason I can understand. I haven't made any changes. I use a VPN but was doing so before this happened. I have checked all the settings and also deleted the places.sqlite file. When I click <bookmark current tab> nothing happens and history shows as empty.

Hello - Over the years I have accumulated a lot of bookmarks over about six devices. Can I delete most of these on one device and then have the others Sync with it without repopulating the list with all the addresses that I've deleted from the first one? Thanks, Ian.

I need a Backup from my Account because all my Passwords and Bookmarks are not there anymore. They was saved in my Account it work't allways well till yesterday !

We have a need to change the name on some bookmarks that we push out via GPO but despite updating the ADMX it is not working. Does this only work for Firefox for Enterprise or does the normal Firefox abide by these settings?

I'll try to make this short. Old laptop crashed and burned, rebuilt new laptop, brought over places.sqlite files and all my bookmarks are there however I can't add to them, delete any of them, and on occasion they disappear and I have to restore the places.sqlite files just to get them back. HELP! This browser is driving me nuts!

BEFORE ANYONE ANSWERS THIS PLEASE STOP AND THINK. I have been using this browser since Netscape. I have been "managing" bookmarks for years and years but I have NEVER found a SOLUTION to managing bookmarks in a SIMPLE, USEFUL way. I have wasted hours and hours on this site looking for answers to the ongoing difficulty that EVERYONE has dealing with the BROWSER WARS imperative that bookmarks can be imported and therefore, perpetually duplicated in an infinite array of browser upgrades and OS installations over the YEARS AND YEARS. For those of us who have managed to ERR on the side of caution and always opt to live with the effects of this rather than risk LOSING the good data nested within, I implore Mozilla to THINK LONG AND HARD on developing a solution to this ONGOING PROBLEM WITH BROWSER BOOKMARKS MANAGEMENT OVERALL. Oh sure, there are hundreds of plugins that ultimately suck up the memory for partial solutions to the PROBLEM that is caused by each new installation of Firefox or other browser in which past bookmarks are imported and ultimately duplicated ad infinitum. I don't need to know all the things that are wrong with Microsoft and how developers or users create the problem, I need a SOLUTION.

Will Mozilla please be the FIRST BROWSER TO SOLVE THE DE-SHITIFICATION OF BOOKMARKS no matter how poorly mismanaged and duplicated they were in past iterations?

The more time I spend on this HELP site looking for answers, the clearer it becomes that this is a problem for DEVELOPERS to solve because none of the USERS can figure out the answers. So, BEFORE you tell me ANYTHING, SHOW ME THE MOZILLA FEATURE THAT SOLVES BOOKMARKS MANAGEMENT THOROUGHLY AND SIMPLY, because, so far, that clearly does not exist.

Every time I try to import either json file or html file firefox crashes. I tried a refresh and same thing. This file is coming from another computer. I have tried synching but that fails too even though I am logged into same account. I get no error on synchs, it just does nothing.

My Bookmark Star now can only edit my bookmarks. I can't use it to actually go to a saved bookmark and click on it. I can't add any images to show what's happening.
