Greetings: My computer was shutdown and restarted by a colleague and I seem to have lost my browsing history and all the open tabs from my last session are not retrievable — restore previous session is not available / appears grey'd out. I am on a macbook pro running Big Sur and I do have a time machine backup of that last session — can I get back those open tabs and browser history from my time machine? Can I do it a la carte or do I need to wipe my whole computer and restore from there? Thanks in advance for your thoughts, Sam

Hi,
I would love for a dialogue box to pop up when I'm trying to download PDFs so that I can rename them. However, I can't get this to work.
I already have selected "Always ask you where to save files" but I'm not seeing any difference in the download pop up (see screenshots below).
I'm updated to 88.0 on Mac.
Please help

I have to access a number of HTTP (not S) servers on a private work network. The URLs all look like http://resource.infra.example.com. Using Firefox 88.0 the protocol URL is automatically changed to https:// and I get an error "Unable to connect. Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at recourse.infra.example.com". This makes sense because these servers are not HTTPS, but Firefox's behavior seems broken.
I *do* get redirected with a fresh profile in Firefox 88.0. I *do* get redirected in safe mode in Firefox 88.0. I *do* get redirected in Firefox 89.0b4. I *do* get redirected in >= 88.0 regardless of whether HTTPS Only is enabled in Preferences (if it's enabled I get the new HTTP warning, and then I get redirected to HTTPS) I *don't* get redirected in Firefox 87.0 (regardless of profile or safe mode) I *don't* get redirected in Safari and Chrome. I *don't* get redirected by curl. Inspecting these sites's headers with curl gives:
$ curl -sI http://resource.infra.example.com HTTP/1.1 200 OK Content-Length: 4198 Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8 Date: Wed, 28 Apr 2021 02:43:01 GMT Etag: W/"1066-CEROUmmTJBPO73vecAgQwYdTSow" Vary: Accept-Encoding X-Content-Type-Options: nosniff X-Dns-Prefetch-Control: off X-Download-Options: noopen X-Frame-Options: SAMEORIGIN X-Xss-Protection: 1; mode=block
It seems like something changed in 88.0, but I don't see anything related to HTTPS in the 88.0 release notes: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/88.0/releasenotes/.
What changed? How can I fix it?

Hello,
The sound suddenly didn't work when I used Firefox for YouTube (I checked with Chrome, worked fine) so I Refreshed Firefox, and that seems to have wiped out all my adblockers? The sound is back, but now I'm getting ads all over the place? What happened?
Thanks,
John

I have added DuckDuckGo to Firefox for my search engine. Would this be the cause. If not, what do I need to do to resolve?

Hi! I've been using Firefox the last 8 years, and so far I have not had any problems. I have latest version of Mac OS. I used to play Friv flash games at https://www.friv.com/, but it has not been updated for a long time, so I started playing at https://www.friv5online.com/, https://www.desura.com/ and https://www.y8games.center/. I don't remember exactly when it started, but definitely after the next update Mozilla and now I can not to play any game! When I go to the page with the game, there is a black background... I'm honestly now sure how best to explain this because it's kind of weird, but I will try my best. Basically, Firefox thinks there's two windows open, when really there is only one. When I right click on the Firefox logo in my Dock (I'm on Mac), it tells me I have two windows open, the main window I use and then a second "What's new with Firefox" window (see screenshot). This is the "invisible" window. I have tried many things to get Firefox to realize that window doesn't exist. I've quit Firefox many times, tried to get my Mac to display all windows (it says there are no open windows when I close out of my main window), restarted my Mac, cleared cache and cookies, removed from Dock, etc. At this point, I don't know what's left to do other than remove Firefox entirely and re-install it and I would hate to do that. I hope I've provided enough detail to get the gist of the issue. If you need any more info, I'm happy to provide it! Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello,
Ever since I used 'Refresh' to solve a problem, I now have to sign into all my regular sites, like YouTube, FaceBook and especially Twitter, where I receive a warning every time I sign in. (See attachment).
To clarify: before the Refresh, I could just bring up these sites and be automatically signed in. My computer remembers the sign in names and passwords, but I still have to go through the process, and with Twitter, I'm getting these warnings, which has caused that site to ask for more info to verify my identity.
So: why am I coming up as a 'new user' every time I want to go to sites I've been going to for years?
Thank you,
John

Ever since you last changed Preview, it takes FOREVER for the darn page to load (be seen in Preview) and then FOREVER more to print. Half the time my doc doesn't even show up the first time Preview loads and I have to repeat it. The only work-around I've found is to open my doc in Safari and then print - which is insane. What's wrong with Firefox??

Hey, I want to make the UI slightly larger; I have found that modifying layout.css.devPixelsPerPx in about:config works the way I need it to. However, when using multiple screens with different resolutions, the scaling no longer appears consistent between those screens. That would make sense (since it's a per-pixel configuration), but I couldn't any configuration option that only acts as a modifier for the standard scaling mechanism. I'm using macOS (10.15.7), Firefox 88.0. Attaching a screenshot taken from both screens together (not sure how macOS handles the difference in resolution when handling screenshots, there's definitely some magic going on with macOS screenshots in general; either way, it shows the problem really well).

Attached is a sample of how web pages display. These can either initially display this way or, as in this example, the page opened correctly, I stepped away for a few minutes and when I viewed the page again it looked like the example. I can have a page open and it is displaying correctly, then open a new tab and go to a different site and the text will look like the example.
I have cleared the cache, dumped all the cookies. Restarting the browser (I do this many times a day) will fix the current page but eventually another page will display like this.
I running version 84.0.2 64bit on a Mac Pro Mojave. I don't have this problem with other browsers like Chrome or Safari. I never see it on my Windows 10 system.
