Hello, On March 1, I worked with the Mozilla help team to create a recovery key. Now that I need it, it says it is an MS Dos executable file, and that I can't run that file on my computer. I have tried a few workarounds from google, but really I just need my recovery key. I thought maybe this was because wordpress is no longer available on Windows PCs but I can't open it in word either, it just keeps saying it's an MS Dos executable file.

I really need the recovery key because I can't access anything on one of my computers. Can you assist?

I looked on multiple forums but can't find an answer.

I am trying to setup 2 way authentication for the Mozilla extensions account. But i can't get past the "Confirm backup authentication code" part.

I get the error:

"There was a problem confirming your backup authentication code"

Here is the codes that i got (can be public because it's expired and i left 2 of them out):

So i copy just one of them, and i get the error.

• No im not copying all of them, just one
• No i don't have spaces in there
• No there is no capitals or anything in there or caps (im copy pasting).

It's very odd and i can't upload my application.

Please advice. Anyone have some idea?

Hi, i am trying to upload a Firefox extension, it is my first one and i am trying to upload it. I however cannot get it to work as the code my authentication app does not work. I have tried several authentication apps but i am always returned with the same error message whenever i enter in my code. "Invalid two-step authentication code". Is their a fix to this, so far i tried using google authenticator and DuoMoblile. Thanks

I am having trouble signing into my account ******@gmail.com. I no longer have an authenticator app account and I used all of my backup codes. I do have a recovery key though. I hope this helps in recovering access to my account.

I'm having an issue in accessing a website & haven't before. There are 2 e-mail addresses associated w/my account since signing up for Mozilla. Just yesterday it changed after a download & now I'm getting 2-factor set up when accessing one website. Please advise if you have any ideas.

I received an email at an email account I don't use for my Mozilla Firefox, thus why seems suspicious and strange to me. So I researched it here and saw the answer to another persons same question. I did go and check, I am logged in. Firefox is my primary and I use it constantly. Also on my phone and tablet, same account. As I write this, I have about 15 tabs open and active. The email associated to my account is not the same as the one I got this email at. The email I got it in, I use for solicitation, signing up for things and things I don't trust. I've been trying to set up 2fA on my firefox account, the whole process seems to work, I downloaded the backup codes and entered one to confirm and then got confirmation that 2FA was enabled (see screenshot). However, after reloading the page 2fA is shown as being disabled and indeed if I try to log out then in again I'm not asked for a code. I've tried this a couple of times now and it does the same every time. The auth app I'm using is Aegis.

Does anyone knows why this is happening ? Thanks.

[Edit: I just saw that after each time I tried to set it up, in "recent account activity" I add an error saying "Two-step authentication failed" which doesn't really makes sense...]
