I power cycled my computer in order to install some Windows updates, and when I opened up Firefox again, I had precisely zero bookmarks.

I found this folder, which is supposed to contain my automatic backups: https://i.postimg.cc/bwrWBswd/A.png

But I can't figure out how to use those files to restore my bookmarks.

When I click on Manage Bookmarks > Import and Backup > Restore > Choose File, nothing happens. No other option seems viable.

I had an ASSLOAD of bookmarks on this browser, so I need to recover them because there's just no way I'll be able to remember them all manually and add them all back one at a time!

What do I do?

I did not even realize you had another update until I logged in this morning and my desktop firefox screen was completely changed and all my history and bookmarks are BLANK! I've wasted my entire morning trying to fix this! Your support materials are not working either as there are no bookmarks or history left! Ugh!

Hello, after an update Firefox has replaced my profile with a blank profile. When I go to about:profiles it lists 2 profiles. Profile: default-release and Profile: default-1392845565532. Both are empty. How can I recover my bookmarks and history? Best regards, David

why the [expletive] not?!! I need this to migrate to a new computer!!!! Damn you!!!!!!

This keeps happening and is getting worse every day.

Firefox is refusing to load tabs sometimes every few hours but recently every few minutes so I have to shut it down and restart it, sometimes when I do I lose all my pinned and non pinned tabs, I can't remember what they are so manually restoring them doesn't work.

There should be a way to backup all tabs so they can be restored when this happens.

FIX IT FFS.

OS: Linux Mint Latest update of Firefox

My Firefox accidentally closed (separate mousepad issue). I went in to try & restore previous session.... not an option.... so I figured I'd try 'recently closed tabs'. Clicked, saw reopen all tabs! Wouldn't work! Tried multiple times! Please help

I just replaced my Win 10 desktop with a new Win 11 desktop. I downloaded Firefox OK, but my bookmarks are no longer there, of course. I was told that there was some way to recover them to this machine, but I didn't get any details how. In fact, the person implied they would just appear when I downloaded Firefox to the new machine. Of course, this didn't happen. Firefox did appear to recognize me (got a "welcome back, by the way" message near the top of the page). Can I somehow recover my old bookmarks to this machine?

After the update occurred my desktop bookmarks was not here anymore! I need to get that desktop bookmars back and I can not figure out how to get it back PLEASE help me!!
