now using 153.0.1 from old 140.13.0 but i do not see a home page icon so i can go back to the home page after visiting a web site such as facebook, etc. in settings i have Firefox set as default, but still do not see the little house icon for going to home page. How do I get the home page icon to appear somewhere with 153.0.1

My Hoepage is set to Firefox. In the center of that page is a Search box which I used always. Now when I try to type in it, my cursor shoots up to the top to the ADDRESS bar. I do NOT want to SEARCH from the address bar. I want to search in the Firefox search box. I also have Duckduckgo set up in that search bar. After the last 2 Firefox updates, I can no longer type my search in that box, but can ONLY search in the ADDRESS bar. Please help be restore the use of the Firefox Search box.

i tried everything in setting , nothing works these suggested shortcuts automatically attached to my home page i did deselect this feature in setting but still they pop up on my home page and the other problem is i am not able to search in my web search section on the home page what is that so ? why this isnt fixed yet ?

don't want other sites visited saved to home page

how do I save only pinned websites on home page? Do not want to add any website to the home page unless it is pinned.

I don't know what happened, but all of a sudden, when I open firefox, I get a blank page--it used to ahve at leat 10 or more great articles form all sorts of sources=I tried to reinstall, update and still the same.

Well I'm trying to add my shortcut History to my home and when I go into settings and try to turn them on They are all grayed out and I am unable to find a solution to turn them back on

This is probably more a suggestion than a question.

In the "Home" section of the settings under "Firefox Home Content" there are two different settings for creating shortcuts for pages you visit - one under the choice of "Shortcuts" (on/off) and then just below that there is another choice for "Recent Activity" (on/off) with a sub-menu (on/off) choice for "Visited Pages".

I realize these are two different things (logo thumbnail for the first/webpage images for the second). But I find it not only redundant, but since I don't want to clutter my home page with recent visits, and I only chose the first shortcut setting, every time I visit a site, that is now added to the icons that I HAVE chosen. And worse, when I delete one, a new one pops up in its place, sometimes four or five or more times, whether I "Dismiss" or "Delete from history".

It seems to me that there should be a choice for "Sites visited" in the Shortcuts choice or not include that at all.

The only way to s top it is to fill up the rows. I'm getting there but until I do, I keep fighting with these new shortcuts popping up on their own.
