Hi there, I saw a similar problem and tried everything there (Cache/Cookies etc.) but I still have this problem:
When I access firstdirect.com I get the page loaded but none of the buttons work? All the headings and the Online Banking link are dead.
I tried Troubleshooting mode and lo and behold, it worked, and now it's OK, but.... I use In Private browsing for Finance stuff and this is where I can't get it to work???
Once I got the login page (in normal browsing) I copied the URL, pasted it into the Private tab and it worked perfectly, so t looks like the problem is somewhere in the www.firstdirect.com welcome page?
Tried Edge and that worked too and First Direct are unaware of any login problems, so any ideas please?
I'm baffled! Thanks all, Chris.

When i minimized my firefox windows they dont come back and im on a different program with firefox underneath it and tryt to return to my webpage it will not come back. the only way yo get them back has been to right click and restore but it only lets me right click once every 100 times and to alt tab but thats not as easy as simply just opening the tab as i have for the last 3 years. My email screen has gone to a larger page that will not fit on the computer screen, whether in full screen or partial, the inbox is pushed off the left side, and the email previews are so large they extend half the way across from the right side. Previously most of the center was for email lists, but now it is just a small part that will only show two or three emails. How can I change it back the the old format?

Hey, I'm running Arch Linux (fwiw, KDE). Some websites seem to have a problem displaying some fonts properly (see attached screenshot). Tried anything I could find online, didn't help. Most sites display normal smooth font. Konqueror and Falkon don't seem to have this problem.

How can I stop firefox saving the same file twice at all while downloading? I don't know any scenario, where saving a renamed copy makes any sense. But I know scenarios, where this is deeply confusing.
I found this answer: https://support.mozilla.org/gl/questions/1365576#answer-1477483 , but it doesn't help much.
It only works if the downloaded file is not one of the type configured in "Applications" part. Action other than "save file" or "Allways ask" does ignore "Always ask you where to save files" setting.
So, is there any switch "never save renamed copies of the same file"?

Hi,
For years I have read directions to get my tabs back where is most logical for me, below the Bookmarks Toolbar. Now with this latest version of Firefox the workarounds I had before are not working.
To cut a long story short: I have made a Chrome folder under the Profile folder I have made CSS sheet with what looks like the commands I need. I have configured Firefox to read the userChrome.css sheet.
I have followed all the directions on this thread https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1375646 (most of which are repeated elsewhere) and it still doesn't work.
I am beyond frustrated - if anyone happens to know where I can go to request this as blinkin' option I would love to know.
Please could someone help me sort this out in the meantime though?
This is what is in the CSS sheet (which is in the correct place according to the above instructions - checked that already):
Thank you in advance.

This morning I noticed that my Firefox history has lost everything before April 2018. Fortunately I have another computer in sync with the first computer, and I was able to transfer the file places.squlite and recover my history. But why did it happen? And it's not the first time. Last year I lost from 2015 to 2017 or so. How can I prevent this from happening again?

I'm running Firefox 116.0.2 on Xubuntu 20.04.6. A day ago, it started loading at startup for no apparent reason. I don't want it to that. It's not my default browser, and it is not selected as such. It is not listed in any startup folders or in application autostart in system settings. I tried the winregister and auto update fixes using about:config, and no joy.
Does anyone have any suggestions? It's past annoying.

I trust you're all doing well. I'm currently facing a page not loading situation and could really use some assistance. It appears that someone at my company office has made changes to the settings on my PC, and now I'm in a bit of a bind. I'm unsure about the best way to restore things back to normal.
As a temporary measure, I've installed the Waterfox, browser besided by my private Firefox Focus which seems to be similar in functionality to Mozilla Firefox, as a backup for my work-related tasks. However, this has brought about a new set of issues. Numerous websites, including YouTube, are failing to load correctly. For example, when I access youtube.com, I can hear the audio from videos, but the visuals are not displaying. Furthermore, websites like http://wishcodes.com/ http://wishcodes.com/ are missing images, and even my Facebook page isn't loading.
I've attempted to clear my prime Firefox browser cache, hoping it would resolve the situation, but unfortunately, it hasn't worked. I'm truly hoping to identify a solution that won't involve losing any of my data, bookmarks, passwords, or other critical information.
Would you be kind enough to walk me through a simple method to address this problem? I'm very eager to resolve this without resorting to deleting any of my essential data. I genuinely appreciate your expertise and guidance.

I'm not sure when it happened, but somewhere along the line, Firefox stopped showing on-hover tooltips on unfocused windows. Clicking into the Firefox window again can disrupt what I'm doing in another window, however. For example trying to hover on the Firefox window with my mouse cursor, and type the text of the tooltip into a different window, while leaving the tooltip visible. Wrecks that idea!
I guess I assumed it'd be a temporary issue, that'd get resolved in a later update, without having to say anything about it, and I was wrong about that.
Any idea what's up, and how to get the tooltips to work as I would like them to?
