I have the following simple script in ann html-document within a nested frameset:

<script type="text/javascript" language="JavaScript"> </script>

The script is activated by the "onload" function in the body. This works flawlessly in Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari and Opera, bit not in Firefox (latest version).

Anyone any idea how to get it working in Firefox?

After moving my profile from one computer to another (I am in the process of replacing an old laptop with a semi-new one) Enhanced Tracking Protection no longer detects any trackers, even of things that it previously blocked. Embeds of tweets, ads served with tracking cookies. It's like the function just... doesn't find them at all.

I've tried turning tracking protection on and off, turning it from strict to standard, and nothing makes it start detecting tracking agents again.

Any help would be appreciated.

Firefox 86.0 (64bit) Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS Gnome 3.36.8 Desktop: Intel 2 core E7500 CPU AMD RV710 Graphics Memory 3.8GiB Firefox entire display including menu bars covered with colored confetti which moves in response to mouse movement. Firefox Safe Mode is not affected. No other application on this system is affected. Effects all user log ins on this system. Action: Complete uninstall (purge) of Firefox and cache then reinstall--No Fix i.e no additional AddOns. I believe this uninstall/reinstall removed Firefox and downloaded a fresh copy.

Hi - The last 2-3 Mac OS versions of FF (85.0.2, 86.0) are not allowing me to open Firefox>Preferences from the Firefox menu, the dashboard icon, or using Command-,

I'm only able to open the Preferences window by typing about:preferences in the address bar. If I keep a Preferences tab available, I'm able to navigate to that window using the aforementioned methods.

Any ideas?

Hello, i was unable to access Google and YouTube due to "Error code: SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER", i could still access Gmail and drive but those two would not budge, i was still able to access them trough Chrome tough.

I did not have any anti-virus installed, did install malwarebytes for a moment, did a scan and uninstalled it, did not do anything. Turned off windows defender and nothing happened. I did have glasswire installed so uninstalled that as well and nothing happened.

After researching a bit more i found a solution where a guy imported the required certificate from another browser so i did the same. The certificate from both these websites was "DigiCert Global Root G1A" and it was present in Chrome but it was missing in Firefox(In case its relevant), and afterward i got access to both these websites however YouTube stopped working properly. The sidebar on the main site does not show any content( https://prnt.sc/109dtjv ), the comment section wont load and also when i click on my profile it wont load as well ( https://prnt.sc/109dux1 ). As far as i am aware those are the only issues i am facing, the videos load with no problem. Everything is working properly on Chrome so i will assume its not YouTube. I tried starting in incognito mode and safe mode, the issue is still there. So what im currently assuming is that maybe i should not have imported a certificate from another browser but i could be wrong so any help would be appreciated.

TL:DR: Imported certificate from another browser to fix "Error code: SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER", now YouTube wont load the sidebar, comment section and myprofile dropdown menu.

Hi, The alternate search shortcuts are an excellent feature. Prior to a recent Firefox update, I was able to enter a search term and click once on one of the alternate search engine icons to perform the search with that engine.

Currently, I need to click the icon, e.g. Wikipedia, and confirm the request by pressing Enter or clicking the new item in the entry in the address bar drop-down, "Search with Wikipedia" (screenshot attached).

Is there an item in the about:config settings to revert this change and perform this search with a single click on the icon?

Hi there, How can I get the horizontal print menu bar to display (with "Simplify Page" option)? It was displaying until recently, and then mysteriously just went away. I really need that "Simplify Page" option to display always (whether active or grayed-out). Any suggestions? Cheers, Stephen Gareau

I have 100s of profiles that i need to move to a new computer but the names of the profiles are not .default (see attached screenshot named "Profile names on old computer") - they appear instead to be what i named the profiles.

And when I do move them to the Profile Directory, they aren't recognized in Profile Manager, I assume because they don't end in .default (see screenshot named "Profiles on New Computer" and screenshot "New computer's Profile Manager").

But on my old Macbook, they are recognized just fine. What am I missing or doing wrong?

I updated to the latest v of Firefox, now my bookmark folder dropdown menus open to the right of the screen, not the left as before. How do I restore the previous behavior? I can't find a clear command anywhere.

updated firefox to the latest edition and have lost all bookmarks. Looked at all the articles tried several and no results still no book marks. Please help. a very senior citizen

My Firefox has started refusing to open certain websites which I have previously accessed. These include, but I suspect are not limited to: warhorn.net foambrain.com mybestjudymerch.com

Google Chrome on this computer will open these sites, as will my Firefox install on my work computer. I'm running Big Sur 11.2.1. I have tried every step on https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-cant-load-websites-other-browsers-can and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1290042

In Options, the following selection item is included under General>>>Tabs:

"When you open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately"

Although it has worked well in the past, selection of that option no longer seems to have an effect on new tab behavior. New tabs are thrust into the foreground regardless of whether or not the option is selected in Options.

Is this a flaw in the latest update to Firefox? Will it be corrected soon?

I updated Firefox, now it switches to a new link opened in a tab automatically, I have that setting turned off, I like to open multiple tabs from my bookmarks at once, so I do not want to switch to that tab until I am ready. So how do I uninstall this update or force firefox to stop switching tabs
