Dell Printer 1355cnw

Using the 3 line Menu top right when you try to print using Dell 1355cnw unfortunately after a series of beeps it reports in the window:

No Suitable Paper 024-969 Printer load Paper then press (tick) Custom 0x0 mm

There is nothing wrong with the paper

I can print without problems to the same printer from Google Chrome. I've even installed Opera that also works perfectly without problems. Firefox is my favourite browser, don't want to desert. Could somebody please help. Many thanks Keith

Hi there, I'm trying to duplicate an item in figma ( an web based design tool ). But, every time I try to do it by pressing ctrl+d , the bookmark option pops up. How can i fix this?

I am unable to access https://mybenefitwallet.com/ from Firefox 86.0.1 on Fedora Linux. Same Firefox in Windows works just fine. The error I get when accessing that site is:

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to mybenefitwallet.com. Cannot communicate securely with peer: no common encryption algorithm(s).

Error code: SSL_ERROR_NO_CYPHER_OVERLAP

We have a new add-on of our own that we were trying to add to the Firefox browser. This add-on was tested locally and worked fine. However, upon trying to install the official add-on to the browser, it is throwing the following error, "Installation aborted because the add-on appears to be corrupt".

The add-on in question is, https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/searchgiggle-search/

Any suggestions to address this issue would be appreciated.

I also noticed another post or two about the same topic. As per those posts, the issue got resolved automatically after some time. Can I expect the same?

Sometimes when watching youtube the video will be paused, once I unpause it it immediately pauses it again, I dont know when and why this happens but it happens. Only extensions are honey, ecosia search and stylus

I'm using FF v86 on Pop_OS! (Ubuntu 20.10), as well as on Android, sync enabled. No credit cards are remembered/autosuggested.

Under my Privacy settings I can't find the Forms and Autofill section, at all.

Not even sure how to proceed.

Maybe relevant info: I have an external PKCS11 extension managed by the governmental software for ID cards.

For some time now, Firefox browser for Linux keeps adding 2 URLs for Firefox to Prefs>Privacy&Security>Permissions>Warn when sites try to install add-ons>Exceptions, even when Remove All Websites is selected, and saved. That is annoying enough, that you cannot keep these 2-URLs removed; however, as of Firefox for Linux v86.0.1, the Prefs>Home>Home>New tabs won't stay saved on Blank Page, as it always has before. It just keeps reverting to Firefox Home (Default). Since I run no add-ons or extensions, and have tried help>troubleshoot info>open directory deleted all related prefs.js files, clear startup cache, tried to set form safe mode, refreshed Firefox, and completely purged and reinstalled to experience the same results, it's looking as if this is truly a newly introduced problem with the latest update. I've been searching for the past week, without any luck, to see if anyone else has commented on this new development, and figured it's time I started the thread. Would be nice if both settings issues were resolved once and for all. It's really not too much to expect settings actually stay set when presumably saved. Please help Mozilla...

86.0 - Mozilla Firefox for Ubuntu canonical 1 Not sure when it started being a problem, it could have been a recent upgrade or an older one.

Firefox won't print anymore. It sends the page to the printer (Dell 1355cnw) but it sends the wrong page size info. The printer asks for paper - Custom 0x0mm - to continue printing - which I obviously can't supply.

I have checked that I've selected the correct page size (A4) and orientation (Portrait) in Firefox, but even though A4 is selected it still turns up as - custom 0x0mm - at the printer.

I have used both the new inbuilt printer dialogue and the system dialogue (Elementary OS).

about:support - lists the paper size as print_paper_id iso_a4_210x297mm print_paper_height 11.6945 print_paper_width 8.26378

but the printer is obviously not getting that information correctly

I've tried "Reset Firefox printer settings" - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-printing-problems-firefox Still no luck

I can print from all other programs.

Printing to file "save to PDF" and then printing the resulting pdf is my work around at the moment but I'd rather have it working properly, and printing directly from Firefox

It is my understanding that in Private browsing mode, tabs aren't isolated from each other and all tabs share the same (in memory) cookie jar and thus, for instance, existing third-party cookies are possibly sent in the same private session.

Why multi-account-containers addon is not avaliable in PB when it can be beneficial?

I had to reinstall Ubuntu 20.04 because I removed vital Python 2 and 3 and it broke. Before doing this I was logged into my Firefox profile and should have had my bookmarks and extensions synced. I do not see any reason why this would not be the case. However, after my reinstall of Ubuntu and logging into Firefox profile all of my bookmarks and extensions are gone. I tried checking around Firefox and it only shows bookmarks and extensions from after my reinstall. I have not performed a backup since I reinstalled Ubuntu, but those bookmarks are there. So I don't understand why I can't find my old bookmarks and extensions from before my Ubuntu issue, because I was logged into my Firefox account. My Firefox account information should have been saved to my account not my computer anyway. Please help me I had a lot of important bookmarks on there, but can't remember all of them.

So I ran firefox --headless in the terminal and got this and firefox didn't start. After a couple mins I killed the process and when I start again, Firefox didn't run even in normal mode. I had to restart.

I changed the email address for my Firefox Account today, which involved entering my password. The password was not recognized, despite having been used without any problems in the past, and being stored unchanged in my password manager.

I managed to reset the password using my Recovery Key, logged in with it successfully, then tried to create a new Recovery Key to replace the now obsolete one. The process failed at the first step, however, claiming an incorrect password. I reset once more, again logged in with it successfully, and yet again I get an incorrect password error when trying to generate a new Recovery Key.

Obviously the password is working fine as I've successfully used it to log into this Support forum.

What could be the issue here?

I am using aframe and roboto font in (msdf https://aframe.io/docs/1.2.0/components/text.html#stock-fonts). Font is not showing correctly on my linux machine (Fedora silverblue). Can you give me hint how to fix it. I should see font at https://ndmspc.gitlab.io/ndmvr

Is there a way I can get the number of tabs open in all Firefox windows using shell scripts only, without installing extensions like this one (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tab-counter-webext/)? Pointing me to a file where Firefox might keep the number/s would help a lot!

Hello, i have at this moment TWO versions off ff in use. my standard install wont open any file on the LOCAL drive AND severall BUTTONS are not working so now i use the 'standalone' version that just opdated to 87, nice but the OLD version 78ers is now broken or hacked

i tried to look up profile.js etc but perhaps on debian those migth have a different name ? i noticed that with other progs and configs aswell. is it the permisions.ini file ?

the general.config.obscure_value is NOW 0, but WAS 13

i hope there is a simple solution. if i continue with 87 and delete 78 , what will happen? after RE-install off 87esr al still is blocked. C

System: Latest FF, Linux Mint 19.3 Since the latest FF update yesterday morning (3/24), I can't access my data on the IRS.gov site (specifically stimulus refund/credit info). I get this page instead:

Hi is there a way of having the same functionality as Opera has on highlight duplicate tabs on hover. https://blogs.opera.com/desktop/2020/02/r2020-opera67-tidy-your-browsing/ I use this all the time in Opera and I would love to see this feature in Firefox.

I am trying to access my organizations Sharepiunt website (part of Office 365) from Firefox 87 on Linux.

I get the site not found screen, saying "Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site. We can’t connect to the server at XXX732.sharepoint.com." where XXX is the organization I work for.

The hostname XXX732.sharepoint.com does not resolve using nslookup, but other webbrowsers do manage to access it.

Any suggestions?
