Hello! Since my last update (yesterday, I think?), the predictions that pop up in the Firefox Google homepage search (center of the page, not the toolbar one) are in unreadable very light colors on white. I use a dark theme, and I have some vision problems. I can't find anywhere to change that particular color setting. Aaaand searching for a fix is hard since I can't see any of the search predictions.

I'd love any info on either how to change that, and if not, perhaps to report a bug.

I have logged on and opened only five tabs. I now have 13 Firefox instances. Firefox has gotten unusable. I've tried everything that Mozilla and others recommend. Don't bother to tell me to uncheck "Use recommended performance settings." Who hasn't don't that already. I also don't need to read that this is normal. I HATE Chrome but will have to switch to it if I cannot improve my very slow functionality. People need real solutions, not the same answer pasted into every complaint about this. Perhaps the answer is that you have no solution.

I even tried to set the autostart option to "false" as some suggest to disable multi-processes. I think that's made it worse.

I have fought this for several years but now, the situation is very much worse. I've been exiting Firefox and getting back in to stop so many processes (sure, sure, instances) but now I see 13 instances with only 5 tabs opened. Within 10 minutes, I have 13 processes running. Call them instances if you like, but they are 13 separate .exe files that are slowing me almost to a stop.

My wife & I have used Firefox for some considerable time now and like it a lot.

However, we have been having trouble with Firefox recently and wonder if you are aware of this. It manifests itself in a very subtle way with only some FEATURES of a particular website not operating, (but no ‘warning’ messages whatsoever).

To begin with, I was at a loss to understand why something didn’t work but, now that this has happened to me on THREE different websites (with features that work perfectly well under MS Edge!), I have come to the conclusion that Firefox is the only “common denominator”.

The first problem was with https://www.parcel2go.com. They have a “Live Help” (Chat) feature. It no longer works with Firefox!

The second was with https://account.patientaccess.com. Try to order “repeat prescriptions” and all is well – until you hit “send”. It no longer works with Firefox!

Today, I have discovered that with https://www.bt.com I am now longer able to access my BT email accounts. Furthermore, they also have a “chat” facility – except that is now also ‘invisible’ to Firefox!

I have seen mention that DuckDuckGo (which I also use) might be involved here?

I have a home desktop running OpenBSD -current (snapshots), and FIreFox is obtained from the OpenBSD package system.

When I update to a new snapshot and updated packages, the preferred display setting (dim) is lost. I don't have to log in again, but I have to reset the display.

I don't know where that selection is stored, but I'd like to make it persistent.

cmd+numbers on alphanumeric keys should switch to respective tab (cmd+1 to 1st tab, cmd+5 to fifth...). With CZ keyboard layout on MacOS, cmd+1 does NOT switch to first tab, it Zooms In instead. No other browser (Edge, Safari, Opera, Orion) exhibits this behaviour. Other numbers work as expected.

FF 98.0.2 on Monterey 12.2.1.

How do I fix this? Thanks.

Hello, I had a problem today, while the google search area used to be black, now when I type something, it appears white and the text texts are faded, I tried resetting and reinstalling the browser, it didn't work, I'm using it in dark mode, I didn't have a problem before, how can I fix it?

I have been using Firefox for something specific for a long time now. I've noticed in a recent update having the ability to do what I need has ceased. If a Firefox window is covering another (or covered by another program) on the screen, the graphics of the background Firefox window no longer update. I run a software that needs to see these graphics in order to function properly.

Could you tell me which version this stopped working and if there are plans to reverse whatever change you made?

First website opens I put in my user name then click the little green "enter" box and it does nothing. will not move on to password. The second website I put in my user name and password and it replies "Oops! Something went wrong!" I also can't get the sale ads from this website. They don't seem to be able to get into my email box.

I'm really frustrated with this. This is the second time this has happened but I don't know the repair guy did to fix it the first time and at that time it only affected one of the accounts which was my credit union.

I tried taking screen shots but It won't paste into this box and I can't get a shot of accessibility properties which is where I find the errors that I don't know how to fix.

Firefox updates automatically at random points in time and destroys all the work as I cannot open any new tab(every new tab says something about restarting Firefox). This causes severe problems as some people may use Firefox for work and it may be quite a f__k up when you're discussing something with your client and out of a sudden you need to tell them that all you've been building up for the last 20minutes needs to be done again and you're short of time because the meeting ends in, let's say, 10 minutes.

That means Firefox is not useful for professional use like business, science(reported by someone else https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1314749 ) and probably other fields.

How about telling the user that Firefox is going to update when restarted but not forcing the user to restart it NOW and to destroy user's work at random points in time?

Besides the above Firefox dosen't restore the tabs when forcefully quits to do the update which not only makes me lose the content of a form that was being filled but also varius tabs that were opened at that time.

I'm aware that I can disable automatic updates by setting one of the parameters to false in about:config but I'm not sure whether I'll be informed about updates in this case and what's more this doesn't make Firefox suitable for a regular user that may not have this knowledge. Chrome is more friendly to regular users in this case.

Hello, I downloaded the Yoroi wallet as an add in to the firefox browser. I am using the wallet with a Ledger Nano S. I transferred ADA to the wallet (which worked ok), but it will not let me stake or send the ADA. It brings up a message stating: Something unexpected happened. Please retry. I have re-synced the wallet with the blockchain (which went ok), but still I cannot send or stake my ADA. Does anyone know what I can do to remedy this?

Also it says that the ledger nano s is 'Coming Soon', it has been saying that for nearly a year.... When is this service coming?

It's about Mozilla Firefox contributors and, well, stubbornness.

As one who truly liked the very easy to use previous Print Preview, I'm concerned that jscher2000 (Top 10 Contributor) may be "protecting his 'turf'" rather than listening to people requesting a return to the well-liked drop-down option...which was faster, easier to use and, also, easier to see (size-wise).

After, re-explaining himself (herself?) to questions/requester persons, responses offered, to be generous, were less than helpful. The were simply repetitions, with no apparent understanding of the frequently made statements, that the old version was easier to use and read, i.e., no gain was made by changing, it was just a change. And, in my opinion, which was probably made by someone seeking credit for a "change." A change that wasn't, and isn't, for the better.

My but clue, with that regard, was Mr/Ms's dissatisfaction with someone "shouting," i.e., using all capital letters. Frankly, I was ready to scream after all of jscher2000's repetitious defenses.

Please, guys, you certainly have the code. Just put it back. (I'd have used an exclamation point at the end of the last sentence, but I decided not to risk offending a Mozilla contributor.)

I am trying to run Firefox 98.0.2 for linux running xubuntu it constantly hangs I turned off hardware acceleration did no good just now I was surfing and as usual it hung about half way through the site it froze the mouse still moves as usual so I clicked the three line menue bar after about a minute it stated working again for about 15 seconds has been froze now for at least 2 minutes. Firefox just restarted after mouse pointer disappeared so far fine but won't last. I use opera mostly no issues at all
