Can anyone tell me why I keep getting an error message when I click to view my Upcoming Bills & Payments, and also when I click the "Contact Us" link... The error message is: "Sorry! We're unable to find the page you were looking for due to a technical problem." I've tried clearing the cookies but this didn't help. When I do my CBA internet banking using Chrome, I don't have the same problem as with Firefox.
Freezing when trying to download. Might be related to CCleaner?

This problem started just last night. Other browsers work, my internet works, I have used everything on this support website to try to fix the problem and NOTHING has worked. I have even refreshed and completely reinstalled Firefox and that hasn't worked either. What can I do? I can't even take a screenshot, ask for help, or load back into my Firefox account!

Writing this feels a little like having a time bomb open as I'm using the Firefox browser. Of course, I’m not *certain* it’s Firefox causing the crashes, but it seems like it.
Using Firefox > seemingly on click (no specific type of object that I’ve discerned) but once in a while just if I have the browser open in the background > computer freezers > fans whir at max for about a second > computer crashes & automatically restarts
This happened once before. I’m assuming by the version number that it might be due to a new update. Before, I put up with it for a couple days then it went away on its own. This was months ago but fewer than 6 months. My computer is in good condition (no falls or rough treatment, it’s a 2019, the hard drive isn’t anywhere near full, etc) so it really SHOULDN’T be something failing, but the sequence of events is so weird.
Anyone else experiencing this on 95.0.1? Has anyone else experienced this before? Already tried a fresh install. Going to see if I can revert to 94.something to test my theory that it is Firefox… and save me from having to use some other browser. I have a text file of the crash output that gets sent to Apple but I do not see a good way to attach it here.

Recently my digital newspaper freezes after reading the paper for a while. If I use a different browser it does not freeze. I have 2 digital subscriptions and it happens on both subscriptions. The app starts and works fine for a while but then it starts freezing until it stops responding entirely. Eventually I have to restart the app.

If I start in safe mode everything displays properly. If I refresh it doesn't solve the problem. I have deleted the application along with the Firefox profile to get back to fresh and still have a problem. I have tried to disable hardware acceleration... Still a problem. Chrome, Safari all seem to be fine. What am I missing?

Whenever I open Firefox fresh, it hangs on a screen and becomes unresponsive. I’ve tried a fresh install and going through all my program files and getting rid of anything related. I have no extensions or add ons and it still does the same thing in troubleshoot mode.
It did the same thing on windows 10 as well as now that I upgraded to 11

Why does this remove the entire history of a website? It doesn't make sense. I just want to remove what history it has made today. This doesn't make any sense... Not at all and the more I explore Mozilla, the more confusing it is despite I have used the browser for more than 5 years.

Almost every time I visit the typing test website MonkeyType (https://monkeytype.com), and take a typing test, the tab simply freezes and does not update. Soon after this, Firefox stops responding. However, the website works smoothly on Tor browser, which is also based on Firefox. I've tried disabling WebGL, and running the website on a new profile in case corrupt cookies or extensions were the issue, but this still doesn't work. What can I do to solve this issue?

On many occasions (several times a day) Firefox simply goes away without warning... sometimes after several minutes on a page. Sometimes in GMail, sometimes Facebook, sometimes other sites... there does not seem to be a particular pattern.
Is there a hidden log somewhere that I can send to you to help resolve this issue?
Thx!

I do not get it. This browser has everyday now for the longest time gone downhill and it is just getting worse and worse to the point it is unusable. To navigate the internet one can no longer simply use the great firefox to do so. Besides the browswer having issues itself, it seems just about every webpage does not work on firefox at all either. Sync is a joke, history doesn't even work ans saving passwords is useless. But my last issue, enough is enough and I am done. Trying for quite so time figure out why firefox is not loading my school book. It is redirect the URL a million times. Mobile and desktop FF. Use chrome and now only does it work, it is faster. Just stop the project and move on. You guys had your run and obviously someone somewhere lost their values.

I was browsing without any problem when suddenly just firefox on my PC stops being able to load any pages.
I tried clearing the startup cache and it managed to work once but when I checked firefox to install the latest version, the problem returned. Now even the version check is in infinite loading.
Troubleshooting mode is the same, so it is not addon related.
When I close firefox, the process lingers on the task manager for a while until it gives the firefox has crashed window. Even that seems to have a difficulty in sending its error report
Is there any way to deal with this? I do not want to use the refresh firefox option cause its sounds like it will remove my add-ons

...to zero (0) in "about:config". However, I'm guessing this change basically turns off this functionality, which I wouldn't want if the browser actually crashed. However, this doesn't seem to work at all, either on the network "Data" folder or the local "Data" folder, so Firefox has become very annoying to use. :-(
I have two (2) data directories (which, of course, contains my profile) for firefox; one on my local machine and one on the network. I normally use the network data directory and only use the local one if I'm traveling. I haven't used the local "Data" for three (3) months, and it worked fine for two weeks. As a test I activated the local "Data" directory (I renamed "Data" to "Data_network" and "Data_local" to "Data"). I got the same problem so I'm sure this has to do with the latest upgrade to v96.0.
My settings, which have always been set like this, are:
+ I have "Open previous windows and tabs" un-checked. + I have "Choose what you see when you open your homepage, new windows, and new tabs." set to "Custom URLs..." and my "Homepage and new windows" is set to my home page URL.
Any thoughts?

I am unable to access a website with a saved password. I have contacted the IT people at the website and they have advised that there could be a problem with an upgrade of Firefox, that is not compatible. I am not sure what I need to do to fix this problem. I have been accessing this website the same way for over 10 years and now unable to use it.
If I walk away from the computer for more than a few minutes with the ZenDesk web app up on a tab, it will lock up Firefox to the point of having to force quit.

I can use firefox just fine (win10 home, v2004, os build 19041.1415)- I only get the XPCOM error when trying to open the Eset protected browsing window (for banking and protection). This has not happened before when using/updating Firefox and only just happened when I updated Firefox today to 96.0.2.
I've been browsing the XPCOM queries and have tried the basic reinstall (deleting program folders prior to installing) with no luck, but so far but wanted some clarity prior to trying other things-
Some of the answers here point out that security software can block the folder access when Firefox attempts updates/installs. I attempted an install with Eset paused, but no change. On another computer, a similar problem - a firefox error message occurs when trying to run the Eset protected browsing window, so attempted the same "program folder delete>reinstall" method, only now when clicking the Eset window, it just gives the loading symbol then nothing happens. Again- Firefox also works fine on that computer as well save for the same protected window usage. Not the same error, but still similar enough to think it's related.
Is a safe mode firefox install the next step forward? Should firefox be uninstalled prior to doing so? (Not just deleting the program folders via file explorer, but an actual uninstall process). Or is this something that should be breached with Eset tech support (beyond just pausing the internet protection and functionality, should it be uninstalled prior to firefox reinstall and than installed again afterwards)?
Please advise and thank you in advance!

I just remembered that heretofore, Firefox has automatically disabled Add Ons that were amiss. Rather than action DrMoishe Pippik's bifurcation stopgap myself, can't I do nothing — and wait a week or two — if someone more technologically skillful deduces the astray Add On, and Firefox disables it?
