I have multiple Bookmark folders. I want to export (and then import) just ONE of the folders to another computer.

When I go through the EXPORT BOOKMARKS TO HTML process the html document created contains ALL 18 FOLDERS even though at the time of creating the document, at the bottom of the export menu page in the "NAME" slot it showed just the name of the folder I wanted to export.

As far as I know there is no way to edit the html document to delete the unwanted folders. If there is, please share the information.

I have uninstalled firefox about 4 times and tried everything I was told. I like firefox but not the hundred bookmarks.Will lose a good browser but bookmarks do have to go. this is my last try

When I installed FF on this laptop, I imported successfully my bookmarks, but for some reason for one particular (large) folder, its bookmarks "Description" field was not imported.

I have both the HTML and the json backup bookmarks files. With the HTML file I can copy and paste individual bookmarks and descriptions, but I have probably over 1,000 bookmarks in this folder.

I was having an issue with a website -- went through Firefox process to determine issue. Firefox suggested a refresh. I said yes. Firefox has now deleted all my bookmarks

How to setup and remove favorites on home page. I am going from a Mac to a PC. The online support is of no help since it guilds me to areas of my Foxfire home page that does not show the tasks as discribed.

I recently purchased a new DELL laptop. My bookmarks from the older DELL laptop did not transfer. Instead under OTHER bookmarks I am getting a hodge-podge of GOOGLE CHROME favorites. I still have the older laptop and the bookmarks I am missing are still there, intact. The older laptop cannot support Windows-11. What did I do wrong, and how do I get the the bookmarks over to the new laptop? THANKS MUCH! Best, Pat Reilly

Hi, I had not used bookmarks for some time and when I did...most of my bookmarks are missing and what is there is a mess. What happened and how do I or you fix this?

Through the years (been using FF since its first months) on various computers, various OS and FF versions, I've kept a bunch of bookmarks in my toolbar for frequently used links that I can QUICKLY "right-click, copy link, paste" (3 steps) into social media posts.

Tonight I opened up my bookmark contextual menu, hit copy, pasted it into my Twitter, and it pasted the title instead of the link!!

How useless is that! A title is easy to type out, a long complex url isn't, having a "copy" (title) instead of the "copy link" is entirely useless!

Now to accomplish same, I have go choose "edit" instead of "copy link" and then "click drag" the url then "copy" then "paste" then close the window. 5+ steps instead of 3. Who on Earth thought changing that function was a good idea?! More steps is NEVER a good direction.

Clarification coming from possible answers: Firefox's "Paste" function is working fine, since the url correctly pastes to Mac PAGES and Facebook. It's the paste to Twitter that does "Title" instead of "url". So obviously a Firefox-Twitter problem.

Variation of problem: I tried "Copy" from Firefox Bookmark Subemnu, then went over to Twitter on Chrome, and the "Paste" to Twitter on Chrome also results in a paste of Title instead of url. I tried "Copy" from Chrome Bookmark Submenu, then paste into Twitter on Chrome, and the "Paste" correctly pastes the url. This points to a mis-programming of the Firefox "Copy" function in the bookmark submenu.

I often look up links/webpages on my phone and then transfer them to Firefox to view later. In the past, when I opened a link in firefox, then dragged the link to a specific folder on the Bookmarks toolbar, it would display the header of the link as the "name" of it. Now, when I transfer a link to a folder on the Bookmarks toolbar, it always sets the URL of the link as the "name" of the bookmark. How do I make it so that when I drag a link to the bookmarks toolbar it saves with the header rather than the URL.

If this helps, I'm using MacOS most of the time.

I've attached an image of what it's like now. The header names are before, the urls are after.

Is there a possibility to get more recently used bookmark folders? No there are only 7 folders but I could show much more recently used bookmark folders. When I use Function "Choose" I get a small window where I see only 6 Bookmark folders. Same here, my screen can show much more folders and it would be much easier to choose the right one when I see 15 or 20 folders.

Is there a possibility to get more folders in the view?

My list of sorted bookmarks is extensive with many folders and subcategories etc.

I'm able to open all the tabs in the 'Library' but don't really see a way to print to PDF this list. Is it possible to get a list of bookmarks and all the files in each folder?

PS. Using Windows 10

Hello, I have, as usual, thousands of open tabs in my browser and frequently and routinely save as i go along. In trying to do the same now, i notice what looks like only a "single tab save" page comes up. I can not lose all these tabs - can you please help? The Bookmarks Sidebar freezes at times. When I close it and get it back, it works okay for a while. It happens infrequently but I lose my place and have to navigate back which is inconvenient. Please fix. This is the second time I have tried to report this, the first time the page got refreshed some how so I had to start all over again.

So this started recently and I'm not sure if I did something to toggle this by accident or not, but recently when I've started dragging the web address into my favorites bar to add to my favorites, the favorites bar won't save the page's title, and instead will only save the web address itself. I'm not sure if I'm explaining very well, but I'm including a screen shot of what I mean; if I click on the star and add to favorites, then the web page's title will show up, but not if I just drag the address in. I find this personally frustrating, and I was wondering if I had accidentally toggled something? You can see the difference between the two in the screencaps I've posted.

Firefox 112.0 changed the look of the Icon for bookmarks, in the previous version it just looked like a traditional folder, now it's a goofy looking three box like affair. Is there anyway to change it back to the previous versions look as the new one is very difficult to see.

My bookmarks in Firefox are there, but when I type in the name of the site I have bookmarked, they do not go to that site. Same with the tags for bookmarked sites. The bookmarks are there, but when I type in the address bar, they do not come up.

Hello I use Windows 10 and Firefox for web browsing. My drop down bookmark menu has disappeared and I fear that all my bookmarks are lost. Is the latest upgrade is a redesign? Please can you tell me how to retrieve my bookmarks. Many thanks Helen Humphreys
