Firefox keeps crashing/hanging on startup. Any other browser I use is fine. Been using Firefox for years and would like to keep using it. This has been going on since August, so I have not really been using it since then. Tried all the troubleshoot steps that Mozilla recommends but still crashing e.g reinstall, fresh install.

Translation, may not be fully in line with your standard wording. The original message, in Swedish, below.

"When I seek information with Firefox, since some time I always get this error message from AVG: "Threat secured, We prevented your sonnection to thai.rontyig.come since it is adnagerous website. Threat category; URL.Blacklist"

Even when I search for AVG, the same msg is shown. If I use Chrome or AVG Secure browser, there is no error msg.

Home Page desktop bookmarks gone. Recent updates to both my deskyop (win 11) and laptop (win 10+) has erased all my desktop bookmarks. I tried numerous setting in Mozilla but still nothing. How do I get them back ?

I want to have a specific page open when I use the alt+home shortcut (or my keyboard's "home" media key). I know I can do this via the Home Page dropdowns, but that affects new pages and/or tabs. I want those to open blank pages, and only the keyboard shortcut to take me to my desired "home" page. Is this possible?

Please change my settings back to where important cookies aren't deleted! Now, every time I go to a regular trusted website (i.e. - to pay a bill) I have to register all over again! How do I change it?

Every time I open Firefox, and every time I click on a link in a Windows application that opens an internet link (with FF as default browser), even if FF is already open and running, I get the "this program needs your permission to make changes to your computer". How can I fix this glaring error? Mozilla no longer supports FF and I can't find anything about this on the Forum. I don't want to switch to a different browser, but I will if I need to. Please help.

I am on Pop OS. I ran some update and restarted and all of my tabs are gone and Firefox is not showing any history of them. I was under the impression that if I had an account it would keep track of the history but there is nothing there. How does this happen and why? Also how can I get my tabs back I am one of those people that has like 50 tabs open So I can run several things at once I never had this issue with goggle but for some reason it happens often with Firefox what gives?

After my macbook pro (Sequoia 15.7.7) restarted, every tab in both of my open Firefox windows were moved to a *tab group in a single window.* The tab group's name is the date—e.g., "2026-10-11 10:50 *". Right-click + `ungroup tabs` does nothing. If I open a new window, it automatically has a tab open in a tab group with a similar name. I can't move tabs into new tab groups. I hate this. I've lost all my previous tab groups, which I use to organize my work and hobbies, and now that's all gone. I've experienced this on TWO macbook pros. I also have a Windows 10 desktop, but that continues to work as expected.

Months ago, I disabled all AI features, and, and so in `about:config`, I can observe that `browser.tabs.groups.smart.*` are all set to false. I also just tried setting `browser.tabs.groups.enabled` to false, but it had no effect.

I am having issues making the menu bar reappear after I enter full screen and I am using only the touchscreen on my laptop I can't get it to reappear I have to tap the screen like crazy, when in the past I could just slide down and it just worked it.

i have tried multiple extent ions to disable ai in the search box on Firefox an nothing works i still get ai. Again why does everyone think ai is so great. why again are people not given a choice like do you want or not want ai. Hi! I´m using Jdownloader2. After an update of Firefox the captcha-extension of JDownloader didn´t work anymore. I reinstalled Firefox, but adding the extension is still prevented. Following quote appears: "Firefox hat die Website daran gehindert, Sie zu fragen, ob Software installiert werden soll" It should be in yellow (but it isn´t), like following site describes: https://support.mozilla.org/de/kb/Add-ons-koennen-nicht-installiert-werden#w_firefox-hat-die-website-daran-gehindert-sie-zu-fragen-ob-software-installiert-werden-soll Furthermore there should be a button to authorize the installation. Instead there is only the button "OK". I followed the help-site mentioned above to the letter, to no avail. By the way, I´m using Nightly now, but JDownloader2 automatically wants access to Firefox. I've been using kelly blue book to research new cars. Yesterday it would load the vehicle information, but when I click on the blue box "see pricing" it just reloads this page. Has worked fine for the past week or more, but yesterday started doing this?

Hi. Recently I have been having issues connecting to various websites including ones that I have connected to in the past. The first one that I noticed that I could no longer connect to was The Trek (https://thetrek.co/) which I have for several years had no issue connecting to. Now it is happening with various other websites. I want to continue to be able to access the blogs etc. on their website. Thank you!
