So, sometimes, when I already have a Firefox window opened, the markers just don't load, or unload. This can be easily fixed by closing the windown and reloading from history, but I was wondering if there was any way to make it load properly, or maybe reload them, so I don't have to close the window? Thanks

I have Firefox on two computer (plus my phone), both of them are running Linux Mint. On pc#1 Firefox behaves ok; on pc#2 instead it's abnormally zoomed in and it is very annoying to use. I am logged in with my Mozilla account on both devices, they have the same settings and Firefox is the only application displaying this behavior. If it matters, pc#1 has a bigger screen. I've attached a screenshot of the same page visualized on both devices as to show the difference.

Hello, I've updated my Nvidia graphics driver and encountered this issue. Basically I noticed it on twitch.tv mainly, bottom of my website is hidden behind taskbar, as if firefox thinks I have the automatically hiding taskbar setting enabled, which I never used. I've tried deleting some json file from %appdata% which has not helped, tried reinstalling firefox, running in troubleshoot mode,disabling hardware acceleration and nothing helped. Hello! I've been observing strange behaviour during the startup of a new profile window in Firefox. Before launching there is a split second pop-up with no name and flickering colours. Any idea what that might be? I installed firefox on a different win 10 pc and the same happens there

On my windows 11 computer My email used to auto-fill my email and about a month ago it stopped. I am not sure if I did something or it was some update. do you have any suggestions?

I've been using Firefox since 2020 (Kubuntu 20.04 LTS) with a bit of a custom setup:

Since I like moving Data between my Windows and my Linux a lot, I've got a NTFS partition that mounts into my user in Linux.

So /home/user/Desktop or /home/user/Downloads, or [...] is a bind mount that mounts the NTFS user directory there. And since it's Linux and NTFS, this means all files have 777 root root permissions.

This worked fine back in the day. Moving to 22.04 LTS and then 24.04 LTS, I had the problem that Firefox came as a snap. And for snap to allow it to write to the Download directory, I needed to install it in development-mode. And because of my weird setup, I also ran into issues when uploading files.

So I moved to the version of Firefox provided by the mozilla ppa. And this worked.

However the nasty surprise came with version 138.0. First off, it was installed with snap. It ignored my pinned ppa and it did so without warning. I found it weird that once I launched Firefox, all my tabs and bookmarks had disappeared. And once I got the glitchy Downloads again where it would create 10'000 files per download with size 0 I put two and two together and checked the install source. And wouldn't you know it - snap.

Just as a general PSA: If I go through the effort of adding the ppa, pinning it as the prioritized one I wish for that package to fucking respect that. What else would you expect? A Laptop just happens to have the mozilla ppa pinned. And that just so happens to also be a Laptop that has Firefox installed from said ppa. Of course that's a mistake. Because it's less secure so it needs to be fixed for the user of said laptop. Mozilla you can stop pretending to know better how I want my laptop setup.

However with that not enough - the new Sandbox for Firefox (or whatever new feature this is I'm fighting) now also prevents it from downloading to my Downloads folder with the same 10'000 file issue. And even worse, I cannot edit the target directories for Downloads. It doesn't open the directory selection dialog.

So my question: How do I bypass the write protection for mounts with Firefox 138.0? And if that doesn't work how do I "unsandbox" Firefox?

PS: Mozilla and your Dev Team, get back to your roots. You're an open source project stop doing this corporate bullshit. First the TOS now this shit. You're starting to rival Microsoft treating user settings as suggestions.

I think I have trouble getting into Facebook because they don`t trust me with variations every day: Bremen, Hannover andplaces much farther away. Is this normal?

I hope the title explains what I am looking for well. My main computer has had... spooky behavior with its file system recently, and I have been recommended to make a back-up, format my drive, and re-install my operating system (possibly upgrading from Windows 10 to 11 in the process). The biggest hold-up to me doing so is this, as I have no idea how to transfer the extension data between installs, or convert it into a human-readable form. The sheer number of writing drafts in those extensions both make losing them an unacceptable situation and copying the data manually into a document entirely impractical. So, can anyone help me with this? For context, I was on Firefox 138.0 when I stopped using my main computer due to those issues. (Note: It will certainly last long enough to do the Firefox Syncing and other back-up operations, just not for many more weeks or months.)

Since upgraded to 138.0.1 my Firefox browser can't reopen after closing when multiple extensions are enabled. If run in safe mode or have all extensions disabled it can close and reopen correctly but when more extensions enabled firefox.exe will stay in background after closing and I can only reopen it after ending the process in task manager. It has never happened before.

I have been using Firefox for awhile now and something weird is happening. I can't close tabs by clicking on the 'x' on the tab. I also can't use the back arrow and the refresh button. I can right click and close tabs that way and the bookmark bar works. The problem seems confined to the top two bars. Thank you.

So I downloaded a font, It was a helvetica one, and now it shows up on specific websites. I deleted it, restarted my computer, (which also got stuck on the restarting screen) and it still shows up. I probably wouldn't mind, but the font doesn't really look so good, so I need help!

In the image, the font is supposed to be roboto, but it definitely isn't that!

I am using an extension to monitor websites. I would like to start it as homepage. Unfortuantely, it does not come up active. It requires a manual reload (Ctrl-R) because it doesn't fully start.

Is it possible to automate this initial reload?

If not, can the extension developer force the reload on browser startup?

I clicked on an add (will never do that again) that advertised making money by reviewing movies and TV shows that you watch. Wheen the website opened, it really wasn't that, so I closed it. Then every time I would open a new website, a tab with that site would open automatically.

I went to Settings, Privacy and Security, Website Privacy Preferences, Cookies and Site Data and cleared data. I also clicked on Manage Data and removed the website from that list.

It didn't work. Any ideas on how to get rid of this really annoying invasion of my computer and privacy?

middle mouse button isnt working since update.

i had it so that a middle click on it would open a new tab to the right of the other tabs.

i have looked and checked browser.tabs.opentabfor.middleclick and its TRUE.

any suggestions. it is just since update i'm sure of that.

as of last week sometime, videos in my CRM (customer relationship manager) have stopped working. When I use a different browser, ie: Edge, everything works correctly. My CRM company tried to dupliocate the issue on their system using Firefox but they were not having the same issue. Something in my Firefox version 138.0.1 is causing an issue. Can you help troubleshoot and correct my issue?

The attached message is displayed but if I press the refresh button in Firefox enough times the website loads.

I have tried disabling my Norton antivirus and firewall but it does not help.

Any help would be appreciated.
