Firefox crashes on startup since version 89. The crash doesn't happen in Troubleshoot Mode.

My name is Julio. I'm from Brazil and i'm using Ububtu 18.04 LTS OS. After an update/upgrade routine firefox have started to crashing at startup. I've tried almost everything avaible on mozilla's support webpage (https://support.mozilla.org/pt-BR/kb/falhas-do-firefox-solucione-previna-e-obtenha-ajuda#w_peca-ajuda-para-solucionar-esta-falha). I've already removed manually the folder .mozilla (~/.mozilla) and tried a clean install using different ways: ubuntu repository, comand line (sudo apt install firefox), synaptic repository, downloading the firefox-89.0.tar.bz2 file on firefox webpage... and nothing have worked for me. I can't access the troubleshoot mode (the app crashes before that). When i ran firefox on comand line the outcome is:

Despite the information avaible on support webpage, i couldn't find a folder ~/.mozilla/firefox/Crash Reports/submitted. I've found just text files: LastCrash and submit.log (and another stuffs).

Hi for a while now, few months Firefox crash like crazy on my PC

Sometimes it would just crash at start, and refused to open Sometimes tab start crashing, and eventually firefox crashes

Common sites where i see the crash happens are cnn.com and nba.com

I usually restart my PC , refresh firefox or reinstall it to get rid of the crashes but this is very tiring , very tiring

I am sure its something on my PC that causing the conflict, because even reinstalling doesnt entirely fix it

But i have no clue what it could be

After update to 89.0 (or even after 88.0) tabs are constantly crashing. OS: Windows 10 pro (19043.1023), last update KB5003214. Firefox completely re-installed 2 times, last time with full refresh. No addons/extensions are in use, only default H264 plugin. Strict tracking protection with always "do not track" is set, but previously no troubles at all for years. Nvidia graphics driver last (462.59 studio) installed with EVGA GTX 1060. Hardware acceleration is disabled. My firefox is crashing even with the troubleshoot mode I updated the latest version, disabled the extensions and removed cache and still crashing

On my new PC with a fresh and fully up to date installation of Windows 10, Firefox tabs keep crashing for no reason.

Ticking all the boxes they give me in the crashed tab and hitting reload/refresh tab is unlikely to actually fix the tab. I have to hit that button at least 5 times to maybe get the tab working again and even then it's basically a coin-toss whether it actually gets fixed or not.

I have 7 firefox.exe.(number).dmp files with no way to upload them here but if there is an way to do that please let me know so I can provide additional data.

Please help me with this ASAP, I'd rather continue to use Firefox on my new machine than go back to Chrome. Thank you.

Ubuntu 21.04 latest firefox 90. Firefox crashes randomly or each by clicking right mouse button in Bookmarks Menu button any folder/url. Also bookmarks are not visible via the Bookmarks Menu button. about:crashes is Empty

I have two problems with Firefox 90.0.2 (64-bit).

1. Sometimes the program stops responding; sometimes it restarts on its own but sometimes I have to close it.

2. Sometimes when I switch from Firefox to another open program Firefox closes on its own.

Two days ago Firefox randomly started crashing on start up. I click on the icon and the window pops up for a moment and then closes immediately. I get no crash reports. I have tried reinstalling Firefox and deleting the cached data. I have tried running Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode and as an administrator. I have tried restarting my computer and updating my computer. I did not have any addons installed on Firefox and I was using the default theme. Nothing is working.

Any help you may have is greatly appreciated.

I am hoping someone from Firefox Development sees this and that something can be done for those of us who need to have several tabs open simultaneously. I often find myself engaged in research that for convenience requires that I have several tabs open which eventually leads to browser slow down, hanging, and sometimes a crash. Im convinced this is the correct analysis since defragging the ssd fixes it every time. I believe it would be very helpful if Firefox were to add a compressor to its file storage routine, first blush thoughts, possibly one compressed file per tab. When I get into heavy research I find myself defragging sometimes several times in a day, which temporarily fixes the problem. Any chance this can be added, or if anyone knows of a fix to this issue? rgds, j

Tab crashes and complete browser crashes have increased recently on my system. I have tried switching off extensions too, but can't get it to stop. Any help will be appreciated.

Instagram crashes on firefox every few days, happens when reading posts or watching stories (no new content is loading during crash). Happens only on firefox, never on other websites. Happen every few days, when I press reload the website after crash, it works temporarily, but it may happen after some days. My network is good enough.

using 91.0 (64bit) firefox, macOS Big Sur 11.5.1, both latest version

tried delete cookies and history, turn off hardware acceleration. I didn't install any extra extensions.

feel angry everytime crash, didn't manage to submit crash report, just do it now, not sure how it could help though

feel sad because i know it would crash again after some days. What can I do?

I have installed Firefox on my android phone now that I have installed Firefox browser on my desktop. Trouble is when I run it (on my phone) it very briefly flashes black & white blocks on screen and then makes my phone reboot. I have a Samsung galaxy S4 with android 9.0 (pie) installed. Is there anything I can do to make it work?

Since yesterday's update on my Windows 7, today I first got error messages on pages I usually visit, my home page and the Google signin page among my Favorites. The browser crashed when I tried to bring up Settings. Subsequently I could not open it again. I just shut down that computer in case repowering it solves the problem later. This is Mac Catalina. Firefox just updated here. I hope on this computer the problem does not surface.

When opening any version after 89, Firefox opens then is unresponsive to any action. I have to force quit. I copied the crash report that is sent to Apple. It is a 500+ page Word document. The only solution is to reinstall v89.0.2 and it works fine. Then not allow automatic updates.

Any suggestion appreciated.

This issue started on August 19, 2021 with a profile I have been using for about 3 years. It persisted so I copied data and the chrome folder to a profile folder I created in October, 2020 but had not used. That was on August 22, 2021. It happened again with the 'new' profile. I quit several times earlier in the day (without clearing history, clearing and managing data) without issue. Sometimes the lock file is NOT deleted when Firefox quits.
