For the last week or two I have had an issue with Firefox closing my email (yahoo business mail) tab automatically, every time I download a file from an email.

After opening emial I click to download the file, i have the settings set to ask where I want it saved, and then either while I'm selecting the destination and labeling it, or right after the tab automatically closes. It happens both ways which suggests to me it's occurring after a specified amount of time, not based on completion of an action. And it's happening every time.

Hello everyone, Does someone know how to install Firefox on Ubuntu Touch phone?

I did install "Ubuntu touch" on my smartphone few weeks ago.

But without my favorite Firefox Navigator, this is useless for me !

Even a older version of Firefox will be fine. All i need for now, is a Sync of my configuration (bookmarks and Passwords Manager). Firefox should have app in Openstore for Ubuntu touch phones as its opensource and promotes security.

I just downloaded the new Mac Ventura update, and when I opened Firefox all my previous tabs opened up, but my Toolbar completely disappeared, as in there is an empty space for it, and they show when I click on Bookmarks, but not on the actual browser window. The same thing happened with my Add-on extensions, all disappeared, and they're not even showing in my library. When I tried to download them again online, every single one gave me a red error message "An unexpected error occurred during installation." Please advise what's going on and/or how I can fix this to get my normal browser back. Thanks

A few months ago when I updated to the latest version, as I always do, the bookmarks were not carried over. I restored to an earlier time to retrieve them and have been using an old version. Every time that I go to the program and when asked to update, I click "no." I am finding now that several websites will not accept Firefox. After 20 years of saving, I do not want to recreate, as I would have had to do at that time. Do I now upgrade to newest version and pray that my bookmarks are there?

I was able to get to the site 2 times before , but am not finding it on this try. I am downloading my i-phone photos via the browser to my MAC and then deleting them from my i-phone.

how do i stop firefox opening my pdf files. i have set adobe as my default yet it still keeps using firefox. I have also changed the settings in adobe, without success. I will stop using firefox if this cannot be fixed. it drive me nuts

I am forced to use a specific version of Firefox to use a particular site. The version is 52.0.2 (yeah, I know - don't start). The site also needs a specific version of Java (JRE8 - Update 161). I am on Windows 11 (64 bit) and I also have a regular version of Firefox installed (fully updated to 109.0).

I have successfully installed (multiple times) and I am starting that version of Firefox with it's own shortcut which is configured as

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox Foo\firefox.exe" -p Foo -no-remote

In the first session, I go to Tools->Options-Advanced-Updates and set it to never download updates. If I now exit and start again, Firefox installs updates and upgrades to a new version namely 60.x.x

How can I prevent this behavior?

Hi, I reinstalled FF and initially got the problem of missing profile, so I restored some files from my Mac Time Machine backup and now I cannot even start FF. I have re downloaded but all get is the small banner page after starting the dmg. How can I start FF and what files can I restore from my back ups to get me back to where I was yesterday? I am totally lost.

I'm searching for a method to download video files that are formatted as a .mov files without changing the file format. Firefox browser 109.0 running on a Windows 10 PC modifies the files from .mov to .mp4 when saving the files on the PC from a cloud file storage website. Other browsers such as Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge handle the file download without changing the file extension from .mov to .mp4. How to I alter the settings within FireFox to maintain the original .mov file extension?

Hello, I have downloaded Firefox installer but I couldn't install it. It's giving issue that you need to start over but when i start over again it gives the same issue. I have some pending work to do on my blog so I nee to install it ASAP. How can i fix it? Please help me. Thanks

Firefox stopped openng, tried to reinstall, no response (see the screenshot) I also use Tor Browser (never any problems) and Chrome (when absolutely necessary, like when Firefox failed to connect to an external email server and for sending queries like this one because Firefox does not work and will not reinstall. )

After a long time, I've decided to reinstall Firefox on my PC. Upon installing it, I got the error "Your firefox profile cannot be loaded. it may be missing or inaccessible." I cannot start Firefox.

I tried opening the profile manager, but can't get to it since Firefox won't start. It also is not accessible through using "firefox.exe -P" in the run dialog box.

So then I followed the directions and found my existing profiles.ini which pointed to my profile file. Wondering if it got corrupted, I changed the file extension to profiles.iniold and moved the whole mozilla folder to my desktop. Firefox continued to give me the same error message.

Finally I uninstalled firefox, deleted the mozilla folder under %appdata%, deleted the Mozilla folder under %programdata%, and deleted any mention of Mozilla in regedit. I finally reinstalled a fresh copy of firefox... and I got the same profile cannot be loaded error.

Is there somewhere that I'm not seeing that needs to be deleted to finally get a fresh install? I don't care about the original profile and am happy to start from scratch, but have no idea what I can still do in order to get to that point. Any suggestions on what I can do to completely remove any remnants of the original install from years ago?

Recently Firefox is randomly closing automatically after downloading a file from Yahoo business mail. This happens only with Yahoo business mail and not with other websites. So, when downloading a file from other websites (gmail, etc.) everything is O.K. This happened recently when Yahoo updated its software. Also, happens only with Firefox

Hi. Today I reinstalled the system on my computer. I redownloaded Mozilla and wanted to log in to restore my bookmarks. I forgot my password. I used the button that I forgot my password. I used my email and activation link for a new password. After logging back into Mozilla, my bookmarks are gone. Nothing like creating a new account. It is very important for me to recover my data.

I opened an account with roboforms yesterday to store my passwords. They say the extension I first installed is not working, tried to uninstall & reinstall but no longer have the link to do that.
