I have cleared cache, disabled extensions, restarted Firefox, all to no avail. This happens consistently with dailykos web pages, but they work perfectly well in Chrome.

There are no error messages.

I am using the latest version of Firefox with Mojave on a Mac.

Lately I have experienced slowness despite the fact that I didn't add any software and I have Norton checking for viruses. Recently I got a message "Your system has run out of application memory" when I had 5 tabs open in Firefox. I checked Activity Monitor and it showed Firefox using 1.16 GB. 7 other apps were open, the next one with the highest memory usage was Mail (465 MB). Activity Monitor showed 30 instances of FirefoxCP Isolated Web Content entries.

I attached a screen capture showing what Firefox was using in one of these instances. Is this "normal" with 5 tabs open?

I closed the open tabs and quit Firefox. Memory usage by Firefox went down, but after a short time the problem happened again.

A search on the internet showed lots of similar complaints about FirefoxCP Isolated Web Content. Is this a known bug? Any way to avoid this problem?

disable pop=up sign-in with google prompt LAPTOP WINDOWS 11 FIREFOX 105.0.3 64-BIT 1. Over the last few days I have been getting a sign in with Google prompt on most websites I visit. Please refer to the photos. This looks identical to the Google generated promt, however in my Google account settings I have this option turned off. Is this a Google bug or a Firefox thing? With all the other annoying popups these days, this is just another irritation frustration to view a website.

I DON'T WANT TO CLOSE THIS POP-UP BUTTON EVERYTIME I GO TO LOG IN AT TWITTER, IT'S NEW. I HATE IT. HAVE DELETED TONS OF UNKNOWN FILES IN MY USER FOLDERS TODAY, NOTHING HELPED (LOCAL/GOOG FOLDER & TEMP FOLDERS). MAYBE I NEED TO RESET SOMETHING IN CONFIG OR A REGEDIT SETTING FOR FIREFOX. I'm a teacher and over the past few years, I've been using different Simple Tab Groups for different courses, lesson plans, readings, topics, etc. Which has been great. I've currently accumulated 31 tab groups. A couple of times in the past, tab groups have disappeared or all bunched into one group and I've had to rescue them from History or STG bookmarks and sort them out. Which made me fear that Simple Tab Groups isn't terribly secure.

Are Simple Tab Groups pretty safe, or risky to maintain in the long run? Should I switch to a different Tab organizing / Tab saving program or add-on or app? If so, is there a way to migrate the many many tabs I've saved?

I do not have a G account. For work related purposes I have to utilize websites that bombard me with Sign in w Google. No settings within FF I found can stop this onslaught. Same goes for Ad Block Plus and a few others since disabled and deleted. No useful information on G's forum website. Firefox, I was under the impression your about user safety & security? Why O Why do I get this garbage from G daily in your browser 105.3 on Win 10 home without a way to disable it?

Linux Since the last 'automatic' update, Firefox hangs when started, but doesn't show any GUI.

Many experiments later, I can report the following progress:

- I started firefox from the command-line, hoping to see some output (no luck there), and eliminating problems with the window manager launcher (XFCE) - Firefox launches, but in triplicate: 3 instances are running (of firefox, _not_ firefox-bin) - There is no console output. - Running inside gdb shows threads entering and exiting, no errors. On ^C, there's just a message about exiting the current thread. - If I kill two of the instances, the GUI appears, so it seems they are blocking each other - I wanted to trace the startup sequence, so I did `strace ./firefox 2> log` and behold, firefox started! This is why I am reporting this on the actual started firefox. - Which makes me suspect a 'race condition' - surely the strace is slowing things down, allowing one instance to create the GUI. Some code which is not lock-protected?

I'm afraid this could happen again in next session, which is why I report this first, before trying to restart FF.

Half the time I get messages that I'm not authorized to watch foxnews live even after the screen that says your authorized to view this content. When firefox wont let me watch it I have to load it up on Chrome. Sometimes it works on firefox and sometimes it doesnt

When going full-screen on video, the browser doesn't show the full-screen the first time.

For example, when I want to view a full-screen video on YouTube/Disney/Netflix/Prime Video, I select the full-screen button as usual. However the top left-hand side corners always show a thin blue hue. The thin blue hue only goes away when I leave full-screen and re-select it.

Any ideas on what might be causing this? My browser is up-to-date

I had two Firefox windows open. One had 100+ tabs open, the other had around 5 open. Like a klutz I accidentally closed the window with the 100+ tabs open instead of the other window. Now when Firefox restarts it opens the version with the 5 tabs.  :-( I read about lost tabs in Firefox. I have found a file with the 100+ tabs in it. It is called: upgrade.jsonlz4-20221007134813. But what do I do next to restore Firefox to restart with the 100+ tabs version? Thanks.

When opening an email with an attachment (either a pdf or picture) in Yahoo mail, the Yahoo mail tab closes and I have to then reopen it from History, Recently Closed Windows. It's been dong this for some time now. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi there I reset my pc I know my username and password to my login here but not letting me sign into gmail (given I might have used Firefox's password generator thingy and I can't login and I've got my important websites signed into that login, thoughts on how to reset my password?. I am using a Windows computer. Is there a way to change the two finger swipe to go back (or forward) a webpage to a "THREE" finger swipe? Two finger swipes interfere with other things that I may be trying to do on a webpage. I often find myself scrolling through tables (using two finger scrolling) and then if I scroll too far in one direction it goes BACK to the last webpage I was on. This is super frustrating!

I know how to disable the two finger swipe using about:config. However, if it can be changed to a 3 finger swipe instead, that would be a huge help.

I had to add Javascript because one of my accounts need Javascript to open. After installing Javascript and allowing for all to be 'true', I still get this message when I try to open a 'show blocked content' in my email.

"The address wasn’t understood

Firefox doesn’t know how to open this address, because one of the following protocols (javascript) isn’t associated with any program or is not allowed in this context.

   You might need to install other software to open this address."

I never had any problem before installing Javascript. Thanks for any solutions.

We have our downloads set to a network location, and ask to save in location. We have needed to apply the fix I found in a forum by going to about:config, browser.download.improvements_to_download_panel and change value from true to false.

However, when even going to a PDF on the internet, it is automatically saving to the network location. Can this be changed?

but the problem is that in the Applications list in Settings there is no "tel" application type for me to set

how can i get Voice to call the numbers in webpages?

Besides old content from 2017 where is the most current listing of Tabs below the URL and below the Multi Bookmarks lines. I have the code inserted in the CSS code after the code for the Multi bookmarks section. So, why is the Tabs showing up at the bottom of the screen. Can someone point me to the right version of tabs? I'm on 105.0.2 10-8-22

I'm on FF Beta v105.0b6, and a recent upgrade (I'm guessing from 104 to 105) has caused popup windows to be ghosted when saving files, leaving only the file selector field visible and floating above the main window, often indistinguishable from the text below it. I've been able to work around this by temporarily jumping to another screen or window and then back to find the complete popup window magically revealed.

I've attached two clips from windows a see after clicking Download link on the https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/ page. This ghost behavior also happens on pages where I right-click context to "save as" or click download link for TXT, PDF, PKG or other types of files.

This doesn't seem to be a popup blocking issue, since my FF is not configured to block these specific sites and the popup is minimally visible. Also, the temporary workaround of simply switching my view away and back points more to a page rendering issue.

I'd appreciate any ideas on resolving or preventing this behavior. If these clues point to a bug, I hope they help resolve the issue.
