Why can't I use right click menu in Alert Dialog? I select the text in an alert dialog but when I press right click the menu will not show up. I works in Chrome. Why not in Firefox? Any way to have it work?

I am used to search via address bar (My browser: Firefox 87.0 64 bit, Windows 10 Pro, Build 19041.867 ). Since a few month I sometimes receive an annoying Message wich I can not get rid of (image).

I deleted Firefox completely and installed it again. My Virus scan and Spybot Search and destroy did not report any results.

My only Add-on is AdBlocker ultimate.

Plugins: OpenH264 Videocodec and Widevine Content Decryption Module.

Search via Google did not help.

I suppose that something is corrupted.

I finally have no clue how to solve that problem and would be glad if somenone could help me.

I'm all but finished with Firefox now. I have been loyal for years, but since moving to a new computer there have been multiple problems, especially with Lastpass password manager. Life draining.....

After many problems, I did manage to get it to work: IE: By working I mean that I would sign into Lastpass using the icon on the address bar. Then, whenever I opened a tab for a password protected website, it would auto-fill.

So, what has gone wrong now is that whilst I can sign into Lastpass (using the icon on the address bar), and the Lastpass dialogue box appears, instead of the dialogue box 'populating', it remains blank (as per the enclosed pic). Something has blocked it.

I think this started happening after I added 'AdBlock' to the address bar (I have now subsequently removed it).

And why did I have confidence in 'AdBlock'? Because it appeared in the add-ons in the Firefox menu, so I naturally assumed that this was a Firefox recommended add-on.

SO, I suspect that AdBlock has caused this problem, but I don't really know. All I know is Lastpass is not working, whereas it does on Chrome.

Will I ever get the hours back for time wasted writing this? Or the other previous merry hours of ‘fun’ just trying to restore the Lastpass icon onto the address bar. Simple? Not in a million years!....

Over to you. Do you care? Can you sort it? Or is this going to be the straw that broke the camel’s back? "Chrome here I come and bye-bye life draining Firefox; for this relief, much thanks"?

latest version 88.0b6 still gives "can't load xpcom" message why is this still happening after 3 years of the problem in the history of upgrades. Don't tell me to check profile as I can't even start FF. I have done all the deletions as instructed by various experts but still get the message "can't load xpcom". Samuel Santos said download "83" to see if that fixes it I don't know if it did cause I then got "CAN'T FIND ENTRY POINT"

What files do I need to restore from my nightly backup to bring back the multiple tabs I have lost in a shut down? The current restore previous session only has half of what I lost. I tried copying the profiles folder from a back up but it still only had three of the six windows I lost. Suggestions please!

seems like there is a battle for browsers, I say that because I never had a problem with window 7. I open my page with fire fox and it askes me if firefox is my default and click yes and it freezes. Cant do anything at that point but delete it and do it again, and it happens again. How can I fix this in window 10?

Recently, I had to uninstall and reinstall Firefox. When I clicked on the address/search box, I used to see a line like "search with" followed by a list of my alternative search engines; now, when I click on the box, I see the "search with" heading, but no search engine icons. How do I get them back?

It used to be easy to access Thunderbird Help, but now I'm shunted directly to Firefox Help, and Thunderbird Help has disappeared. Whenever I look for Thunderbird, I'm re-routed to Firefox. What am I missing?

When I click on a link to download a file and I select the option to open using Firefox or to open using an application for the drop down, I can see the download progress on the task bar, but the downloaded file list shows "File moved or missing".

So far, the only way for me to look at a linked file is to Save File to a specific location. If I save the file, then the Download list shows size and time info. If I double click, the file opens in Firefox. I can open from the saved location using another application.

Where is Firefox saving the temporary file when I selected one of the options for opening the file directly? Why won't Firefox properly save that location in the Download list? What setting(s) do I need to change so that this function works properly?

Firefox is not displaying fonts properly, and covers some pictures in green. Not all parts of every diplay are involved; I have attached a sample jpg. I have also determined that the same screens display propery if I use Chrome browser, so I do not think it is a hardware problem.

The firefox extensions expect to find the respective javascript files inside their definition folder containing manifest files and related resources Is it possible to access and share the same user library (js file) between all extensions without having to copy it back to all the extension folders when it is modified? My laptop location in Firefox is using my former home location. But when I do the same Weather Google Search or Google Map website in Chrome, the location is my current location in North Carolina. This true whether I'm logged into my Google account or not Signed in to my Google account.

In Firefox I've checked Tools/Options/Privacy & Security/Permissions/Location/Settings. It lists 3 sites that have asked for access to my Locations: google, home depot and BedBathBeyond. Yet when I use Google to search "weather", it gives me Wayne NJ. This section will not let me add Google Maps.

In Security I changed Block Pop-ups to continue to have a checkmark but added google.com and maps.google.com as exceptions and restarted Firefox. Google Maps still shows Wayne NJ and weather sometimes shows North Carolina but mostly shows Wayne NJ

Are there any other settings in Firefox I need to update? Or are there settings in Windows I need to update.? I'm using Windows 10 and Firefox 85.0

Firefox 8.6.0 upgrade disables Firefox browser I utilized "System Restore" through the process of elimination I determined that it is the 8.6.0 upgrade that is causing the problem. So, turned off the automatic upgrade option and installed any Windows 8.1 upgrades and my Firefox is working great. Now I have a "nag" screen that is constantly trying to upgrade Firefox browser might there be some way to disable this upgrade notice?

Hi, can someone explain me that how to add users in mozilla Firefox like chrome, I searched a lot but could not satisfied is there any conditions that must be full fill, adding user mean that User 1: can use internet and their search and download history not share with user 2.

How do I stop this dam browser from assuming on a search I am 200 plus miles from where I am. I search for say a doctor and ask the directions it assumes start location is over 200 miles from where I am and gives directions from there making directions totally worthless!!!! I want to turn off this option where so it just shows a map as to where the destination is and nothing else!!!
