I have always used Gmail to email links, but it has stopped working. In Settings/General/Applications, the 'mailto" gives only the options "always ask", "Firefox (default)" and "use other". Previously the option to select Gmail was there. In fact, the list of applications only has 6 items instead of the numerous ones that were there previously.

When I open https://www.washingtonpost.com/ it loads but after a few seconds it goes blank. This started a few days ago and only happens on firefox.

Whenever I use the searchbar in the bookmarks manager, it always searches all of my bookmarks, but sometimes I might only want to search for that query within a specific folder. Is there any way to limit a bookmarks search to only a specific folder rather than the entirety of my bookmarks?

Windows auto-updated and my bookmark toolbar disappeared

I still see all of my bookmarks in the "Bookmarks" list, but none of them appear across the top of my screen, where they usually are and I can't put them back.

Wordle does not work properly on FireFox. It does not recognize characters that I enter as valid characters in the solution of the day. This occurs quite frequently.

not able to sign in on my account or track packages on FEDEX website. I talked with FEDEX and they say to try another browser and when I do the site works. I have tried taking off enhanced tracking and restarting in safe mode I cleared cookies and all. Is there a fix for this?

Recently my Firefox crashes sometimes when downloading a file for example from Yahoo mail. This is not happening always, but sometimes when downloading a file. I have the latest version of Firefox, Windows 10. I changed password, deleted cookies, did full virus scan, but the problem still persists. Is this an issue of the new version of Firefox and will be fixed with the new update of Firefox ? This is happening only with Firefox and not with other browsers.

Hi, I am trying to save my most important Bookmarks as Shortcuts in Firefox Homepage, but Firefox is not showing the icons of the shortcuts, instead it is showing as Letters of the site. Please refer the image that I have attached. Incase if the image in the attachment fails, use this link Do note that the icons in bookmarks bar are showing fine, but the problem is only in Homepage shortcuts. I have tried to upload files in several websites and the "upload" button isn't working. I tried in Safari and I'm not having this issue. It's an issue keeping me from working. Does anyone know how to fix it?

Is there any way to keep an older version of Firefox without its getting upgraded all the time? Version 99 only has a small header at the top, so there is still space on my screen to see the website I'm trying to see. The newer versions (100 and newer) take up too much space on my screen. Every site has its own headers, and so I am left with about an inch of working space. That's really not enough to see anything.

Is there a way to get the security updates without the new look? Is there a Firefox Light version available, with minimal headers and all? I prefer Firefox, and would love to keep it. Having to reinstall it (to get the older version back) several times a week is not good.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks very much!

I noticed that a setting on the about:config page was removed: the "security.csp.enable" setting. I was using this setting to disable CSP to be able to load local JS scripts on some non-locally hosted sites, for debugging and development, work related purposes.

Was this setting really removed? Is there a way to disable CSP on Firefox on the latest version?

Last week attaching documents using drag and drop suddenly stopped working for Outlook webmail. I've seen the same problem posted here, but no response yet. Already tested, this feature still does work in outlook when using Safari, so there is some new incompatibility between outlook and firefox. I really do NOT want to change browsers as I've been using Firefox forever, but this is a deal breaker. Please please Firefox, show some evidence that this new apparent incompatibility is being fixed. Thanks!

p.s. this doesn't seem like it should be left to volunteers, is there a way for messages to reach someone who actually works for firefox?

Since about a month ago I can't drag a file from a folder to an open email in Firefox. Was always able to, but it stopped a few weeks ago. I read that the new 99.01 version would fix this, I installed it today and the problem persists. What am I missing? Thank you to anyone who reads, cares and replies with solution.

Is there a maximum number of tabs that can be synced? I have about 800 tabs on my old computer, but when I look at the synced tabs in the sidebar on the new computer, only about half of them are listed. The oldest 400 or so are missing.

And yes, I realize 800 tabs is insane. But that's another discussion. :)

The styles look astonishingly wrong, I really think it is a problem on my end, but cant figure out how to fix it, as you can see in the pictures, text is incorrectly sized and/or justified, color gradients are also weird looking, as well as sizing of many elements and tons of other things.

I have tried to completely remove Firefox from my system and reinstalling it, that did not seem to fix it. The reason I think is is a problem of mine is because i was playing with fonts (emojis weren't working on my system,not on Firefox tho, now they are in both)

I don't think the things i did with the fonts did anything to Firefox, since this problem only showed up on Firefox, but since the problem arrived just after a reboot while I was installing and removing the fonts, I think its important to mention.

To sum up I think the problem comes from my local configuration of Firefox, I probably did not delete it all before reinstalling, I am running (Arch btw) a current version of EndevourOS.

Using Firefox version 99.0 (64bit). When I click "Bookmarks / Manage Bookmarks, the listing defaults to the "Other Bookmarks" folder. I would like it to default to the "Bookmarks Menu" folder. How do I make it do that?

For a few days now, I have not been able to play videos. I get this message in the video screen: "If playback doesn’t begin shortly, try restarting your device." When I opened Firefox in Troubleshooting mode, the video played OK and then when I stopped Troubleshooting mode the videos continued to play OK. However, on the next day the problem reappears. FireFox Developer 99.0b8 (64-bit) on the "aurora update channel" on Windows 10 PC (version 1803, build 17134.2208)

I notice whenever an update is pending (the green dot appears in the icon for the "Open Application Menu"), FF becomes unresponsive in a way. When it happens: It does not totally freeze. I can select/switch between existing tabs & scroll thru their pages. I can close tabs. I can open a new empty tab. But I can't load or refresh any pages. The only fix is to do the update, and re-launch.

Since the developer edition gets updated frequently, it is a pain.

I like the Developer Tools! But... How can I scale back the FF "update frequency", or "change the channel", so updates are, like monthly at most?

I recently upgraded graphics cards from an Nvidia GTX 1080 to an AMD 6900XT. Since then I noticed video stuttering on YouTube while playing 4k videos, especially noticeable at 4k/60FPS (example video ). Prior to the upgrade, I was not experiencing issues.

I monitored task manager as the video was playing to see CPU usage, which was sitting at 25% (4 core 8 thread CPU). GPU usage was fluctuating from 1-3%.

I tried resetting all the changed configuration options in about:config, removing all add-ons, "Refreshing" Firefox, and ultimately uninstalling and reinstalling. Nothing has worked so far except for "Troubleshooting mode" in about:support. In that mode, I experience no stuttering and GPU usage rises to 25-35% with the video playing, even before I reinstalled.

This most likely isn't a networking issue as the "Stats for nerds" option on the YouTube video shows I have 10-20s of buffer while the video is still stuttering.

I would like to find out what's different about Troubleshooting Mode that is not giving me the same problem while in "Normal Mode". Any advice?
