I downloaded firefox desktop for my imac 27" none of the passwords I had on file would work so I changed the password and tried it. It appeared to work but after a while the incorrect password came up again. I continued to try using the code you sent via email several times and even though it appeared to. accept the password it still rejects your code. I have tried both caps and lower case characters but it still rejects the login

when i try go log in on certain sites i keep getting a message asking for a fingerprint my computer doesn't have a finger print and i have no clue what it is asking for.

Hello, I’ve lost access to my Firefox account because I don’t have the 2-step authentication code or recovery codes. I can still access my registered email address associated with this account. Please help me recover or reset my Firefox account.

I’ve been hacked. They actually got into my email. I found emails in the trash from Mozilla with had codes on it to change my information I have since retrieve those and I have lockdown with the two authentication and changed my password. How else can I get support as far as this is not happening again.

I don't have, and think I never had, an authenticator app. So how is the replacement MacBook requiring 2-step authentication that requires an authentication app before I can sync to my Win 10 websites? I am new to the MacBook, and it would help to know if it has an authenticator app, and how to get it to work with Firefox.

'Gmail continues to require 2-step verification when I sign into one of my gmail accounts. I cannot seem to turn this off, even though I've turned off 2-Step verification on my Google account. Is Firefox part of this situation?

When on laptop, I want to synchronize account to desktop. I try to log on but need to get authorization code. The code takes an unreasonable amount of time to arrive, to my phone sms or email. When I updated to MacOS Tahoe 26.0, Firefox prompted me to autofill security codes received by iMessage. That happened once or twice and then stopped working. I just tried it in Safari, and it does work. So, something is wrong in the handshake between Firefox for Mac 144.0.2 and MacOS iMessage. Here is how to replicate it.

Login to a website that requires two-factor authentication. Have a security code texted to your iPhone. When that text appears in iMessages on a Mac linked to the iPhone, there should be a small popup asking if you want to insert the security code into the web page. In Safari, there is. In Firefox, there isn't. This feature appears to be broken in Firefox.

On many of the sites that require hardware key for 2FA, what I should get is a prompt to press the Yubikey button, but instead I get a technical error. This has happened with logging into Google and Vanguard. Both use Yubikey as a 2FA.

I did not encountered this issue on Micrsoft Edge. I am running this on Windows 11 24H2. I believe it used to work.
