I realize now if I don't immediately allow updates then my ability to start up my computer after shutting down is delayed for ... an hour or more. I don't want to allow updates, as they are becoming more frequent; i can only assume they are in league with the likes of a microsoft update which is, essentially, a fishing device to scan my computer to record my searches and communications so they might sell that information, or, for other more nefarious reasons. i HAVE stopped the ability to update from Windows - internally. Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean "they're" not out to get me, right? Funny, huh? There's one other thing, however. I can't communicate with customers. And when I can't communicate with customers, I LOSE MONEY. ... fix it. I don't mean a patch over a patch over another patch. Maybe a line of code? Anybody there?? That's what I thought.

I have been a loyal Firefox user for umpteen years – but no more! Without asking, my browser updated to version 89, and immediately, I didn’t like it. It looked washed out, difficult to tell the difference between tabs (I routinely have 30+ tabs open at once), plus it was slower. The biggest “peeve” was when I tried to enter a Google search question in the “Search” box, but Firefox kept jumping up the URL bar. Gawd I hate that! That did it! I decided to revert back to version 88 but you decided you would “punish” me for my decision. I lost all my bookmarks, passwords and preferences. I am a computer support volunteer and I work primarily with senior citizens, however I try to help anyone who needs my help. When I setup a new computer for a client, I usually install Firefox and Chrome, explaining that many people do not like the default browser that comes with Windows. From this point on, I will no longer recommend nor install Firefox. You lost a customer today. Congratulations.

I was really angry that there seems to be no way to actually send an email "TO" Mozilla. Instead, they depend on you volunteers to take the heat for them. If you know of anyway to actually get this information to them, I would appreciate it.

With the Firefox 'save page' function, and every time I do it says the download failed. Can someone tell me what the heck is going on?

Firefox constantly says "Download update", but never lets the user know when the update has been downloaded, or change the pop up message to "ready to restart"; it just keeps saying "Download update".

Please add code to let the user know when the update has been downloaded and the browser is ready to restart.

I would like to know when Firefox will be dropping Windows 7 support? I readed on some websites that Google Chrome will be dropped support for Windows 7 in 15 January 2022 year so I would like to know if there are any plans by Mozilla Developers to drop support for Windows 7?

I don't have computers with Windows 7 but my friends asked me about this because they know that I am active community member of Mozilla but I can't answer because I don't know so this is why I asked you today about this.

Firefox in windows will not let me login to my outlook account. Sight comes up, loads username and password but the login button is not active and does nothing. All products are up to date.

I have tried several solutions I found but nothing seems to apply to me.

Hello. I had discovered that Firefox itself creates a so called "fork bomb" by creating a big amount of sub-processes under the main one (with I can prove thru the attached screenshoots).

Could anyone have a idea how to limit Firefox from opening so many sub-processess, with (wanting or not) are mostly causing that my system runs out of memory and stop beeing responsible to any of my inputs, with forces me to restart the system (similar thing is done by an DOS attack)

Newer release of Firefox auto-fill username and password when they should not. I have a web application that has a list of people. Optionally (form is even hidden requiring a click to see) a person can be a user (rare). My username and password are auto filled in ALWAYS now for the person (even when the form is not showing). Can I just change the field names (username, password) in the jsp and have Firefox NOT fill mine in automagically? Or if not, how do I tell the browser that these are normal fields - leave them alone PLEASE (do not auto-fill)?

I have a staging site for my website which is protected (not visible to the public) and requires authentication with the username and password to be accessed.

Firefox is blocking access with the authorisation window coming up empty again and again and again when I enter the credentials.

So - I have to use a different browser just to access this one site.

I have cleared the cookies and cache, removed the site from the browsing history - Firefox is still blocking the access.

how can I unblock it?

I use Windows 64 bits on my PC.

Since a few days, when I visit Google Maps, after completely loading the page (roads and buildings shown for a brief moment) the map becomes wholly black with just captions still readable.

Doing the following didn't fix: Restart Firefox. Update Nvidia Drivers (updated yesterday to 466.11, didn't resolve). Disable every add-on and setting default theme. Disable Hardware Acceleration from settings.

THIS temporarily fixed: Entering Firefox Troubleshoot mode.

So I assume the problem is in advanced settings. There are TONS of settings there. Any ideas? I 'd rather not go through a Firefox Refresh losing all site permissions/fine tuning for cookie settings/blocked content for every site made in years. I'm on Firefox 88, Windows 10 64bit ver. 2004, GeForce 950M, Core i7-4720HQ, 16GB RAM.

I put "again" in the title since another question about this is marked as solved for Firefox 68/69. Needless to say, I tried everything from that discussion (such as switching gfx.webrender.all), to no avail for the present issue.

Every time I press the left CTRL button, a new window opens in firefox (If i'm not clicked on it), or it just makes the tab i'm currently in a new tab if I'm selected on one in ff. I can't copy anything, I cant ctrl+f, can't do anything since it just opens firefox. It started just now, today, and I'm not sure how to fix it--

Hi. I'm experiencing issue when FF pops up new window (I need it this way), it pops up right behind taskbar, which I have on top of the screen (used to it since Amiga), so that I can't reach top of the popup to slide it or minimize etc. and have to stretch it a bit to get it bellow the taskbar. Annoying. I thought it is a Windows issue, but Chrome works well, no hiding popups, just alligning them bellow the taskbar. I don't wanna use Chrome, so please, let me know about workaround. I have turned off auto updates due to the new version of firefox replacing 88.0. I do not need to change the color of the title bar, nor do i need everything i type in the search bar in the center of my screen to be mirrored in a search bar located in the title box. How do i get security updtaes without all the screen changes in 89.0

I've been trying to fix this for a week now, and nothing has worked. Everytime I try to play a 4K video on Youtube, the player stalls. Audio works, but the image just stays frozen and jumps from time to time.

I've tried every fix I could find in the Internet. But now I came here to ask for help because I tried the last thing I was avoiding (Refreshing Firefox) and after risking my custom settings, 4K videos still won't work.

Any ideas?

I have used Firefox to sign into American Airlines website for years. Now when I try and sign in it says the site is unavailable but I am able to sign in on other devices and other servers. I called American Airlines and there is no problem on their end. Why is this happening all of a sudden and only for this one website. Is there anyway I could get around there so I can keep using Firefox to get on American

Bookmark toolbar always worked and I could turn it off or on but always left on. But now Bookmark Toolbar doesn't show and when I click on it in Toolbar options the check mark won't appear but Menu Bar still turns Off and On when I click on it. Restarted computer before this happened because trouble with mouse pad and got notice about Firefox 89 update but closed it because prefer Firefox 88 that has smaller Bookmark and Menu Toolbars
