I recently lost all my data on my computer and after logging into my account, I couldn't retrieve my firefox data. I searched everywhere on my browser and couldn't find nothing to fix this.

Hello, So I have chosen Firefox as my default for 10 years now over the others. Lately every time you guys update I can't play videos from Starz and Paramount. First one update ruined Starz and now this past update ruined Paramount. YouTube plays fine and Netflix play fine.. Network TV stations play fine (CBS, NBC, Fox, & ABC). Now no matter what I do as far as setting I can't get videos to play on those 2 Platform

From "About" on the Firefox menu I am trying to download the update from 145.0.2 but it is stalled at 27.1 of 31.3 MB. The little pair of spinning arrows icon just keeps spinning without making any further progress. I'm on a 2020 iMac running Sonoma 14.5 My internet connection is still functioning. I'm wondering what I should do. Is there a way to just cleanly stop and start over? Or stop and continue.

I just bought new PC and switched to win11(never happened on win10). Videos stutter when on 2nd monitor and game is open on first, but audio doesn't. Problem goes away immediately when clicking to the firefox window. Happens on both youtube and twitch, but not on Nebula.tv and not on chrome. Doesn't happen if the video is 480p, but does on 720 and 1080 and both of them are 60fps which might be something. Also doesn't happen if the game is windowed, but does on fullscreen and borderless.

I've disabled hardware acceleration (in windows and browser). I've tried setting both monitors to 60hz, setting firefox priority to high (and game to low), disabling effiency mode, setting power mode to performance and tried a lot of other things including about:config settings. Also ruled out extensions.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9700X GPU: RTX5070 1st monitor: 180hz 2nd: 80hz

I want to delete/remove subject folder from my Windows 11 desktop. I did not create this folder; it suddenly appeared after I reinstalled the Firefox browser. These are the steps I am using in the deletion process: I right click on the folder and click on the delete icon. At the top of the window it says "Folder Access Denied." (Image 1) Below that it says, "You'll need to provide administrator permission to delete this folder." If I click on the "Continue" button, then the error message changes to "You require permission from OWNER/(me) ... to make changes to this folder." (Image 3) The permissions for this folder listed in the "Security" tab lists three groups: 1. "SYSTEM," 2. "F... S... (...@ Outlook.com)" and 3. "Administrators (Owners/Administrators)." All the foregoing have full control and modify control for this folder. The "More details" seen in Images 1 and 3 is grayed out so I cannot get any additional information. How can I delete this unnecessary and data hogging folder? Thank you all very much in advance to all that chose to respond.

Hi community The option to set, how many rows of shortcuts should be visible on the Firefox start screen, is a good idea. E.g. I set 3 rows and fill them with relevant shortcuts. The shortcuts in the bottom row always changes when I visit several websites. My understanding is: Setting the shortcuts as necessary and that's it! Wtf happens, that the last row changes all the time, that makes me fussy. regards wolf

I don't remember when it started but text that wasn't underlined before such as: Names of shortcuts in new tab view Titles of YouTube videos on home page, and recommended while watching a video (not on the video itself) Reddit titles and usernames (old UI)

I have checked settings as best as I can and tried disabling all extensions but still have the issue.

In the standart view of a video, the feature works, but not in fullscreen. In Chrome it also works in fullscreen. Firefox should have support for it since v126 or so, im on v145

Firefox offers to automatically save user IDs and corresponding passwords on a site by site basis. It then will offer (or in some cases just insert the information) on the same site's login page when you return. This seems to be called "autofill" in the documents.

However, for some sites (and this appears to be random), when confronted with a login page, not only will Firefox automatically insert the user ID and PW (autofill), but for each step it will ALSO accept the insertion to move to the next question, effectively automatically log in.

For example, for one site, when I open a new tab and navigate to a site that I had previously saved user ID and PW for, the login page will briefly flash, and then I will be automatically logged into the site. There seems to be no name that I can find to describe this behaviour that distinguishes it from the "autofill" described above. I will call it "autologin" for this question.

My question is how to control this behaviour? I have not consciously chosen to have Firefox autologin for any site, but I do save ID and PW for the autofill capability. Is there a way to turn the autologin on or off (i.e. control it) for specific sites?

nord vpn from desktop icon gives the normal pop up in pic 1. next pic when you go to log in you get the with screen in pic 2. if you try log in from a link nord sent in trouble shooting you get pic 3. if you go to crap browsers like chrome and edge it works fine, but we are removing those programs next weeks for security reasons. so i need this to work on firefox. reinstalled nord with no fix. worked fine 11-2925 but not now 11-30-25

On a new computer, I entered a new Mozilla password, and Mozilla on new computer won't sync with my old bookmarks, which still are on old computer.

Sync doesn't add these bookmarks.

Both computers now sign in with new PW. I can't go back to old PW (doesn't have current standards).

How to get sync to work, and get my bookmarks on new computer?

I would like the window control buttons to stay static rather than appearing when I mouse over them. I keep accidentally activating it when trying to change tabs and it is really inconvenient. Thanks!

I haven't been able to find a keyboard shortcut for switching between FF windows. I'm using MacOS Tahoe. Is this in development, or is it there and I just haven't been able to find it.

Firefox updated and all bookmarks and history has disappeared. Is there a way to get them back?

you asked me to change my profile, choose a color and I did. But when I wanted to Firefox, all my old password and bookmarks had disappeared. I want them back if I am going to continue to use Firefox as my favorite browser.

The URL text box does not at times show the actual URL of the webpage displayed! See attached screenshot. If I click on the back button once and then the forward button, the issue is not resolved. If I click on the back button twice, and then on the forward button twice like last time, the correct URL is listed.

Please address. I have a related URL issue where if using the DuckDuckGo Search I cannot drag and drop the URL into my Bookmarks. I plan on asking another separate question about this.
