I'm really not liking the new look of the tabs in the 89 update to the point where I'm about ready to find a new browser. Is there a way to revert to the previous look?

I will have only 5 tabs open and it will go up to around 1000-1100 MB. I have tried refreshing Firefox a bunch, uninstall and reinstall extensions, clearing the memory in about:memory, and have tried getting help on reddit as well. I love the look and snappiness of Firefox, and want to use it badly, but can't due to this fact. Can someone help me?

I'm trying to develop a simple addon using the Sessions API, so I wanted to play around a bit with the JS in the Browser Toolbox first. I have set devtools.chrome.enabled to true and pressed Ctrl+Shift+J to open the browser console. I'm able to run some JS (example: console.log("Hello world!") works as expected), but when I try to run something like sessions.getRecentlyClosed(), I get the following error message:

I tried browser.sessions.getRecentlyClosed() with the same error message about "browser.sessions" not being defined. Anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it, or how to correctly import the Sessions API if that's what's needed?

I have two laptops and a mobile phone that are connected to Firefox and have sync operating. One the laptops shows a location of Wrexham which is approximately correct. The other shows a location of Boardman, OR, United States, a place some 6000 miles away and of which I have never heard. Googling the location gives me no useful information, other than it is a small town with no special characteristics. A screenshot of part of the Firefox Accounts page illustrates what the situation is.

The laptop stated as in Boardman has a location set within Windows. That is not Wrexhan but is only a few miles from there.

I have used iplocation.net which gives me the location of my ISP, in England.

I sometimes use a VPN (for work) and when being used iplocation.net gives a different English location which I think is the locaton of the ISP for my Employer.

I am unsure what is going on here nor do I know what implications there are for my security. I do not seem to be able to fix this.

Can anyone help, please?

"When a server requests your personal certificate" my preference is set to "Ask you every time" but Firefox is remembering the certificate I used last time for a site and does not allow me to select a different certificate. How can I change this please? My Firefox browser version is 84.0.2 (64 bit). Thanks

Upgraded today [05 June 2021] to Firefox 89.0. Very unhappy with this version.

What is the procedure to revert to either Firefox 88.0.1 or 87.0?

How many are moving to a different browser thanks to Firefox/Waterfox incessant dialog prompting to 'update now'? There used to be an option to turn this off. No longer. Weekly or bi-weekly updates are rarely of any consequence anyway, so why must we endure prompt after prompt after prompt. Not everyone can stop what they're in the midst of to update on command. Speaking of incessant, I suggest Mozilla put more work into stopping incessant crashes. Now that would be an accomplishment. Rarely does an hour pass without my browser crashing. Say what you may about old Internet Explorer; at least it didn't crash all the time.

Google meet hangs in Firefox after few minutes joining a meeting. Have tried to fix it by clearing cookies and cache, but it doesn't help. But the Meet is working fine in others browsers . My Firefox is also updated to recent version.

Hello, I'm a new Firefox user (I finally got fed up with ad-infested Chrome making necessary extensions I need to safely browse the internet not work any longer). When I changed to Firefox as my default browser, however, it replaced my local HTML file icon for my home page (which is on my desktop) to this butt-ugly icon I can't seem to change (I absolutely abhor dark backgrounds on ANYTHING, as they give me blurred vision and migraines thanks to a neurological issue). Unfortunately, Windows 10, in all of it's user unfriendliness, has decided not to give me the option to change icons using the properties window (there's no "Customize" tab). Can anyone tell me how to fix this, please? I do my own custom HTML pages a LOT, and I don't want to have to leave my default browser set to Chrome because their HTML file icon isn't a total (and literal) eyesore.

Hi, I complain about the new graphics, it makes me hard to work, find tabs, I don't like it at all!

I complain that Firefox doesn't advice me before about it, "your interface will be change to that", it simply impose it to users, it believes it's better and doesn't care about the opinion of users. This is really bad politic.

I complain I can't move back insalling version .88, I need to create a new profile an loose everything!! This is absolute unaceptable!! Now I'm here and I can't go back!!

I complain in all Mozilla products disable update doesn't have effect, even if I disable any possible "update" in the config register Firefox and Thuinderbird find the way to get the updates and force update all. This is also really nasty.

Looking now for a skin, a new interface, to get back visualization as in the past. Thank you for suggestions!

Honestly, I came home last night and clicked on the LinkedIn open tab to discover I had to log in. I have never had to do that. I never logged out. My log in and password were not offered or suggested. Then I discovered other tabs that had logged me out. Then I discovered I passwords had disappeared. I do not know what happened. I didn't update anything. I have spent hours trying to fix this. I followed one route to create a new profile and now I have lost the 73 tabs open over 3 windows for my businesses. Damn! I am fuming! And with no phone support this is the end of working with Mozilla. Can someone please help me? I'd like to wind back to yesterday morning!! Profiles, everything! I managed to find my bookmarks, but I have lost time and lost business. Help! Please!

I've noticed that with the latest update, when I use my default search engine (Duckduckgo), that when I start a search term in the search text box for Duckduckgo, the term I'm using gets typed into the URL address bar. How do I stop this behaviour completely?

Fed up Firefox user my friends also agree the last update altered my laptop with windows 10 and tower pc using windows 7 cant read the text the colours are rubish i require both items put back as they used to be, why not use BLACK TEXT instead of the so called pleasing to the eye colour gray its not pleasing to my eyes, it looks like to me the updates are for the iphone brigade the latest update was 03-06-2021 20210527174632 please dont expect me and others to rectify something that we did not put on our pc's
