WINDOWS 10 PRO - WHY ARE YOU WAKING ME AT 5AM FOR UPDATE PERMISSION WHEN YOUR APP IS NOT RUNNING OR HAS PERMISSION TO BE RUNNING? DO I HAVE TO UNINSTALL YOUR NOW EVIL [profanity]?

I most recently reported an issue in relevance to account verification using an email string in addition to 2FA App on mobile, my issue only resolved it's self after the system realized I verified the account without the email side of the equation. I'm now struggling to locate my original inquiry readily so as to add remarks and identify particularly what portion of the security mechanism doesn't like the security codes sent via email.

Around August of last year I started getting this issue where I am unable to reach any Google related site like Youtube, Gmail and such. It drove me crazy and at some point I started using other browsers because of this issue. Sometimes my request goes through and sometimes its blocked. I have disabled my anti-virus, stopped all plugins, but all my attempts at fixing this were in vain.

How can I override the Secure Connection Failed issue? I just lost a connection *I am sure* is secure enough to browse safely. I have been using this site for many years. Mozilla is the only browser that does this and it's my favorite browser, but it's getting to the point of uselessness.

Under User Account Control I get the message : Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer (the message comes up on my laptop (not this one). I try to say "yes" but the computer doesn't accept the command. The computer shows that it is connected to the internet but I cannot go into my e-mail. Something in Firefox is being blocked. How can I unblock?

I'm an endpoint engineer and we have roughly 1500 devices using the ESR. it's a mixed bag of OS between win7 and win10. no 8 or 11. currently our devices our on 102.13.0. at this point our Rapid7 insight security scan is showing a vulnerability in 102.13.0. is the correct upgrade path to jump to 115.0.3? i did an about / search to see if mozilla would automatically pull the update from 102.13.0 but it states it's up to date.

Hello, I have a situation I cannot explain. Firefox has created over 47,000 bookmarks to the same location. This happens in multiple folders. One is just google. Another is a website I use for work. I delete them and they keep coming back.

I have sync turned off.

Any other ideas?

There are old website addresses stored somewhere in Firefox for sites that no longer exist, how can I edit / remove those from FireFox. Using FireFox for LinuxMint 116.0.3 64 bit

I try to keep Firefox zoom level on menu bar at 90 but it keeps moving every time i click on a page as started this it was on 90 ow it is on 70 and keeps moving why is it doing this why not stay at 90 where i put it. it moves on every page i click on . if i click the page in the article or what ever and not the grey right side up and down bar it moves why it is maddening stop it

It seems like more often lately that in the past. I just tried to post on the Portableapps website, and had all sorts of problems there.

I had to use Chrome to post. Actually, when I went first opened the page in Chrome, I got an alert that six trackers were found, and did i want to disable them.

Perhaps that relates to Firefox and accounts for some of the bad behavior?

I'm getting tired of this. There must be a happy medium between security and unencumbered usage.

Maybe it's one of my apps, i.e. Canvasblocker. It has a ton of settings options, and I don't have a clue what to do with them. Aside from that and Ublock, I don't see any others that fit that category.

Maybe it's something in my browser settings?

Let me explain how our website is designed first. We have site "A", and inside it we have embedded site "B" via iframe. Site "B" contains various items in local storage based on the operation performed. So, in dev tools, we can see those local storage items under site "B". Now when clicking a link in site "B", it opens the same site ("B") in a new tab which will basically read all its local storage items. But when I open dev tools in this new tab, items of local storage is empty.

I have referred this document https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/total-cookie-protection-and-website-breakage-faq Based on this, I disabled Enhanced Tracking Protection by clicking the toggle in the shield panel next to the address bar. Now, I can read items of local storage in new tab after disabling this setting. But, in earlier versions of Firefox I was able to access local storage for the above scenario. This got broke due to the Total Cookie Protection feature.

My doubt is that, we are not trying to access local storage of different host. We are only trying to access localstorage of Site "B" in a different tab. May I know if there is a way to fix this other than disabling Enhanced tracking protection ? Let us know if any code fix is available as well.

The past couple weeks I've had this issue 2-3 times now where after I start up my computer and launch Firefox, and I find am logged out of every last website I was logged into. However, it is not every time I launch, and seems to only happen the first launch of a Windows session.

I've never had this issue before. The only notable changes that have happened to my computer in the past several weeks are:

1) I now have a second Windows user account on my PC for work (I suspect this to be honest, but not sure why it would be like that)

2) I think Windows 10 did a random feature update against my will a month ago?

3) I installed Escape From Tarkov

I have uBlock Origin, NoScript, Ghostery, and HTTPS Everywhere. Nothing else besides those add-ons.

Aside from that, I went through Firefox log-in/session settings and everything is correct.

I even have cookie exceptions set to "Allow" for all of those sites (both HTTP and HTTPS URLs), so there is zero reason that this should be happening.

Its also worth noting that this is not every time I launch Firefox. It is seemingly random but happens upon my first launch of Firefox that Windows start up. POSSIBLY after I hit "Restart" on Windows instead of "Shutdown", but I haven't been able to test this theory yet.

I thought I'd give the Foxfire a try on my Windows 10 laptop, so I downloaded and created an account, etc. All worked fine until I tried to use my desktop shortcuts to open Chrome, Google Photos and Gmail. Non would open. I then opened Google and found my sync was off. I tried to sign in and could not sign into my Google Account, I then spent several hours with Google support trying to find the problem. At last, it allowed me to sign in and restore all my Google account items. I then uninstalled Firefox as I didn't want to go thru this problem again.

Does anyone know why this occurred and how to avoid it again if I were to want to reinstall Foxfire?
