I tried to post this question in the correct forum, but there is no option to choose Firefox Send as a product when asking a question. The Firefox Send forum at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/firefox-send appears to be empty and I didn't see a way to post there directly.
An email account at my school district was recently compromised and had sent out 122 malicious phishing links via Firefox Send before we stopped it and took control of the account back. I have the list of malicious Firefox Send links and I'd like to share them with the proper people at Mozilla so something can be done.
The files are all password-protected archives (I know the passwords) that contain malicious VBS files which have their code heavily obfuscated. I haven't yet tried to figure out what the VB scripts do - I was hoping a cyber security professional would be willing to take a look.
Someone please contact me so I can at least try to get the files taken down.
If I were to make a feature request for Firefox Send, it would be to add a button to report a file as malicious.

I have a series of bookmark that are usable/contactable internally from my work WAN network. These bookmarks are unreachable when using my PC from my home network. No problem with that, it's the correct FF behavior.
However, recently selecting one of the unreachable bookmarks results in a re-direct to a third party (malicious) webpage.
How do I change the re-direct address on an unreachable URL? Or default it back to "normal behavior"?

My Firefox Browser deleted itself somehow and microsoft edge took over as the default browser. I clicked on the browser in my task bar and a grey error box came up and said the short cut needed to be removed because foxfire.exe was not found. Then on my desktop I had a new folder called "Old Firefox Data".
I had a issue yesterday where I downloaded 2 Viruses (in a zipped folder) off the firefox secure transfer app because I thought it was a contract for work. My virus scan software removed the 2 trojan viruses and corrected the unauthorized changes to my computer.
How did the entire Firefox.exe disappear? Do I still have a problem? Thanks in advance!

Over the past 48 hours there have been at least ten breaches of my account. At first I assumed it was a breach of PayPal when someone used it to purchase a $3000 laptop on Newegg. I figured it couldn't be Firefox because Mozilla is pretty good with that sorta thing and because the only fraud was via my PayPal account. Well ... just over an hour ago someone attempted to purchase a $2200 laptop with my Amazon account using a completely different payment method, and I received several emails in both my Gmail and Protonmail regarding several accounts which I did not create. Firefox is the only browser I use, and I have passwords stored in it; I'll have to change all of them and remove them to a thumb drive. But Firefox appears to have a data breach ongoing right now. I can share screenshots if necessary but I will have to redact personal information and that will of course take time.

Hi While doing online banking (with Firefox, which I have on very high security settings), my computer began to partially freeze. I signed-out and then my computer was frozen and I powered-off the computer for safety. I started it again, and found that someone had replaced my Firefox with another version that had all of my settings removed. This was not an UPDATE by Firefox and I proved this. I checked my FIREWALL and some by the name of Igor Pavlov somehow was able to pass by my Kaspersky firewall; and, when I expanded his name, the evidence that he had indeed altered my Firefox (and perhaps more than once) was before my eyes! Shocking that he was able to alter my Firefox. Please see attachment.
Despite "denying" him in my firewall, I seem to continue to have problems with Firefox (freezing at times), even though I uninstalled the version that he put on, and reinstalled Firefox (which kept all of my old settings, as it always does with I reinstall or when updates are done). I am afraid to use Firefox right now, unfortunately.
At this point I want to entirely clean Firefox from my computer so that a reinstall does not recognize my past settings or anything else. Then reinstall fresh to see if that helps.
Do you have any other suggestions?
Thanks very much,
TJ

Hi Folks,
I've used Firefox for years with no problem. Yesterday, I was seeking out a specific font. The website looked legit, but then a security block happened and I don't recall if it was Firefox security or Acronis that flashed a brief "block" announcement. In any case, from that point on, several "racey" websites popped up every time I loaded Firefox. This happened even after I restarted my computer. I then checked to see if I had pop-ups blocked on the Firefox options. I didn't, so I checked the box against pop-ups. But what happens now is Firefox does an attempt to load TWICE with an odd jerk-flash movement. Only one Firefox browser window comes up -- and that's good -- but SOMETHING is still trying to make those "racey" websites load. Why? How?
All of that to say that I'm concerned about security. Should I uninstall Firefox and reinstall?
Thanks for your input! Bob Anderson

Whereas MS Edge Defender Screen did a wonderful job, and also Norton safe web did well in this regard.

I have had my passwords on lockwise for several years then when it stopped it went back to firefox browser. I was hacked last part of Dec 2021 and browser had all my passwords and stuff in it. All my passwords were removed I see now that I have been able to get back in it. Were the transferred to another ID? I know that the hackers got all my updated pwords. I was able to one by one get back into several accts and gain control of my login... now I have to figure out where all my stuff went. Please, help. Where do I go from here? Can you identify where all my stuff went and by whom?

Is it possible to password protect one specific tab?
I have a tab with my gmail open, and I use google to login to other sites, so it is sensitive. Some months ago my computer was remotely hacked and someone could get into my mail through firefox when I was not using it. I would prefer not having to log out every other minute and keep receiving email notifications, but make it impossible for someone to open that tab and poke around.
Note: I use Malwarebytes Premium since then, so maybe this is no longer necessary.

My computer was totally locked, even after I did hard reboot. Message on screen said to call "Microsoft" to unlock. It was not MS, but a company that "represented" MS. I don't know how they did gained access or if they are legitimate or scammers. Name of company is "Instantlivehelps" or Supreme Store. They wanted $350 to unlock the computer, which I have not yet paid. I have firefox, windows 10, and Norton 360 with lifelock and a secure VPN. Is there anything about Firefox that could have helped prevent this and if so, what can I do? I run a store off, so I have to be accessible. Also, I am very much a novice at this. Thanks.
How do i correct this? It seems to only be on the Firefox browser?
