It seems most answers to this question tell you to clear browsing data and the autofill entries. That's not what I want.

Say you have a form that contains previous data, whether manually entered or autofilled. You want to use autofill for the entire form, but by default it doesn't overwrite fields with entries. How do I clear the form and start fresh so autofill can do its job?

Up until the release of 78.0.1, I have been deleting items from the address bar by highlighting the item and then holding the Shift key and tapping Delete. This doesn't work now, much like when it changed from just hitting the Delete key, so what is the process for deleting specific items from the address bar now? The Help pages are no help because they still say to do the Shift+Delete way.

It seems that Firefox on Win10 does not present alternate stylesheets in local files.

I have a trivial HTML file, e.g., c:\alternate_stylesheet.html, with a few of those examples of alternative stylesheets, like:

Viewing such a trivial HTML page in Firefox on Win10, the View > Page Style list is the default - just "No Style" and "Basic Page Style". The list does not include the head link alternate stylesheet options.

Why not?

IE has no trouble with these (menu View > Style presents them as expected), which seems to confirm that the trivial HTML code is correct.

Any advice?

Hey friends, may be you can help me with my problem. I am so new to this thing. So I signed up for firefox send and uploaded a large file ( my daughter;s wedding album) which I needed to transfer to my home computer. I had no clue that I had to copy the link. so after uploading I closed the app. went to my home computer and was looking for the file but I can't find it. Its lost. What do I do ? Anyway to recover this ?

So up until firefox updated... yesterday? day before? not sure my circadian Rhythm is a total mess at the moment. but ever since that most recent update picture in picture doesn't pop up on netflix anymore?

i can still use it on YouTube and Prime Video, the only other sites i use it on really, but not Netflix?

as you can see, the icon appears fine on youtube, but on the netflix screenshot, it does not.

dead annoying since watching a show with picture in picture while grinding in a windowed game is a poor gamer's second screen.

Why I know it can be made visible

How to see what I see

   First visit the current page https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/
   "New Recovered" column is not visible.
   Click "Columns" and select "New Recovered" which is column 7.
   (it is 6 in list because column 1 can't be hidden)
   
   Now, open an archived page.  This is the one which had no hidden columns yesterday.

   Note the "New Recovered" column is not visible.
   To prove the data has been captured:
   Select "Yesterday"
   Press "Ctrl+u" to see the "Page Source"
   Find (Ctrl+f) and find one of the following "New Recovered" values (96,845  10,942) World & USA
   Find "Columns" to see the list of available columns.  ("New Recovered" is column 7)
   Find again and to see that columns 7, 16-18 are set to false preventing being displayed.
   

Since "New Recovered" column on the archived page somehow became visible yesterday. I know it can be done. Thank you, in advance.

I am on windows 10/FF 78.01 and I have a batch file that on closure saves many things to another disk. Recently I added the saving of my Firefox profiles folder. I had read that when exporting/saving this folder one should ensure that Firefox is closed. Is there a tidy way of closing Firefox in my .bat script?

Currently I am using the cmd taskkill /F /IM firefox.exe but I notice that when I reload Firefox it restarts pretty well exactly where it left off rather than starting with my standard set of tabs as defined in my option 'Use current pages'. It's not a big deal but it would nice to know if there is a correct way to close FF that gives the same restart result as when I do a manual hit 'x' /Close n tabs. Thank you

I created html and javascript webpages on my PC many years ago. Firefox is my default browser, however, when I click on a html link on my PC only Internet Explorer opens. How do I get Firefox to open instead of Internet Explorer.

I'm using 78.0.2 (64-bit) Firefox on Mac OS and using a windows keyboard. Since most commands use cmd key and not ctrl key, it's a bit awkward on my current keyboard. Also, my mouse buttons which are programmed to go back don't work in Firefox. They work in chrome. Where do I access keybinding settings and how can I modify them? Thanks.

I use my bookmarks to keep track of fanfiction I want to read on archiveofourown.org. The site features a 'history' section itself. Recently I noticed that stories I've bookmarked say that I've visited them way more than I have. The 'How many times you've visited this page' ranges between 30 and 500 times for each story, when I've only actually clicked on them once myself as I bookmarked them. Is firefox constantly opening/pinging my bookmarks and is that what is being reflected on archiveofourown.org?

This might be a stupid question and I'm shocked that I noticed this only now as a long time Firefox user... If I use the location bar to search for something Firefox opens the Google result page, but disables the "back"-button. So I can't get back to the page I've been visiting before. I've been wondering for a long time why sometimes clicking back doesn't lead me back to a page I know I was visiting earlier, now I finally figured out that this is because I was using the search from location bar. So my question: Is this the normal behavior or a bug in my installation? Is there anything I can do to fix this?

I'm using Firefox Beta on a slow laptop in Linux -so, manually changing videos to 360p from the cog works to make them play smoothly. The facebook SD Only setting in https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=videos doesn't really work -only in a few videos. If anyone knows of an extension that handles this on latest Firefox Beta let me know. Thank you.

If I'm lucky, when I want scroll left or right, the cursor is on a piece of HTML where it can move when I use the left or right arrow keys. However often, the cursor isn't available or the right place.

Is there a key or key combo where I can shift the web page left or right in the FF window? I often find it difficult to use the horizontal scrollbar with the mouse.

I am wondering if there is any way, using Firefox, to select a default search engine that is not:

How can I launch Firefox in full screen mode? I created an executable file for simultaneously launching two browser tabs at once. He works. But I need the browser itself to open in full screen mode. In this form, as if the "deploy" button was pressed. Please tell me what you need to add to the lines of the executable file. Or maybe there is another way. Does anyone know how to stop these video's from popping up when you visit a website. I attached a pic from Rolling stone and the vid is bottom right. Seems to happen on every website and ad blocker, uBlock etc won't stop them.

Hello. How can i run multiple instances of firefox at the same time? I read this article https://support.mozilla.org/bm/questions/1155401 but it looks outdated because this doesnt work for.
