I wanted to add the german dictionary for spell checking. After finding the right dictionary and adding it, the german language didn't show in the spell checking menu. If further details and screenshots, please let me know.

I want to print a page. But without the header and footer stuff (because it is ugly and I don't want others to see the information). There are a lot of old pages here and on other places about how to do this. They are unfortunately all deprecated. What is the way to do this as of 2023? OS is Windows, btw.

Today I went to tesco.com site OK, but when I tried to login I got an Access denied message: "You don't have permission to access "http://www.tesco.com/account/login/en-GB?" on this server.

I cleared cookies and history and eventually uninstalled and re-installed firefox, but still the massage persists.

MS Edge and Google get me i fine, but I prefer to use Firefox if possible. Can you please suggest a way to prevent the error message.

Since yesterday I can't access multiple websites like Spotify, Reddit, Google Drive etc on my desktop computer anymore. I don't know why and I didn't change anything over night. It also works fine in Microsoft Edge.

Reddit shows the "whoa there, pardner" error, spotify shows 403 error, Google Drive says my browser (Firefox 120.0) isn't supported and others are simply unavailable. At the same time Google looks off and Twitch is just a huge loading screen.

I cleared all the data (cookies/cache), but that didn't help.

I had this reddit error a few weeks ago already, but it disappeared on its own. However it was only reddit that was affected.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Have Google as the default search engine.

2. Type a search string into the address bar.

3. The address bar briefly shows a URL for the Google Search results.

4. The address bar is very quickly overwritten with the original search string.

How do I stop step #4 happening? I want the URL to remain in the address bar, for example to be able to give somebody a link which executes the google search.

I think this is new in FF121.

UPDATE: when I use the troubleshooting method, i.e, WHAT HAPPENS is it appears to be trying to work, but it's on again, off again, with more than one extension appearing to be the problem. Very mystifying. The only time the problem is completely fixed appears to be when I close all the extensions. (So far.)

HELP!!!!

When I open YouTube, the search videos all show an image. Then when I select one, for the last two days now, that ("front page) image is gone - although the video plays OK.

When I us my Chrome browser the video I've selected begins playing the instant I open the video; even when I've opened the link in a new tab.

When I'm using my Firefox browser spell checking is working only with English language. Polish is my native language and I want use this function to Polish as well and set Polish as my default language. I tried to adding/removing other languages than Polish from options, setting higher priority to Polish language, how ever I have no result with that. Please help, will highly appreciate. I'm getting Access denied Reference #18.6b01cb8.1700662622.22a58314 only on tesco.com since last nights firefox update.

All other sites are funtional (at least no others found yet). I have cleared cache and cookies but still getting the issue.

The site is up and accessible by ms edge.

I have run in troubleshooting mode and taken off any extensions, still no change.

Running windows 10 (latest updates)

Malwarebytes is reporting no issues.

Hi, I suddenly have a thick white border around three sides of browser that I can't rid of. I did a search here and found what looked like a solution but there is no "Customize" button in FF any longer, so not sure how to fix this.

It is not running in compatibility mode either.

Over the years I have accumulated important links in my Firefox Bookmarks bar and passwords file and it would be a disaster if for some reason my hard drive got compromised and I could no longer access them. Is there any way to copy the data to another set-up, independent of my laptop, from where the data could be retrieved in a usable form for display on another laptop or PC? Thanks.

Hi, I use this windows shortcut for many apps.

• Windows key + Shift + (number) - Start a new instance of the app pinned to the taskbar in the position indicated by the number, even if one is already open.

There is a shortcut for firefox where holding shift and opening the program will start it in safe mode, and this is true when starting the program from the Taskbar too I've found. Effectively disabling the windows shortcut above.

I want use the win+shift+# combo to quickly open a new window of the browser no matter what program has focus on my desktop.

I found a support post describing how to completely disable safemode [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../1226264]. But I am wondering if there are other options available rather than removing the feature and modifying registry. Thanks

Hello, I recently downloaded Firefox and transferred all my data from Chrome to Firefox. Everything transferred well and for a day all my bookmarks were visible at the top of the page. Then I turned off bookmarks to only show on a new tab, and then later realized that the bookmarks were not being displayed on the new tab. And even when I turned bookmarks to always show on all tabs the bar is there but nothing is displayed. All my bookmarks are still in the Firefox Library and I can save new bookmarks to the library, but the bookmarks bar above still remains empty. Clicking Import and Backup in the Library and clicking Restore hasn't returned the bookmarks to the bookmarks bar. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Yesterday I had Picture-In-Picture (shortened into pip for next mentions) working on youtube, then after one day, PIP no longer works on any of the websites, including youtube. I tried disabling and enabling pip, entering troubleshoot mode, and none of them worked. Not reinstalling because it will be annoying to log in everywhere I've had account at.

Any solution?

The Backstory: As a graphic designer, I save things from the web all the time--stock websites, client downloads, all that jazz. Because I have a ton of clients, I have the "Always Ask You Where to Save Files" option selected, and it usually does a pretty good job of remembering where I want to save stuff.

However, I've encountered a crazy bug in the last month: When I save images--jpegs specifically--from Adobe Stock, it will pop up the "where to save" window, and it will be a certain client's folder. (For clarity, we'll call this Tammy's folder.) I'll navigate to the new location I want to save assets for the current project I'm working on (let's say this is Mike's folder). Then I'll download another jpeg for Mike's folder from Adobe, but it will start me back in Tammy's folder again. This means I have to re-navigate to Mike's folder, every single time I want to save anywhere other than Tammy's folder.

Here's the weird thing: When I save .ai/vector files from Adobe stock, it remembers the last folder I saved an .ai/vector file to. Same for .pngs and other file types. On other stock websites, it will also remember, whether they are jps, zips, svgs--it works fine. It's JUST jpegs (not jpgs) from Adobe Stock.

I've tried clearing cookies, data, resetting the download location, rebooting my computer in between all the changes, and even going into the about:config to try to fix it that way. Short of uninstalling/reinstalling firefox, are there any other solutions I should try?

I use CCleaner>Options>Cookies to save cookies in certain containers. I see that Firefox uses userContextId to specify a container. Where can I find which userContextId NUMBER is assigned to which container NAME?

Trying to make sync work the way I want. Initial question:

I've synced tabs between Windows desktop and Android. Now I would like to bookmark all those tabs in the desktop browser, without opening them first. I've found out how to view them in the side bar, but I see no option to bookmark all tabs.

It would be nice to have synced Tabs in the Library window and Options panel.

I can sign into YouTube ok, and the pictures of the video's are ok, but whatever I try to watch I get a green screen and just the video sound? It started happening yesterday. I am getting fed up with YouTube and the issues it has with Firefox. I'm having to use Microsoft Edge to watch videos. I've done the 3 resets it says on the support page, but still have the issue. I am running Firefox v 120.0 (64bit) on Windows 10 Pro version 22H2 OS build 19045.3570 and today Firefox has stopped playing the video track on youtube videos or any video that is embedded in a page. Audio works but the screen just shows a blank field of green. The progress bar will show frames from the video. IF I run Firefox in trouble shooting mode the videos play as normal with video and audio tracks.

I have already refreshed fire fox and uninstalled and reinstalled it but the video track is still a blank field of green in both full screen and small screen modes.

Anyone have any ideas on what configuration setting may be causing this? Thanks in advance, Brocky

Greetings from North-East of France, since a few weeks ago I'm seeing a (sort of) pop-up window suggesting to login with a Google account (see the screenshot attached). I've done some internet search to find out how to get rid of it, but the only suggestion I get is to modify an option in a Google account. However, I do not have a Google account! How to get rid of this disturbing pop-up? I already use Adblock Plus and uBlock Origin, yet Google passes through them! Thank you in advance for any help you may provide.
